    Upgrade 27 year old furnace and water heater

    The two installers arrived right on time, after I received a call to say they were on their way. Both gentlemen were very courteous, and answered all my questions well, and I had lots of them. The main installer, Patrick, was very helpful, and courteous. His co worker, Mitchell, was exactly the same and I cannot say enough good about them. Action Furnace should be proud to have them on their team. Mitchell was a journeyman, and Patrick was very helpful to him, in the fact that he would take the time to stop what he was doing and help Mitchell and answer all questions he had. I personally feel that an extra installer could have been used to help Mitchell, leaving Patrick to continue on. I don't think they were planning on starting the job at 9 am and finish at 8:30 pm. This is something that Action Furnace should look at, I think. Cleanup was great, everything was great. Patrick and Mitchell were terrific. Thank you, Action Furnace Edmonton.

    furnace replacement

    Matt and Derek installed my new furnace today Aug. 25,2017. They did a great job and explained all the functions. The clean up was great and I would recommend Action to my neighbors, as my condo is 30 years old and the lifespan of many of the appliances is coming to an end.

    New Furnace and A/C Installed

    Excellent discussion with Sales Rep in which he clearly explained the functionality of the various products. No pressure tactics to buy something we didn't need. Excellent installation by technicians. Friendly with pristine cleanup afterwards. Fully explained the system and how to use it. I highly recommend this company.

    Air Conditioning

    After requesting 4 quotes, Action Furnace was the only one to contact me. The rep was thorough and helpful throughout the process, carefully explaining what we needed and did not try to oversell. Installation was less than a week and the guys who came out were experienced and respectful. Both went to great lengths to help answer any questions we had. We are very satisfied with their work and their commitment to customer service - a virtue that is lacking these days.

    Air Conditioner Install

    Paid $3500 to install an air conditioner. The unit is extremely underpowered, and cannot keep up with even the most moderate of summer days. It will power on for 20-30 minutes before taking a 5 minute break before powering on again. I should have gone with a better company. I am not attempting to keep the temperature very cold, When it is 29 outside I set it to 25, and it never shuts off. All blinds and windows closed. I was not presented any options, just their summer special air conditioner install. I should have bought a better unit from a better company.

    Double furnace replacement

    James, who was the lead installer, was remarkably professional, explained exactly what he was doing, and answered all my questions. He walked me through exactly what their plan of action and he stuck to that plan. When I got them inspected the inspector said Action Furnace makes his job very easy. 10/10, would recommend Action Furnace to friends and family.

    Diagnosis / Care Club

    Do not use this company. We had them out to our 3 times before they finally diagnosed a new A/C u it was needed. Took almost a month. Also - the Care Club is a complete waste - don't let them keep selling you on it. Also - don't fill in the paperwork - they will X it after the fact without your permission.

    Heating and Air Conditioning Equipment purchase & Replacement

    Moved into my new home and soon found an air conditioner was needed. Got quotes and decided to buy from Action. The following summer it required cooling fluid. Action was prompt to reply to my call and with no charge. This winter my furnace required repairs. However, due to the system's age original parts were no longer available. Action attempted to use a generic part but the furnace was not strong enough to function properly. Rather than risk complete mid winter breakdown, I decided to replace the entire system. Action gaveme a full credit for the parts and labour of the previous service call. I find Action to be a reliable, trustworthy company. For you next heating or air conditioning needs, Action Furnace is definitely a company you should consider.

    Blower motor replaced and A/C wire broke

    Blower motor went on furnace during -30 week in Calgary. Action Furnace was recommended by many friends and came out and did service next day. The cost was much higher than I had expected and was not quoted an actual price over phone as they could not predict problem. I needed it done and worker was very nice and suggested I needed a cleaning. However when I went to start A/C it would not turn on. I tried to fix myself but was not able to find problem. Likely I had a friend have a friend come over to look at. I did not want to pay another 80 to 120 dollars to assess problem. After looking at unit he found A/C was not getting power. Traced problem to a broken wire right at furnace and in fact he said it looked disconnected. I then told him blower had been replaced in winter and he was upset he had not taken pick. He is a registered HVAC technician and said it looked suspicious. It may have been a simple error or a mistake but I would have at least been charged a service call and charged because it was not a problem related to blower. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

    Furnace

    I bought two new high efficiency furnaces and two new hot water tanks. The sales and installation was very good. However, the upstairs furnace would not keep up with the air conditioner in the summer. I had service come out several times and they were very professional and nice. However the problem was never solved. They told me I need a stronger air conditioner which was odd because the AC worked fine with the old furnace. Now it is winter and the furnace will not keep up with the heat. I have adjusted the heat 0.5 degrees and the furnace has been running for 45 minutes with no temperature change. the nest thermostat says the temperature will be reached in > 2 hours. I'm not sure if they installed a lemon or if the furnace is too small but it runs almost constantly trying to keep up. I have called and left messages but have not received any calls back. I am not happy with the follow up service.
