I had a great experience working with Dundas Woodwindows at 2113 Dundas Street West. Nelson Pereira showed us all the options and helped us choose Anderson's Eagle brand aluminum and wood window. There was no pressure, and extremely courteous service. We received our quote in a very timely manner. I would highly recommend working with this independent company as you will get great customer service and in the end the right product for your budget and house.

Replaced all our home windows with Andersen all-weather windows. The product is excellent, and the price was great. But there was SO much confusion with our order. Poor initial measurements meant the problems with installation, one window on the front of our house has a different colour flashing around it, and a casement window arrived as a fixed window that we couldn't open. In most instances, Dundas corrected the problems, and they even compensated us financially for some errors. They seem honest but perhaps not a "sure thing" if you want it right the first time.

These guys did an excellent job on a custom wood entry door system for a 120 year-old house in downtown Toronto. The installers (Albino and assistant) were really great, and took care through a difficult removal + install without ever seeming rushed. Love the door. Great craftsmanship. Won't hesitate to use them again.

We had a window replaced in our house. The window itself is very beautiful (Andersen), but the service was sup-par, in many respects. The installer (a family member) was really uninterested and did a terrible job installing the window. A company rep came to inspect it (upon our request) and went back and forth between being defensive and aggressive. Never again. A large component of the total cost is for installation -- I would expect that to be done near-flawlessly.

In March 2010 I posted a review of Dundas Woodwindows, explaining how I was disappointed in a job that they did. What attracted me to their business was not only the product they offer (it can be hard to find custom-made authentic-to-the-period wood windows) but their personalized service. We were immediately impressed by Nelson when he visited to quote us on our project. They installed a new wooden bay window on the main floor of our 1910 house, to complement the wood windows previously built by them but installed prior to our ownership. They also replaced all of our second and third floor windows with quality vinyl windows. At the time of installation, we were disappointed with some aspects of the workmanship and the attitude of one of the workers. Also, what was supposed to be a one or two day project was drawn out into more days and we became frustrated. I wrote the review on here expressing my frustration with the situation and continued to follow up with Nelson. Several months later, all of the issues have been resolved. After the work was done, Nelson came to inspect it and acknowledged that there were aspects to the job that needed improving. He sent out a different person who did a good job and was pleasant to work with. I did not have to 'fight' Nelson at all to get him to recognize what I felt were the initial shortcomings of the job, he was very committed to making the wrongs right. Ultimately, what initially drew us to Dundas was what left the best impression at the end - even though there were aspects of the job that needed to be revisited, Nelson went out of his way to make sure it was done right. Now we are very satisfied with the work that was done. I can't give Dundas a full 5/5 rating because our experience wasn't perfect, but in the end I was impressed overall with their commitment to the project and their willingness to acknowledge when one of their employees did a less than perfect job. And the windows themselves are very beautiful!

Dundas Wood Windows & Specialties Inc recently replaced 12 windows and one door at our home in Bloorwest Village . The existing windows were the original windows dating back to the 1920's. Nelson arrived surveyed the existing conditions. He was very attentive to our needs and expectations. Maintaining the existing character both in the interior and exterior was very important to us. Nelson was very knowledgeable regarding all the materials and methods required to achieve our aesthetic requirements. We chose the Woodright insert window by Andersen Window and Doors. His crew led by Albino did a fantastic job. In particular we were very impressed with Albino's attention to the smallest of details. The aluminum capping, wood trims, and casework were executed with great skill. We are very happy with the end result. My wife and I are both Architects and we very much appreciate the great work and effort from the whole team. We will definitely recomend Dundas Wood Windows and Specialties to our clients and to anyone looking for a top notch window and door installer. Well Done!

From the sales to installation and color matching the whole job was done to perfection. We were looking for something which would replace our existing door which leaked air and made room cold in the winter and with their associate who did a great job of matching the wood color to our existing room it looks great.

Love the windows, disappointed with the service. We had two double hung windows replaced. A screen was damaged during the installation. A replacement screen was ordered. When a service tech. brought the replacement screen it was the wrong size. Another replacement screen was ordered and delivered to our doorstep, unnanounced. When I called and left a message asking for someone to come and install the screen, I didn't get a return call. When I called again and spoke to their "service manager" he claimed no knowledge of the previous message and said he would have to talk to his boss about installing the screen they had initially damaged. Eventually, perhaps unwillingly, they came and installed the screen. The product is great, the service somewhat loosey goosey.
