    Thermostat Replacement, Furnace/AC Inspection

    Richard took our call right away. He listened to our concerns and made arrangements to be at our home within the hour. Upon entry, covid considerations were in place and masks were worn for the the duration of the service call. First looking at both furnace & ac units, the diagnosis was made and a new thermostat was installed in no time. We will be calling CORETEMP for all of our heating and air conditioning needs in the future! Thank You Richard!

    A company you can trust

    I've been using CoreTemp for over 10 years now, I think. Owner Richard and his trusty partner Erik have taken good care of my older furnace. A few years ago, they installed a Rinnai tankless water heater for me. They also just replaced my old furnace with a new high-efficiency model, as well as installing a new humidifier and air conditioner. (It was my request that they do all that work at the same time, since it would be more efficient. Richard does *not* push to up-sell people.) They work quickly, carefully, and they clean up after themselves beautifully. And, it being COVID-19 times, they used their masks and kept distance at all times. Richard also sterilized the bathroom, the staircase banister, and all door handles they touched on his way out - excellent attention to detail. Over the years, and as others have said, Richard has always been there when you need him. In my case, over the years, he has helped with heating failures after hours by FaceTime, he has followed up on the furnace situation when he was on holiday, and he has even arranged for substitute service people when he was out of the country. Richard is honest, he clearly cares about and takes pride in what he does, he makes sure you are educated about your choices, and he does not waste your money. You can't ask for more in a tradesperson. I recommend CoreTemp without reservation.

    Customer Service and Workmanship are second to none

    Thankfully we found Coretemp (Richard) years ago when our air conditioner went on the fritz. We were so impressed with his customer service, we kept his business card. It was a minor repair but Richard had our A/C up and running again in no time. When our 20+ year old furnace decided to quit on us we knew just who to call. Richard came over straight away and considering the pandemic, safely had a look at our equipment and explained all of our options for putting in a new furnace and air conditioner. We love the fact that he is so dead honest and felt zero sales pressure. We also discussed replacing our old hot water tank with a tankless system at the same time. We called Richard back the next morning and ordered our new furnace and A/C as well as a new tankless water heater. Everything was installed quickly (Richard shuffled his schedule to make sure we had heat again as quickly as possible) and most important to us, properly, considering we've had some bad experiences with shoddy workmanship in the past. Richard and his partner Erik are true professionals in every sense of the word. They went above and beyond to make sure we were 100% satisfied with every aspect of the installation. I would highly recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat.

    AC repair

    I’ve had Richard, Erik on speed dial since 2013 and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. This is my second review on them (my first was on their installation and yearly service of my furnace) and now on AC installation and follow up because they are always amazing to deal with. In the summer of 2020 our AC died so I called Richard right away. He got a new one installed in no time (even with all the COVID craziness and backlog)- but the unit ended up malfunctioning and Richard was available several times by FaceTime to help me to troubleshoot. Then Richard went to bat for me with the manufacturer. He skipped all the “trials to fix” which he knew would get us nowhere, and got me a new unit installed instead. Again Richard went above and beyond and each time I deal with Richard, Eric or Janice it’s been nothing but heartwarming. Thank you guys for your amazing customer service, availability, promptness and care- always.

    Furnace Shutting off

    I wanted to talk about my amazing experience with Core temp Heating and Air. Richard treats his customers like family and helped me to address a furnace situation. My family noticed the temperature dropping in the house and I immediately contacted Richard and Coretemp and he came to the rescue at an amazing price and it was fixed within hours.     Repeat customer, no regrets!

    I was very pleased 10 years ago when Core Temp installed the furnace and AC at my old house; so naturally Core Temp was my first choice when I needed help again. Just like then, Richard's advice was reliable, I got a fair quote from him, and the whole experience was spotless. I am especially appreciative about Core Temp's safety protocols in the middle of the pandemic: They were very meticulous about masks and safe distancing, and there was no issue rescheduling when my son had a cold. I am very happy to recommend CoreTemp and -should I need HVAC advice again - they will be my first choice again

    Really great, honest service.

    We had these amazing guys out to service our older furnace. It was definitely a great call. Very honest and forthright. We didn’t feel like they were trying to up sell anything. We will certainly call them again and when it’s time buy from them too.

    Furnace replacement

    Our old furnace stopped working after 18+ years. Called Coretemp. Despite a shortage of new furnaces, due to Covid, Richard sourced a new one for us. Richard and Erik came on time, installed a new furnace professionally, and following Covid safety protocols. In the past 18 years we have used Coretemp to install another furnace, air conditioner and humidifier. Always friendly, professional and courteous.

    HVAC Maintenance

    I originally called Coretemp to get an estimate on a new furnace as I had been told by Dr. HVAC (do not use) that my ten year old furnace was about to die. After learning the age and type of furnace we had, Richard from Coretemp told me it was unlikely I needed one. To confirm, he came out to assess the furnace for himself. He was extremely thorough and spent over an hour walking me through the entire assessment process, unlike Dr. HVAC, who completed their assessment in les than 30 minutes without explaining anything. In the end, he ended up saving me from buying a furnace I didn’t need and won’t likely need for another several years. I would absolutely recommend Richard to anyone. He was knowledgeable, thorough and most importantly, honest. I will be calling Coretemp for any heating and cooling issues from here on out.

    Annual maintenance

    CORETEMP installed my furnace about 7 years ago. I was impressed with the quality of service and knowledge of both Richard and Erik. I’m not a big fan of extended warranties. Richard explained that if I chose to maintain an annual service schedule, he would extend the labour portion of the furnace warranty to match the parts warranty for 10 years. The annual service seemed like a good idea anyway, so I accepted. So, here we are 7 years later. I scheduled my service in August expecting it to be like every other. Quality inspection, nice chat and see you next year. But this time Richard advised that the furnace would not fire and he expected the gas valve had failed. He and Erik returned wIth a replacement and had me up and running again. No questions. No problem. See you next year. It’s been a pleasure dealing with these guys and I’m happy we chose CORETEMP.
