...nor do we notice any real difference in wait times for hot water. What we did notice was the difference in our hydro bill after the old dinosaur electric tank was removed and our new Rinnai gas water heater installed. We also noticed the space in our basement. Richard was amazing at figuring out the placement of our on demand heater (no mean feat in a house built in 1919!). When originally contacted, Richard explained everything very well and came to do a site inspection before the work was commenced. Work was carried out quickly, professionally and there was no mess left at all for me to clean up. Water heater was installed on my birthday in 2009 and is the best present I've ever had! Thank you core-temp!

About 3 1/2 years ago I purchased a new furnace from Richard. He was recommended through my real estate agent. It was a pleasure working with Richard. He was very helpfull, very knowledgeable. He made some suggestions as to what I needed, then suggested that I get some other quotes as well. I felt comforatable with Richard, so I purchase my furnace from him. Before I knew it 3 1/2 years had passed, then I had a problem with my furnace. I called Richard on a Saturday evening and left a message describing the problem. He called me back within five minutes. He said he knew exactly what was wrong and suggested I fix it myself, that way he wouldn't have to come out and charge me for a service call for a simple fix. I did solve the problem. Richard even called me the next day to make sure everything worked out. Now that's good service. I would recommend Coretemp to anyone. Thanks Richard.

After having (a false) CO alarm I called Richard who came the same day. We ruled out a CO leak but he found the Direct Energy HIP technician had damaged my furnace to the point it had to be red-tagged. Since it was 27 years old I decided to have a new furnace and AC installed instead. Even though the weather was warm, since it was red-tagged, he came the next day with 2 technicians and installed a new 95% furnace, high SEER A/C, humidifier, condesate pump and thermostat. They started at 730 am and were done by 3 pm. It works great. Quality and progessionalism of the install were first rate. I would not hesitate to recommend Coretemp for HVAC work. They are also arranging for nearly $2500 in rebates which makes a new furnace a lot more affordable than I thought.

Richard is great - our Rinnai tankless was leaking water and he was able to give us an idea of what the problem was over the phone, and then came to our house to confirm. B/c the unit was installed by another company incorrectly (causing the problem), Richard personally called the company to inform them of what they had done incorrectly and asked them to come and fix it for us FREE OF CHARGE! They are coming out today and hopefully, things will go well (fingers crossed). In any case, I know that I can call Richard if things don't work out. He incidentally also noticed that our fence hinge was not screwed in properly and offered to repair that for me too. He's great...totally honest and helpful beyond what you could expect!

Our Rinnai Tankless Water Heater was installed by another heating company and we began to experience intermittent losses of hot water...mid shower...which became a regular occurrence. When contacted, that company flatly refused to come out and even look at the water heater. I called Rinnai USA, based in Georgia, and their service rep recommended CORETEMP. Richard answered the phone personally and within 24 hours of contacting him, CORETEMP'S technician, Jason, was here. He found that the unit had been installed incorrectly allowing water and condensation to collect and corrode the inside. The damage was significant enough that the water heater had to be replaced. Richard and his staff, Jason and Chris, very competently did this, keeping us informed of every step. After going through this, we were hesitant about our choice of a tankless water heater, however Richard reassured us that when installed correctly, the tankless water heater is a dependable unit....and we have had no problems since the replacement was installed. We appreciated Richard's quick response and very thorough follow-through and would highly recommend CORETEMP!!!!

I sent an email to 3 Heating companies on Homestars on a Friday morning. Within 20 minutes, Richard left a voice mail and email follow up. We spoke that afternoon and he provided me with a quote and very reasonable advice. Not only was the quote much lower than his competitors, he had the best service by far. My high efficiency furnace was installed the following Monday morning. Richard left the place clean, showed me all his work and even explained to me the problems with my old furnace. I've already told several friends to call me if they ever need a furnace or a/c contractor. I have the best company for them!

as part of a basement reno, i wanted to get rid of the huge water heater. Richard offered good advice and did a great job installing an on demand tankless water system. it's working great and they did superb job on the install. the work was done very neatly and his workers were great. if you are looking into this type of product, Richard is a great resource for information and his guys did a fast install right on budget.

When my mom’s furnace gave out over the weekend CoreTemp was the only one that responded to request for service. Richard (the owner) understood right away what the problem was just from the description of the symptoms. He is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain the issue and describe the options available.
