    Leaky kitchen sink

    Very impressed - Bryce did a very thorough job - he was very tidy, efficient, pleasant and willing to answer any questions I had for him. I will definitely use them again.

    Toilet Repair

    Easy to see why Butler has great ratings - the service is exceptional. From our conversations with Chelsey and Vey, to the excellent work and follow up from Travis, it has been 100%!! No hesitation to contact them again or recommend to friends/family. Thanks again for excellent work.

    Hot water tank replacement

    Called on a Wednesday and had the work scheduled for Monday morning. Rod called ahead, arrived on time and did a great job on the install. There was no mess left behind and he called later in the day to ensure everything about the installation was good. I would recommend to anyone.

    Fixed leak in hot water pipe

    Thursday before the Easter weekend our hot water pipe started to drip at a "T". By the time that Bryce from Butler Plumblng arrived, the leak had increased to steady stream of water. Butler was able to fix the problem same day. Good show, you guys.

    Hot Water Tank Repair

    Dan came on time, and was courteous and seemed to know what the issue was right away. There was no wasted time, and he got the job done quickly while explaining how I could troubleshoot future problems. I would call them again in a heartbeat! Thanks guys!

    Drain plugged

    Based on the reviews on this site I called butler plumbing yesterday. Very friendly customer service representative. Advised that I had a drain problem that was not an emergency. Rep advised that someone would be out next morning. He called at 8:00 am and arrived shortly thereafter. Extremely pleasant and professional. Solved my problem and a couple of others that came up. Kept me well informed when performing job. Encountered a few challenges along the way but dealt with them with a sense of humor and without getting frustrated. Invoice very reasonable and easy payment methods. Will definitely recommend to others.

    NTI Matrix Service and Repair

    These guys are rock stars! The two Kevins, in particular, looked after some badly needed maintenance and upgraded/repaired and corrected a number of issues on my NTI Matrix. They installed a filter for my glycol and configured the demand hot water correctly (the original installer did a rather shoddy job and never completed the installation). They responded to my service request and lived up to everything they said they would do with no surprises. In the past, I've had big challenges trying to find a service company that was both reliable and had the ability to deal with the technical challenges that hydronic/forced air/demand hot water systems can present. I'm glad I found them and I highly recommend them.

    Plumbing service

    I called Butler at midnight when we discovered water on the floor in three basement rooms. Kevin helped assess the situation on the phone, suggested we mop up what we could, and advised us to turn off the main water supply until he arrived first thing in the morning. He did a thorough job of inspecting all possible sources of water leaks (weeping tile, pipes, water meter, foundation, outside snow melt) and explained the problem seemed to be a small crack in the foundation. I appreciate his competency. He checked another small basement ceiling leak where he found it must be water running onto the floor from an upstairs shower and down to the ceiling below. A simple plastic guard will help prevent that from occurring. We now know how to move forward with the insurance company and the foundation. Thanks Kevin for a super job!

    Hot water tank and vent replacement, added gas line for BBQ & replaced no freeze faucet on side of house.

    We needed to replace our hot water tank and I figured that while I had a plumber here, it would make sense to run a gas line for a BBQ to our deck and also replace our no freeze faucet on the side of the house since it was not very good any more. Butler said that they needed to do a quote for the gas line but they could also incorporate the rest of the job in the quote as well. Kevin came out to do the quote and was very professional. I knew right away that I could trust them to do good work. Another good thing about the quote was that Kevin noticed the vent for the hot water tank was only 3" and needed to be 4". Without the estimate, that detail would have been overlooked and we would have had a problem on the day of the work. As much as I did not want to have to change it, I'm very glad that the issue was caught and that things are proper now. Bryce, Rod & Kale did an excellent job and I am very happy at how efficient and professional they were. I would not hesitate to recommend Butler Plumbing to anyone I know and I will definitely use them again in the future. Thanks Kevin.

    Boiler

    Had this company come to our house (acreage approx. 25min outside city limits) told them exactly what needed to be done with part they needed to install. Scheduled appointment for 8am and again called to confirm the time to make sure they would be at my house at 8am. Company confirmed again that they would be at my house at 8am. Received a phone call at 810 stating they would not be at my house till after 9am. Job took 45min, charged $230 dispatch fee just to drive to my house! which was not disclosed to me. Told me that I should have asked. No other company has ever charged me $230 for them to just come to my house and then charge me their hourly rate and parts. Stated he would be out of business if they did not charge this! wow that is $3.80 a min/ company also stated they should not have been 70min late and also stated they did not disclose the dispatch fee. Apparently his company time is more than mine! I have used many trades in the past but first company to charge me $230 to drive to my house and not disclose this!!! I wish I could all make $230 for hour commute!

With the distance you are out of Edmonton we should have been a little more organized to make the agreed time. We underestimated the travel time and called you too late. It doesn't happen often, I'm very sorry it happened to you, and I have made the fixes here to prevent it in the future. Also we have standard travel rates that we that should have been discussed and confirmed with you. Please trust if you would have asked us, we would have explained any charges to you. The $230 travel included a regular dispatch, an hour worth of labour we spent on the highway to you place and back, and a per km charge. This is typical for any of our rural customers. I'm sorry I didn't refund you as you requested. I'm sure I will talk to you again about this on another review site.
