    install programmable outdoor lighting timer

    Enrico was the electrician who performed the work for the second time in my home. I was very pleased with the first time I used Captain Electric but tried another company to install a timer for my outdoor light- (I thought I was getting a good deal). This proved to be a disastrous mistake as the timer did not work and the electrician did not return for either of the 2 times we scheduled with no follow up phone call. Lesson learned. Enrico is an honourable, qualified and skilled electrician who offers excellent advice and always shows up on time and provides quality service! The staff is also very attentive and helpful when I call to arrange a service call. I am very pleased with this company.

    Lost power to several outlets

    This is the second time I have called Captain Electric out in the last 4-5 years. Both times it was because of losing power to several outlets, and I had no idea what the problem was. On both occasions Dave came out, I found him to be very thorough in his investigation, and he found the problem both times. With the up-front pricing there were no surprises afterwards. I would definitely call Captain Electric again and recommend them to others. Great service overall.

    Breaker Trip

    Excellent service! Dave was very friendly and explained everything he was doing as we went through the house to check the issue. I had other concerns from previous electrical work and Dave confirmed my issues and took the time to explain them to me as well. I will definitely use Captain Electric going forward for any of our household needs!

    Smoke Alarms

    Excellent service! This is my third service call - great experience, top notch service tech's. Highly recommended!! Fast and reliable. Will definitely use Captain Electric in the near future! Smoke alarms and various other problems solved!

    Dryer Outlet Melted

    We have used Captain Electric twice now and we have been very happy with the work done on both occasions. Dave explained everything in layman’s terms and we won't hesitate to call Captain Electric again when the need arises.

    Interconnected Smoke Alarms/ Restored power to circuit

    I am a satisfied customer. Excellent service and superior knowledge. Dave from Captain Electric, was extremely professional and even had boot covers for his shoes to make sure no mess was made in the home. I highly recommend Captain Electric!

    New Receptacles/Outlets

    Captain Electric arrived on time and with telephone notice. They explained the job in detail with an up-front cost. They worked quickly and efficiently and within the time frame quoted. They cleaned up neatly on completion of job. Excellent Work.

    Electrical Panel Upgrade + Smoke Alarms

    Captain Electric has installed a new 200 amp circuit breaker panel and some new smoke/carbon monoxide alarms in our home. The panel upgrades a 34 year old fuse panel. My initial call was pleasantly responded to by a real person. She quickly set up a technician to come out and see me and followed up on the day to let me know he was on his way..great service. Enrico was the electrician that came and quickly had me fixed up with new smoke alarms. He inspected my electrical panel and outline exactly what it would cost to replace it. He spent time to explain the companies licensing, insuring and regulatory policies they follow. I was very impressed with Enrico and Brian on the day of my panel changeover. Pickering hydro had been scheduled for the turn off/on and the necessary permits had all been looked after by Captain Electric. Enrico literally rolled out a red carpet and put on booties to keep our home clean. Enrico worked tirelessly at the panel all day without a break. He certainly knew what he was doing to rip out the old panel and meticulously reintegrate everything into the new system. He also installed a surge protector for the whole house. Enrico and Brian went through the house and labelled every breaker on the panel so I know exactly what each one controls. I am completely satisfied with the work done and recommend Captain Electric for any future electrical needs. Final price was exactly what Enrico quoted.

    Thank you Gerry, we appreciate your review, and the points that you made. There are things that should be upgraded in older homes. Fuse panels are one of these things - they are outdated, and usually have no room for adding new circuits. Hence we find that circuits are often "doubled up" on one fuse, and the fuse size that is installed is incorrect. Replacing older Fuse Panels with a new Circuit Breaker Panel, provides more space for future wiring, and without the problem of "doubled-up" circuits. Smoke Alarms are another important area. Every year there is sad news of people who lost their lives because they did not have working smoke alarms in their home. If they are older than 10 years - they MUST be replaced. Surge Protection is another important safety feature that we strongly believe in. Protecting electronic components that are in almost every appliance made today, and of course your TV and Computer by installing Surge Protection at the Main Panel and at each point of use is a wise choice.     Under cabinet lights are not working properly

    The work completed was done in an efficient, professional manner. Enrico and his helper were very courteous. I should have gone ahead with the work with Captain Electric a year ago, if I would have known it would have been so easy and seamless!

    Pot light installation

    Captain Electric installed potlights in several locations throughout our house. All employees were courteous, professional and highly competent. Best of all, we are very pleased with the quality and neatness of their work. Would definitely recommend Captain Electric and will use this company for any future electrical work.

There should be no bits of garbage whatsoever left behind. Installations such as recessed lighting (pot lights) should be carefully planned to avoid unnecessary damage to walls and ceilings for access holes for wiring.
