    Home Renovation

I worked with Craig when ordering our windows, and he was very helpful and offered up some great suggestions, and from there everything went sideways. Delivery was late, and I can live with that, being in construction myself I understand, things change. I made arrangements for them to call when they would be delivering them, and I would meet them, so they could put the windows and doors inside. This was even good, they called I met them, but the driver said he couldn't start unloading till I gave him a cheque for the remainder of the invoice, I thought this was okay so I gave him the cheque for the total remainder of the invoice. To my surprise when they said that was all, my patio door was not there, I asked about it and the driver said not to worry that it was back ordered and I would get it shortly. This was in Early November, after numerous calls and promised dates, I finally received our patio door late January. I am installing the windows and doors myself as I am, a journeyman carpenter, as well a journeyman electrician, but I am installing them when the weather is good. I went to install the two windows in our outside garage, and to my surprise, they are to big, I checked the measurements I had given to Craig and they were right, so I then checked the invoice and the measurements on it was correct as well, I then checked the QC sticker that is put on the windows before they are shipped and they have he right measurements on it as well, but the windows were not made to the measurements, that were given or to the measurements on the sales slip or the QC slip on the window itself. So I made a call, and I was told that normally when they get measurements that there is some play, but I quickly told them that, that may be true, but why were the other 15 windows out of the 17 I ordered, were made to the measurements on the sales slip. This was the end of the discussion, and I was told that they would bring it up with management, and get back to me. Surprise nobody got back to me, I called again, and again was promised that they would get back to me. Still no one did, this time I sent an email back to Craig and to customer care, stating that I wanted them to replace the two windows or pay me for the time and materials, to make the windows work. This time I did receive a call from Amy, the assistant to the manager, and she said that she would check into it and get back to me. I asked when that would be and she said she would be talking to the manager, and get right back to me, but for sure by the end of the week. I hope some one with Durabuilt Windows reds this and will help me with my problem.

    Windows

Medium grade windows. The company keeps saying "one of the best managed companies". If that is so, why do they make so many promises that they continually fail to keep? Too many windows arrived damaged and there was a lot of waste. In the end they did fix things and they have some good people, but they are completely disorganized. Poorly managed for sure.

    Renovation

Sales consultant understood what I wanted, he was astute, gave good suggestions and did follow up. The installation was great, very efficient and professional. There was one or two deficiencies but the service staff were very quick and fixed them to my satisfaction. The prices were very reasonable. I love the look of the windows and I have really noticed a difference in my home with the energy efficient windows. I would recommend Durabuilt anytime.

Replacement of Patio Doors and Windows

Many mistakes were made by manufacturing staff making the patio door. Cannot read simple specs to make the door correctly and poor internal systems that staff do not communicate well in order to deliver a good product. We were told many times that the door was ready and stayed home from work to accommodate this and then the door was once again incorrectly made. After 4 doors being made, it is completely ridiculous the lack of attention to detail in manufacturing and the amount of errors that could happen. The staff are either very poorly trained or just don’t know how to build a customized door. The process started in July and it is now December and we are still without one patio door. This company completely lacks integrity, especially the sales staff who are completely dishonest with the customer. This company is all about the dollar and does not care about customer service or making sure the customer is happy. We even tried to contact the sales supervisor since the sales person, Craig was not returning calls. The supervisor is also dishonest and unresponsive and the president of the company was unresponsive. Worst customer service experience ever!

    Windows installed

Horrible customer care. When we first showed interest with Durabuilt they called us and followed up only a daily basis. But once they had our down payment it was a whole new story. They changed the installment date and said they didn't have our phone number so sent us an email with the new date. I called the day before to confirm they were still coming and that's when I was informed over the phone of the new installment date. Our windows were installed in August and by October we had condensation on the frame and windows. I called and asked if someone could come and see if this is normal and they sent out a technician 3 weeks later. The technician said Durabuilt uses 4 inches of insulation but only 2 inches were used on our windows. We felt this is why we were having so much condensation. The technician said the installer had to review this and someone would contact us shortly. I called 3 days later to follow up. I was told again someone would call me back shortly. A week later no phone call so I called AGAIN and was told that Durabuilt only uses 2-3 inches of insulation. Now I was very confused so I asked to speak to the manager. The manager was in a meeting so I was told he would call back later that day. No phone call. 4 days later I call back and ask to speak to the manager. I left a voice mail asking to please call me to explain who is correct. I've yet to receive a phone call from them. Durabuilt has the WORST customer care! All I would like is for someone to call me but apparently returning a phone call to a costumer who has given you money is just to much to ask. Would I recommend Durabuilt? Absolutely not.

    Window Replacement

We needed 13 windows installed in my 30 yr. old house with 2X6 construction, the hunt was on. After getting 3 quotes, we decided on Durabuilt Windows. It was our good fortune to meet Harmandeep Singh our Sales Rep. and he made our window shopping a very positive experience. Durabuilt Windows on Argyll Rd. have a great showroom allowing us to see the inside and outside profile, making it easy to see what our finished windows would look like. Durabuilt had our triple glaze and Solar Ray windows and provided the best warranty. The installation was perfect, and on time. Durabuilt easily had the best price. If you need windows don't miss giving Durabuilt Windows a look. Thanks

    Replacement of old windows

“I would like to say that I was very impressed with the crew that installed the windows last Saturday. They were on time, efficient, worked diligently despite the adverse weather conditions, did an incredible job on the trim, particularly the kitchen window because of the tile, and cleaned up after the installation was done. I would be happy to recommend them to anyone!”
