I have nothing but positives to say about Accustar and its representative, Nev. After describing what we suspected was a mould problem in our house upstairs thanks to squirrels who had tunneled through the roof Nev came over promptly and conducted 3 air quality samplings which, indeed, confirmed our suspicions. He also referred us to a microbiologist who answered all of our questions about the lab report . We are now in the procedss of having the repairs performed but in the meantime Nev has provided us with a powerful air scrubber as a temporary measure. Nev is very informative, a good listener, polite and charges rates that are more than competitive. If he were a movie I'd been saying "2 thumbs way up"!

I called Nev when I suspected the smell of mold in one of my bathrooms. Before actually coming to my house, he tried to solve my problem over the phone to help avoid any unnecessary costs incurred by me. I eventually asked him to come and conduct his inspection as I did not want to take any chances. He was extremely professional and provided all of the information I needed. He spent as much time as I needed to make sure that I was comfortable with his service. He was also extremely helpful the days and weeks post the inspection by answering any questions I had. I would recommend him to anyone who is concerned about mold in their house and needs a professional to provide them with proper guidance.

Very professional service, well equipped to do the job and explained and performed an excellent job in testing the air quality for mold and moisture in the unit. A job well done.

When we found out we had mold in our basement, we were in total shock. We called several companies that rated well on HomeStars and found out Accu-Star didn't remove mold, but did air testing to determine if there were elevated mold levels in the area. Since we definitely knew there was mold in the basement (you could smell/see it), we went ahead with the mold removal but later called Accu-Star to verify that the mold was in fact gone. In total, I called Nev at Accu-Star about 3-4 times for general information, and he was always really helpful, informative and accommodating -- even when we didn't think we would be using their services (prior to the mold removal). He managed to work around our schedules and went out of his way and worked after hours to make sure that we got the report as soon as it was available. I hope not to have this problem again, but if we do, we would definitely use Accu-Star again. Highly recommended.

Nev was a pleasure to deal with. He showed up on time and inspected our bedroom area where we had some ice dam problems. After giving us some good suggestions for solutions, he went around the rest of the house and tested for insulation , leaks, moisture problems. Gave many suggestions to help us and spent extra time with us until we had covered everything. He even went outside and was able to raise his camera up to the eaves troughs and point out some areas that needed attention. Nev recommended a few people to us and we did call the insulation company . They were experts in their field and have already completed their job, assuring us that we will no longer have ice dams. Time will tell, but we have full confidence in Nev and the people he recommends. We were very pleased with the service that Accu-Star provided for us, and Nev is very knowledgeable and caring. I am sure in the long run he saved us money by zeroing in on the problem. Thank you, Nev!

My wife and I could smell mold coming from our dormant fireplace and concerned since our 1 year old son's play area was in that room. We called Accu-Star to help us investigate the issue. They provided great free advice to tape off the fireplace with a garbage bag and made the earliest appointment to come to our home even on a Sunday. Once Accu-Star was in our home using their state of the art technology they quickly pin pointed to mold area in the Chimney. They also used camera's to find the source of the moisture in the chimney discovering the chimney cap had eroded cocking leaving holes for water to come in. This was very helpful not wasting time or money to find the problem area's. Also, I was able to act quickly on Accu-Star's advice to get the chimney cleaned communicating my mold issues with a chimney service. Accu-Star's service was friendly, educational and quick to help my family's home needs. I truly recommend their service and it was refreshing to work with professionals.

We like Accu-Star because: - the lines of communication between us and the company was really good (prompt response) - the process was well-explained to us - Nevo was able to do other forms of analysis beyond the air quality test which provided us more information about the state of our house - we learned about Homestars because of Accu-Star

Contacted Accu-Star to provide an assessment on water leakage in a room in the basement. Nev gave me an appointment on short notice, came by to do the assessment and presented a comprehensive report identifying the problem area, and a solution to the problem. I found Nev highly reliable, courteous, professional, and extremely knowledgeable! Nev provided additional maintenance advice of other unrelated areas in our home that I needed to pay attention to. Would highly recommend Accu-Star/Nev!

With twins on the way, I was worried about the possibility of mould in our finished basement since we had a small flood after a severe rainstorm. We wanted to be sure there were no unseen problems. Our tests came back better than average, but I it was well worth it. The peace of mind is priceless.
