    Chimney Repair

    The bricks and mortar around the top of our chimney were crumbling and needed repair. Compared to some of the other contractors we contacted, we could tell right from the initial phone call with Otto's Masonry that they were professionals. They were able to come by and give us a quote within a couple of days of our first phone call, and their quote was very competitive. After setting a date to do the work, they came when they said they would come, and finished the job within a couple of hours. Both of the men who came to do the job were very friendly, and I was impressed with how well they cleaned up after. We had a great experience with Otto's Masonry from beginning to end, and I would definitely call them again if I needed more brickwork done.

    concrete/interlocking repairs and patio stone walkway

    Our project involved repairs to interlocking, change of grade to an interlock walkway, parging concrete and creating a patio walkway around a deck. Otto provided a reasonable estimate, summarized exactly what was to be done and when it would be done. His staff showed up on time, were professional in demeanour, courteous and receptive to suggestions. Quality of work was excellent. Otto regularly inspected work in progress and made worthy suggestions. Overall, a very professional team commited to quality workmanship and exceptional customer service. I would absolutely have no hesitation in recommending them.

    Masonry repair & stone cap

    We firstly found another company to repair our masonry,they came to inspect,but never gave our estimation price, then we fortunately found Otto's. They gave us very competitive price and did a very professional job. Thanks!

    Remove brick above firebox to lower fireplace mantel

    I found Otto's Masonry on Homestars and was very impressed by the reviews. I am happy to report that they were right! I contacted Otto for help to lower my mantel so that we can put the TV above the fireplace. Dealing with Otto and his staff was a pleasure. Not only did Otto give me a reasonable quote, but his manner was wonderful. He is a polite gentleman and explained things to my satisfaction. Tony, his office manager, was prompt and always responded to my emails in a timely manner. Eckhart did a fantastic job with the brick work. In fact, it was better than I had even anticipated. There was no mess left afterwards either! I can honestly say that I would highly recommend Otto and plan to use him again in the future.

    Brick Laying

    We recently converted our duplex into a single family dwelling. Because it was a duplex, we had two side by side front doors. We wanted to replace the left door with a window and cover the rest of the gap left by the removal of the door with bricks. Otto came to see the work to be accomplished and provided us with clear explanations regarding this brick job and also furnished great tips as to how to best place the window. The final result was amazing. You can't tell at all that there used to be two entrance doors. Otto seems to have access to a collection of old bricks just like the ones my house was built with 80 years ago. Eventhough the results were amazing, Otto said he was not satisfied with one brick(!)that his employee put in. He had somebody come the next day to change it! You can certainly count on him for a great job.

    New window ledges and brick/chimney repair

    We needed to replace crumbling bricks on our window sills and around the chimney. I checked homestars first (I always do now!) and found Otto. Impressive team - very professional, very clean and respectful of our property and when one aspect of the job turned out to be less work than anticipated, Otto reduced the bill. That level of professionalism and honesty is rare and we so appreciated it.

    Repair to front steps

    The front steps of our 70 year old house were crumbling, but we didn't want to replace the whole thing just yet. I saw Otto's work up the street and was so impressed that I called him. He came over promptly to scope the job. He never tried to up sell me or convinve me to redo the staircase. Even though it was a small repair job, he completed it in a very timely manner and it looks great. When I'm ready to invest in a whole new staircase I will definately call Otto for the job.

    Brick replacement

    The quote we received was competitive, and the work was performed sooner than originally scheduled. Three sections of a brick wall under the front porch needed to be replaced as two were crumbling and another was sagging from water infiltration. An old milk box was no longer being used and had this removed and bricked up as well. Two guys came and removed all the old brick, and another fellow came the next day to lay the bricks. We are very pleased with the work done as it was a gift for my parents. They too are very pleased with the work and colour matching of the bricks on the side of home. We would not hesitate to recommend or call Otto and his crew back for another job. Thank you!

    Chimney Repair

    I called Otto's office on Friday for a smallish repair the top 1/3 of my chimney. He came the next morning to inspect the chimney and as he provided a very reasonable estimate, I asked him to make some small repairs to a couple of window ledges. The work was completed the following Saturday and Otto came by himself to make sure everything was going well. I'm very pleased with the work done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend his company.

    Chimney tuck pointing - very narrow alley

    Owning a 100+ year-old home, I share a very narrow alley with my neighbours. This alley facilitates (very limited/narrow) access to a 2-story brick chimney which required tuck pointing (i.e. replacing mortar between bricks) due to lont-term water/weathernig damage). Otto visited and inspected the chimney and supplied a very reasonable and accurate estimate. The work was scheduled rapidly and two workers were sent to complete the job...in a single working day. Upon completing the work, the workers cleaned the work-site and I was invoice promptly. 5-star service all around. Thanx guys :)
