    I would like to thank you and Dave and Ken for the outstanding service they provided to us on Monday. They went beyond the normal level of service by making sure our items were well protected and by giving us suggestions to make our move even better the next time. It was a long hard day for them, including hauling heavy items up the stairs but they kept their good humour and professionalism throughout the day. They are a credit to their trade. Elizabeth and I are very happy with your service and we will recommend your company to our friends. Best wishes Les

    Moving

    Action Movers were completely professional, reliable, responsible, careful, and time-efficient. From out first call to the office, to the last box being moved with great care over our new 2nd floor balcony, Action made our move so simple, easy and actually pleasurable. They dealt with a 3rd story walk-up with no complaints and no problems, and found ways to save us time and therefore money. How they fit the monster couch through the door without taking it off the hinges, I will never know. The team they sent actually made the day fun and made great suggestions for our stuff - who knew? The guys were great! I also liked that the office staff was always available for questions, and that we could rent our boxes and return them within 2 weeks for a full refund. I recommend this company without reservation.

    Overcharged for a 1/2 block move!

    I originally booked Action Movers as they were recommended by a friend who were very happy with them. The Good: When I e-mailed and called them to book my move I was impressed with the quick response. As well when I went into the office to pick up boxes the office staff was quite courteous and professional. The Bad: However the issue that I have is with the move itself and the final bill of $806.17. It took a little over 6 hours to load, move the contents of my 550 sq ft apartment 1/2 block up the street and unload. I was originally told that this move would be not more than 3 - 5 hours. It took my original mover just under 2 hours to unload the same amount of content, so really not happy that with Action it took so much longer. I also have an issue that I sent an e-mail to the owner of Action Movers about my dissatisfaction with this move 11 days ago and never got a response. Would I recommend this mover? No. Upfront professional and great to deal with but on moving day I was sorely disappointed. Mark, per your e-mail below I will call you and discuss. Just to be VERY clear you guys knew about the stairs ahead of time. Please see the e-mail from your operations manager to me, dated June 8th where he estimated 3-5 hours plus a stairs surcharge. Update: To all the readers out there please note that I did talk with Mark today and he did give me a refund and he was very pleasant and professional to deal with and did make things right.

We never received an email regarding your concern about your move, and since being 2 weeks to return your boxes, never had a conversation with you to go over your bill. i am very sorry to hear your move took longer than anticipated. Speaking with our movers, and what you did not provide in your POST is that you also had stairs (no elevator) at your location that takes an average 1 bedroom a bit longer to move. The move was quoted 3-5hrs and the move took 6hrs. I can understand your frustration, especially if you emailed our office and it didn't get thru to respond to you. Action Movers offers top quality service, and we strive to be the best at all of our 150+ moves we do a month.     full move within Vancouver

    Mark, now that we have recovered, we just wanted to thank your guys for their efforts. Our “in town “ move proved to be as challenging as one ever gets. Between elevators breaking down, and a particularly late night, we never heard any complaints from the crew. In fact, two of the guys even missed their SkyTrain ride home to get the job done.     office move in vancouver

    Hi Just wanted to say how impressed we were with the service provided by Action Movers and the work ethic of Jeff and Gerald. I had greatly underestimated the amount of stuff we had and they worked quickly to make sure we were out of our old building in the tight deadline that had been set by the strata. In and out of tricky small elevators without complaining, awesome job, thank-you Gemma.

    Action Movers Vancouver Review

    I used this search engine to hire this company so it only seems fair that I write a review. First off, let me start by saying the good: the movers who come to your house are VERY friendly, personable and nice people doing honest work. They try their hardest to accommodate where they can. The not so good: I booked three people with the company but unfortunately (not the fault of the mover) one of the new movers hurt himself. I'm not sure what training they get (likely on the job) but we felt bad for him when he hurt his back. The other two pitched in where they could and advised that the company would replace the third mover but that never happened. In fact, we didn't even receive a call about an option of what to do. So, in the end myself and my husband helped out with the move (more than we planned) otherwise it would have added considerable time to our bill. The price was adjusted but realistically this does little given that you are moving at a much slower pace with two movers. And it took about 30 minutes (clock ticking) to sort out what to do with the hurt mover. Also, something I found very surprising is that the clock still runs when they are writing up the bill, so for us it added an extra 30 minutes to our bill! All other billing was appropriate. Here is my honest opinion, if you want a company that has very friendly movers who show up at your door, this is the company for you. If you prefer professional movers who move at a much faster pace and have more experience under their belt, I recommend going with another company.

    thank you very much for the review. We always appreciate positive and constructive reviews. On your moving day, our training policy is 2 weeks of training within our office, and also small jobs to ensure our employees are trained and ready for large moves. Unfortunatly in your case, our 3rd mover did have 1 weeks training, but advised me the following day that he twisted wrong, and hurt his back. He attempted to keep working, but it was getting worse. Being month end, we generally have several employees on stand by to accomodate situations like this. We at action movers take full responsibility that we did not contact you when we could not get a 3rd mover till 2pm, but our crew that was there on site, advised the office that they had spoken with you have could handle the move as a 2 man crew. In response, please contact our office @ 604-694-7777 and i will personally go over your bill and provide an additional discount for your troubles. thank you - Mark H. owner
