    Service call

    My furnace went out at the coldest day. Dr. HVAC responded quickly. Sean’s expertise was excellent and what he did not know he would call the manufacturer to find out. He gave me several options to go with. I would recommend this company.

    All I asked for was annual maintenance but ....

    This was my personal experience and may not be your experience. I reviewed Homestars before picking a service provider. The reviews were glowing so I went with Dr Hvac. I asked for my annual furnace and fireplace maintenance in October Technician said I had a slight defect with furnace, they red tagged me and recommended expensive part and ideally furnace replacement. Technician said I needed an expensive part to be replaced in fireplace as well. Within days I was being called to make a sales appt for a new furnace. I said no thank you and wanted a 2nd opinion. I did ask when would the fireplace part be replaced and they said they would get back to me. Over the next 2 months, I periodically asked for an update and radio silence. In the mean time, I get a 2nd opinion from another provider and 1) they fixed the defect without a new part or a new furnace saving me $500-$4000 depending on the 2 options provided 2) they only charged me for a standard visit and 3) they were able to find the fireplace part within a week. I then notify Dr Hvac that unfortunately I will be submitting a low rated review for them based on this experience. Then I get a reply apologizing for the delay and offering a free inspection in the spring. Far too little and too late. PROS Pleasant technician CONS Focused on upselling you and not what is needed Only responded quickly if potential furnace sale No timely communication or feedback for parts to repair issue Honesty is questionable The ultimate question is would I use them again. Naturally, the answer is no based on my experience. But you can bet that i will be using the 2nd opinion service provider for all my future HVAC needs. I hope this review is helpful to others that may be considering this service provider. Morale of the story. If you are not sure what you are being told, get a second opinion. It was more than worth it for me.

    Highly recommended.

    Great customer service. Knowledgeable and responsive. Called and technician arrived within 2 hours. Brendan answered all of my questions thoroughly with patience. Very clear that they take pride in their name and the service they provide.

    Repair

    Hot water heated floor had air in the lines. He bled the lines and showed me how to do it myself. Sean was a pleasure to work with. This is the second time we have called Dr. HVAC. Will call again!

    replace broken furnace

    Called Sean in for checking the old furnace (32 years old, shocked Sean as well), he ran on all tests for almost 3 hours and explained to me the best option is to get a new one. This part only cost me a flat rate of 89$ + tax. After a few interviews I decided Dr HVAC for the new furnace although their price is higher, but for things need to be replaced once in 20+ years I weight more on reliability and customer services and Dr HVAC win. At the end of the day my home warm again, my wife start BXXXXing me: who said money can't but you happiness. (well, I said that when we married, while I was as broken as my old furnace, so my wife keep BXXXXing me for that during the past 16 years, till 2040 I guess).

    Humidifier inspection

    I had asked for a technician who could troubleshoot but also thoroughly explain how our humidifier worked. The unit was already installed when we moved into the house, and there was no manual or electrical schematic available. Dr. HVAC matched me up with Erich, which was perfect since he was very thorough in his explanation of how everything worked, and was also able to diagnose what was happening. He was also on time, which is very unusual with our experience with similar contractors.

    Fixing improperly Sloped Furnace Exhaust Pipe

    Erich did a great job diagnosing and dealing with the issues found with our furnace. He was very punctual and knowledgeable and extremely helpful answer all questions that were asked of him. I would contact Dr. HVAC and ask for Erich again for future jobs.

    Furnace tuneup

    Sean did a very thorough job in checking all aspects of my furnace and ensuring that the furnace was in good working order. He was very pleasant, courteous and very professional. He explained every aspect of what he was doing and why and this was very much appreciated. Can't say enough about this company and especially Sean Faegan. I have had other companies service my furnace but no other company left me with the feeling of confidence than DrHVAC did. Thank you Sean!

    Estimate appointment

    My wife and I met with Bruna on week night which was really great because of our schedules. Bruno was knowledgable, sincere and we liked her right away. We are very happy with the price she gave us for a Trane furnace and air conditioning installed.

    Honesty and great service

    Had a furnace issue and always dreaded looking for help in these matters, past experience with various HIP programs was a disappointment. First time customer with Dr HAVAC and the teck Eric was super! He made a point to explain everything to me and gave me options. Will definitely use again!
