Lakeview Floors and Matt Thompson did an excellent job of refinishing our existing hardwood floors. The workers were professional, and estimates were accurate. We are extremely happy with the final product and we highly recommend them.

Be careful what you are buying. I had an insurance repair due to a flooded kitchen. Brad (Lakeview) estimated and quoted the amount of floor to replace at 140 sq ft, insurance had estimated 90, the installer (sub contractor from Lakeview) replaced only 80; however I had to pay for 140 of new floor and 140 of install as per the quote. Clearly a 55% markup! The install work was a good job, however the refinishing sub-contractor was insecure about matching the existing floor color and Lakeview then declined on completing the job. I had to find another refinisher who then did the work with no problems on matching (standard natural oak) and for 30% less than Lakeview quote! Measure your own floor and don't listen to any up-sell sizing excuses.

We used Lakeview Floors to install hardwood in our front entry and to sand and refinish the rest of our hardwood floors so that they all matched. Mat was excellent to deal with. Very professional, calm and knowledgeable with high standards. We had a couple of glitches that were dealt with professionally and without any hesitation. We are really happy with our floors and would absolutely use Lakeview again.

I would not recommend using this company. They outsource everything and they have little..wait no way to control the quality of work they provide. Billing is a nightmare and don't trust their sales manager, he is not a professional.

Working with Lakeview was difficult. They shorted our 1400 s.f. hardwood order by 100 s.f. We paid the full amount for the hardwood upon delivery. They went ahead and installed what was on site and told us the remaining hardwood should arrive in about a week. It was about 6 weeks before the flooring arrived profoundly affecting other trades working on site. They gave us stain samples which were unacceptable, in that they did not give the true finished look and they were inconsistent. I tried to talk with Jordan about this and so did our designer. Both of us were rudely rebuffed. We battled for many weeks to get them to give us a proper stain sample. Finally, to their credit, they did finally give us a stain sample we could use, just before finishing. The first hardwood installer did a great job. The one that installed the remaining 100 s.f. was a disaster, damaging baseboards and other issues that have never been properly resolved. The baseboards, where the remaining hardwood was to be installed were installed because the finishing contractor had other jobs waiting for him and there was no indication as to when the remaining hardwood would arrive. Because of the situation we asked Lakeview and they said go ahead and install the baseboards. The hardwood flooring was finally installed nearly 2 months past the scheduled date. We were then told that they wanted full payment before the floors were sanded, stained and finished. We were quite concerned about this because of the past issues with them. They refused to stain and finish the floors unless we paid them in full, even though the contract stated the remaining payment was to be made after completion of the job. Brad, Jordan and other staff we dealt with, save one, were very rude and difficult to work with. The carpet install was mediocre, at best. This is a company that I could not, in good conscience, recommend to anyone. As to Lakeview's response: We were in no way delinquent or deficient in payment at any time. If you have proof of such, please present it. Your insinuation is utterly untrue and unappreciated. Moreover, you did not complete our project 2 years ago but completed our project just over a year ago. Your response is typical of the treatment we received from Lakeview.

My Girl friend and I shopped around for almost 3 months.. very ehausting so many choices and dealers.. I appreciated Brad's approach at Lakeview Floors. he was helpful knowledgeable and not pushy.. in the end it was his service and the confidence we had in Brad that made our decision .. the Installers James and Jesse were polite clean and curtious and their work was perfect.. To sum it up there wasnt one thing that went wrong from start to finish! Thanks to Brad and Tthe installers Jesse and James.

We were recarpeting 2 levels & a staircase prior to selling our townhouse. they were really helpful & flexible when our project went through a whole series of changes. Their flexibility took a big weight of our minds at a stressful time.

Our walnut hard wood floors had been dteroyed by our dog (90lb boxer). They were covered in 5 years of scratches. Some were quite deep. I met with Mat from Lakeview Floors to get a quote. Out of all the companies I had met with, he was the most knowledgeable, price was comparable to others. He was very helpful in answering all of my questions and sent out a great crew of two guys to re-finish our floors. We couldn't be more happy with the outcome. All in all the process was quite painless on our end (virtually no dust and finished in 3 days!!). Would recommend them again in a heartbeat!

Matt Thompson at Lakeview was excellent. I met him / was introduced to his company at Calgary's home show. At that time, I had visited a number of flooring companies to consult about a complete renovation of my home's flooring (a very large job!). After meeting with Matt and seeing how very much more he seemed to know than the representatives from the other companies, I decided to visit Lakeview's showroom. All of the staff at Lakeview were fantastic; kind and helpful. The showroom itself was tidy, and had a large number of products for me to consider. Though it took a while, I found exactly what I had been looking for. (Make sure you come early if you visit on a weekend, or make an appointment; the place is very busy!) The job was scheduled on a timely basis, and the product arrived on time. The price for my project was relatively equal to the other companies I had been considering. Matt came to visit a number of times; to ensure measurements were correct, that I was happy with the way the job was progressing, and that I was pleased after it was completed. The crews that came to lay both my hardwood (Sonny) and my carpets were great. The job was very stressful, but thanks to Matt, I was reassured that in the end, the job would turn out right. I am pleased to say that he was right. I have received many compliments on my new floors! I would highly recommend Lakeview floors (and Matt) to anyone considering new flooring. I have already done so to a number of my friends, and they have all been pleased as well.

Thank you to Alberta Hardwood Flooring, for saving my floors! I initially contracted with a company, who apparently had 15 years of experience,to refinish my hardwood floors (dustless sanding). It was a bad experience from the beginning! This contractor started late, equipment was continuously breaking down, workers only worked 2-3 hours a day, incorrect advise on staining options and the dust was horrendous. Besides been upset about this contractors work ethic I had serious concerns on the actual quality of work. I contacted Mike Smith at Alberta Hardwood and he agreed to inspect my floors. Mike not only confirmed my concerns but also pointed out many additional errors! I hired Alberta Hardwood to repair the damage and finish off my floors. Alberta hardwoods service was impeccable ! They started & completed my project on time, they always left my home neat & tidy, the dust was minimal and they provided professional advise on the appropriate staining options. My hardwood floors look brand new. Thank you Alberta Hardwood, your team is worth every cent.
