    window replacement

    We replaced all of the windows in our 1960 bungalow. When starting the process with Lux, they insisted we did not require any permits even though we were enlarging window openings. The installed the windows but neglected to use a seal around the window bottom sill and sides. When this was pointed out they told us it was not required. Our exterior renovation contractor contacted them on our behalf and told them that it was required to meet the envolope codes for Calgary. Lux told us that the codes are difficult to interpret and were not aware of this. It took Lux a month to come back and redo the windows which held up the rest of our renovation. In the meantime time (before the job was complete) they insisted on full payment and threatened legal action. Even after they redid the windows I had to call them back because they didn't bother to shim 80% of the windows resulting in them bowing along the sides. The door they installed was also out of plumb and square. When they finally fixed everything, they left a mess of the styrofoam expanding foam all over the window sills. As a result of them installing and replacing the windows several times, they damaged the drywall and we had to have a drywaller come in to fix all of the damage. I will never use Lux again.

    Replaced 3 doors, 1 patio door, 11 windows in house & garage

    Very impressed with the quality & workmanship of Lux windows. They delivered on time, quality of workmanship of product & installation was magnificient, very prompt & tidy after the job. They explained all the info required as we were ordering & measuring for the windows & doors. A job above & beyond

    WINDOW REPLACEMENT

    TALKED TO RAY LANGEFELD AT LUX WINDOWS. RAY KNOWS WINDOWS. GREAT GUY TO WORK WITH, VERY ATTENTATIVE. LOOKED AT POSSIBLE REPLACEMENT IDEAS AND HE DID IT UNDER 45 MINUTES. OTHER SHOP WAS PAINSTAKINGLY SLOW. DEFINITELY SEE RAY AT LUX FOR FUTURE REPLACEMENTS.

    Windows & Door Reno

    I could not be more thrilled with Lux Windows. I had excellent service from the moment I walked in the door. My husband and I went to a few different companies but felt comfortable letting Lux renovate our home. It was not the cheapest price we got but I have learned in the past that you get what you pay for. The showroom is absolutely stunning, the best we've seen. Steve was down to earth and explained everything so clearly. Rob the Installation Manager was a delight and the installers were fantastic! Other then the beautiful new windows and door in my home you wouldn't have even known they were there - they cleaned everything so perfectly and treated my home with respect. I have already recommended Lux Windows to my family and will continue to do so.

    Door Frame

    Our elderly mother was a victim of a devestating and expensive break enter just after Christmas last year. The Lux salesperson came out and we discussed her needs, however he neglected to ensure the work order was written up properly and the frame that they made was not prepped for an outer storm door. We were initially advised that it would have to come out of her pocket because Lux did not install the door, they just made it. Hmm. This was extremely upsetting after the financial and emotional toll she already suffered and being on a limited income she could not afford to pay for Lux's mistake. Had the salesperson written the work order properly the first time the insurance company would have covered it. It took some time and persistence but in the end Lux did .finally reimburse us after we paid to have the error rectified. At least John the sales manager stood behind their customers (our family has purchased windows from Lux before), it is unfortunate that we had to be so persistent to get finally them to be accountable causing a senior to stress and worry.. But in the end we are greatful they came through for her. So thanks John

    Window Installation

    Everything was fine...until the end! Nathan was good as a front man. Sending the installation team to check the job and make a second measurement made a ton of sense. A day for installation was set and confirmed by Lux. The installers arrived promptly on time, worked quickly and cleaned up quite acceptably. From a distance I was pleased overall with window appearance but disappointed the windows were not cleaned to finish the job. I thought, "Okay, it will only take me 5 minutes to get the marks off the window and the job is done". NOT SO!! The window glass and frames were covered with all this grease and glue so that I put a couple of hours work into cleaning the windows and this stuff was very stubborn to remove. Winter has come and I do not think I have it all off yet.There was so much glue over the glass and frame that the issue had to be a product of the manufacture and not the installation. So, get Lux windows but just check the product before the windows are installed so that you also do not run into this "sticky" situation.

    Replaced all windows and doors on our bungalow

    We renovated our 2000 sq ft bungalow, replaced and added new windows and doors. The service was exceptional and the product was very well made and installed. Their customer service was exceptional.

    Installation of new replacement windows

    Great custmer service. Good value. They come when they say they will. Courteous. they Clean up after themsevles. We have used them befor and will use them again as they always come through with what they promis

    Love Lux!!

    I first used Lux two years ago to replace a few old windows. I was so satisied with the results that I have since then replaced ALL the windows and doors in my home. I love dealing with a local family business, I even got to tour their plant!! The price was very reasonable for the quality I received and I have recommended them to many friends and family. My mother-in-law replaced her front door based on my referral and she raved about the way they cleaned up after themselves. Other then the new door, you would have never known that they were there. A friend of mine went with a different company based on a lower price and has had numerous issues, last time he was at my house he mentioned that he should have listened to me in the first place and went with Lux!

    Replaced windows

    Lux replaced my dining room window 2 years ago. A few months after instalation I noticed it was leaking and had caused damage to the indoor casement. Lux came and re did the sealent but refused to do anything about the damaged indoor casement that had sustained water damage
