We have used Canadian Appliance for years. Our sales person has always been Mike. Our latest purchase was a refrigerator. We ended up with an LG French door model with water and an ice maker.
We have no complaints about the equipment. It seems to work very well.
Our issue was with the delivery and our expectations.
This is the fourth refrigerator we have purchased, in our current home. This time we were surprised the delivery guys were most upset that we did not remove the doors from our existing refrigerator before they arrived. No one told us to.
They were also very upset with how difficult it was to access our kitchen. No one has said that before.
The delivery guy told us they don't install handles. No one has said that before.
We did not like the delivery guys, who were supplied through Canadian Appliance, and I think they did not like us.
We told Mike we were unhappy. He told us we had been told that the doors should be (or possibly might need to be) removed by us, and that they don't install handles. That was simply untrue. We felt our irritation was unheard and unappreciated. We asked for a $75 refund for the inconvenience, annoyance, and a sign we had been heard. We've never received a reply.
So, the end of a good relationship. Prior to this we would have recommended Canadian Appliance and our salesperson, Mike. We could have purchased that fridge anywhere for the same price. The reason we don't go to a box store is for the human touch.
I'm sad to say the next time we need an appliance we will look for a new company and salesperson.
So, it is the end of a nice relationship.
