My wife and I purchased a 20 year old home in 2014 and we knew windows would require replacement. I contacted 6 window companies for quotes and chose Ambia because I was thoroughly impressed by Micheal, our sales consultant. He was aware that I was only seeking quotes but still took the time to answer each and every email I sent (and there were many!) and the information and quotes provided were detailed and organized. When I decided to choose Ambia, I met with Micheal in person to see the windows and their functionality and found Micheal to be professional and easy to deal with. After meeting with Micheal and reading all the reviews on HomeStars, I was confident that this decision was a 'No Brainer'. We replaced our first 5 windows in 2014 and Omar and Alex are window replacing machines! They definitely have their operation down to a science - from the moment they said good morning , they were laying down floor mats and moving furniture until the until the windows were installed and they did their final cleanup. I had to beg them to stop and accept a coffee and take a break! - I can't say enough good things about Omar and Alex! In 2015 we replaced another 5 windows and this time Tony stopped in to see how everything was going. Tony was very friendly and took time to discuss options for my sliding door and the last window that needed replacing. Before he left Tony asked if I would be willing to review them on HomeStars and although it is not something I usually do, I told him for Ambia it would be my pleasure.

I’ve used Homestars reviews to help me in my decision making twice with positive results. Although I give word of mouth referrals and reviews I don’t typically write any. My first experience with Homestars was trying to locate a reputable window installer almost 2 years ago. I met with Michael from Ambia Windows and Doors along with four other companies. Even though I wasn’t sure about my timeframe as to when I would move ahead Michael promptly came by and sat down at the kitchen table and went through everything with me and educated me on the right questions to ask. He measured my windows and came up with a proper quote that day; other companies were wanting me to send them measurements by email because they didn’t want to drive out to Milton Ontario just to quote. Michael was also very flexible and willing to work with our budget and phases we were thinking of doing at the time. During the install things ran very smoothly, it was a lot messier than we thought but where Omar and Alex lacked in cleanliness around the job site they more than made up with their efficiency and quality workmanship. I don’t usually like to write reviews right after the work because time usually shows how good a company is and Ambia Windows and Doors came through. When we had a minor adjustment issue with a lock on one of the windows I wasn’t expecting much calling the installer a year later. I called Michael and right away his uncle Tony was in touch with the manufacturer and booked an appointment and within days a technician was here to fix the lock. After-sales service is so important and Tony and Michael seem to know this and really are on top of customer service. When our patio door and upstairs balcony door needs replacing I do know who to call. Thank you to the team at Ambia Windows and Doors.

We hired Ambia a few months ago to replace some of our home's very old windows and install a new front door. From start to finish, the people at Ambia delivered first-class service. When Michael came to visit us to first discuss our project, he was very thorough about giving us information on the techniques and products that would be involved. He took our questions and concerns very seriously, and there was no hint of pushy salesman tactics that I experienced from some competitors. The biggest problem in the whole experience was that the installation day was delayed a few times, sometimes with short notice. Part of this was due to weather though, and it wasn't really a problem for me. The installers did an excellent job. Respectful, considerate, and very hard-working. A job like this creates a lot of mess regardless, but they made a real effort to keep things as clean as possible. The service was above and beyond expectations, and without asking they even fixed some pre-existing problems with my window frames, which were not being replaced. By late afternoon I was starting to wonder if they'd be able to finish the job in one day, but they kept right on working until about 9pm (a full 12-hour day). The windows and door themselves are fantastic: they look wonderful, they feel sturdy and secure, and will save me quite a bit of money come winter. I cannot imagine being any happier with the overall experience. I would definitely recommend Ambia to anyone.

We had all our windows and patio sliding door replaced by Ambia and its very professional and courteous staff. The product I ordered arrived ahead of the schedule. The work was completed on schedule and our windows are even better than we ever expected. I am very satisfied with the product and the installation and would recommend Ambia to my friends if needed.

