Correcting problems caused by poor Rinnai installation by another heating company

We had a Rinnai Tankless Water heater installed by another heating company that was an absolute disgraceful installation. Despite numerous calls to that company to fix it, they did not come out to do it. I then decided to call Rinnai USA to get the name of a reputable company to correct the problem. The company they recommended was CORETEMP Heating and Air. I called Richard explained the problem and asked if he could come out and inspect the job. Without hesitation he said he would come over and check it. I also decided to call TSSA re: the gas installation and had an inspector come out. I arranged for Richard and the inspector to come out at the same time. While the gas inspector was checking the installation as per code, Richard and Chris were able to correct the plumbing mess caused by the other company. They were very professional, friendly and did a fast and efficient job. Meanwhile the inspector came up with a number of deficiencies that had been incorrectly done by the previous company. All the time Richard kept assuring me not to worry he would fix the problems for me. I wish I had found CORETEMP prior to my original install and I could have eliminated all these problems. I highly recommend CORETEMP (Richard & Chris) to install any future heating, air and tankless water heating needs. They truly believe in customer service. They also left the place spotless. George

    Replace Furnace

I consider myself to be a thorough and educated consumer so when my furnace stopped in the dead of winter of 2007 I turned to a number of professionals and firms to help advise me on how to best solve my furnace problem - it is through that process that I met Richard at CoreTemp Heating and Air. I live in a three story home that is roughly 3,300 sq/ft. My main concerns at the time of purchase were timing of installation, relative cost and the various furnaces / products ability to effectively evenly heat the home. I am pleased to say that years later I am very happy with the furnace advice and related installation and maintenance services I have received from Richard at CoreTemp. Richard has proven to have a great competency wrt heating and cooling features of a home and is a pleasure to deal with as he is fair, honest and highly responsive.

    Service call

Just writing a little blurb about our experience with Richard this morning. Our heating had been out since the night before. Richard arrived promptly a little before our appointment time. Turned out I didn't know a boiler from a furnace. He said he worked on furnaces, but he had a look and found the simple fix for our problem with our boiler. Made a reccomendation for a boiler guy. He also took some time to inspect a tankless water heater install done by Direct Energy and pointed out where they could have done things much better. I'd have no trouble reccomending him to friends and family... Thanks!

New furnace & Tankless water tank

My furance was not working probaberly the temperature in the house was only 58 degrees, Richard was out that night accessed the problem (needed a new furnace), and was installing it the next day, he would call me downstairs and show me exactly what he was doing and why, his helpers are very freindly and knowledgeable as well. There is still a problem with the termastat because the wire needs to be replaced and he is coming back to fix it. Always on top of things and always asks if everything is ok. When I had my tankless water heater installed 1 year ago Richards brother Chris I believe installed this unit, I just love it you never run out of hot water and Chris was also very friendly, knowledgeable and wanted to make sure we were aware of everything they were doing. They cleaned up after themselves as well. I would highly recommend this company to anyone.

    Furnace Replacement

I came across CORETEMP while searching online for a company who could service my furnace. On a whim I gave them a call and the owner himself answered to diagnose the problem based on my description. They were able to come by the day after. I was given a diagnosis and possible solutions. There was never any pressure to proceed with any work and I was even directed to alternate companies in case I wanted a second opinon. I decided to go with CORETEMP and was extremely satisfied. They came the same day to install a new furnace (because mine was leaking carbon monoxide into the house!!!) and had the work done in no time flat!!! Clean installation and friendly service. I would definitly recommend to everyone.

HVAC - After Hours Emergency Service

I am writing this review to convey my satisfaction and sincere thanks to Richard from CoreTemp Heating and Air. Late in the evening, on a recent Saturday evening during an extreme cold spell, my new furnace system would not ignite. I was unable to contact the gentleman who installed my system. After several frantic phone calls to local HVAC dealers, I was referred to Richard from CoreTemp. Richard patiently walked me through each and every step of the troubleshooting process until the problem was remedied. Not only did Richard unselfishly give his time and expertise in ensuring that my 4 year old and 2 year old daughters slept warm that night, but he also followed up the next day on his own accord to ensure that the system was still operating as required. None of Richard's time was for profit. In today's day and age, these acts of dedication and committment are seldom seen. I salute you Richard. Yours truly, Dave B.

    Heater Installation

We were looking to replace our heating system in the house since our system at the time was very outdated and inefficient. We called CoreTemp heating and they were able to come in and install the system in less time than we previously expected. They did an excellent job, and I would definitely recommend them to our friends!

    Furnace Repair

Just wanted to post a note on here regarding the service I just received from Coretemp and Richard Payer. Our furnace is 18 years old and this morning when we woke up we noticed how cold the house was. I turned up the thermostat and left for a few hours. I got back home early afternoon and realized our furnace had not gone back on and had been off for probably the entire night. As it was New Years Eve (around 2:00pm at this time) and tomorrow being a Stat Holiday, I thought my chances of getting anyone out to have a look at it were slim and none. We remembered having Richard out to look at our air conditioner a few years back and still had his number. I gave him a call and he was knocking at my door 25 minutes later. He got my furnace up and running again. Thanks again Richard.