My wife and I purchased our new home last fall. The house is 33 years old and long over due for new windows and doors. We met with a few companies before we decided to give our business to Ambia. Michael presented the product to us very well. He was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions and was very patient with us as we considered different window colour and style options for our home. Alex and Omar came to our house a few weeks later to take measurements. When the windows were ready, Tony contacted us to coordinate the install dates and provided information on what to expect during the installation process. Alex and Omar were very friendly and worked efficiently and were very organized and clean. We needed new windows for our newly purchased old mid-town Toronto house. We didn't want to use the company that had done work on our previous home, so we went to Home Stars to seek out quotes. Luckily for us, we found Ambia Windows and Doors! From the minute we called them for a quote right through to the final installation, everything about the experience was great. Michael, our sales consultant, was incredibly helpful and extremely patient over several visits as we looked at ideas for the windows and considered the pros and cons of retro-fit vs. new, different materials and design ideas. He was always on time, followed up with us by email every time he had promised to send us stuff,and his advice was always in our best interests -- no attempt to upsell us to a more expensive solution. In fact, he did the opposite, suggesting ways we could keep the costs down and still achieve the look and quality that we were trying to achieve. The installation experience was just as great - Omar and Alex were professional in every aspect, from the amazing quality of their work (including trim and wood work) to their reliability -- they were on time for every appointment and met all the promised timelines for installation. They worked late and, when the inevitable old-house problems came up, they took the time to come up with solutions, even if it meant they had to stay longer to get it right. The quality of the windows and sliding door have been excellent -- everything works as advertised, they look great and it was great to go through the cold winter with proper windows to keep out drafts. We were so happy with Ambia we had them come back and do the window in one of the bedrooms on the side of the house. This year, we won't hesitate to use them again for replacing our front door (if we can ever agree on a design!). I'm really glad we went to Home Stars to look up alternatives as it was an extremely positive experience from start to finish!

We are thrilled with the new door! It is working well and looks great! I have to say I was thoroughly impressed with your installers, Omar and Alex, very professional, courteous and went about the installation effortlessly, from my perspective. They arrived on time as scheduled and got right to work. They were very mindful of our home and made every effort to get the job done with minimal disturbance to us. Down to the finishing touches and clean up all went very well. We are surprised at how much of a difference having the new sliding doors made to the overall look of our kitchen and the added bonus of having the blinds inside means our pets can't get tangled up in them or chew them! It has been a pleasure dealing with you all, from my first contact with Tony to saying thank you to the installers, thank you for making the process go smoothly to the finished product!

Two years ago I had three old windows replaced in my basement by Ambia. I was so impressed with their service and work that I had them come back and replace two more windows. The customer service, the quality of the product, and the work completed, was again of excellent quality. I highly recommend this company.

A couple of years ago we had AMBIA replace all the windows in the front of our home EXCELLENT JOB!!! Now we were ready to do the back of our home, we had no doubt whatsoever of who we would call AMBIA of course, Tony is always available, Nick and Omar are the best installers, they are so dependable, they know what they are doing, they don't cut corners and they are very detail oriented, We are very picky about our home however when it comes to these guys we are so confident in leaving them in charge! Our entire home now looks brand new! Great Job AMBIA we will definitely be referring you to everyone that needs windows.

We had our patio door replaced by Ambia Windows recently. It only took 4 weeks from the initial quote to the installation whereas other companies’ quotes would have taken a minimum of anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. The initial quote (via email) was detailed and accompanied by diagrams. We found this graphically integrated approach very user friendly. The installers arrived as scheduled and the job was completed efficiently and the installers made extra efforts in not stepping on our recently renovated kitchen floor.We were especially impressed by the caulking around the entire patio door and the clean-up afterwards. Aside from the minor language challenges with the installers, the installation was completed meticulously. Mike, our project consultant, also registered the warranty for us. We will definitely use Ambia again should we need windows / patio doors replacement in the future.
