I found Lux Cleaning after struggling to find an independent cleaner in my area (Upper Village, Cedarvale, Forest Hill, Allenby) who was reliable, on time, trustworthy AND could actually clean! After multiple bad experiences with individuals who were not bonded or insured (important for breakage and theft) or who were inappropriately trained I had given up. I was resigned to cleaning the home myself until time constraints and an injury prevented me from maintaining it in the way that I wanted. Frustrated and struggling, I reached out to Lux Cleaning. From the initial call with Allan I discovered that Lux Cleaning is different. They don't offer the one-size fits all approach to home cleaning and they don't quote solely based on neighborhood or size of home. Allan takes the time to visit the property and discuss your individual preferences and priorities. A Custom Cleaning Plan is then prepared, presented and agreed upon prior to any cleaners entering the home. The process is efficient and establishes parameters for both sides so expectations are met and special requests can be made that fit your needs.
The cleaning ladies undergo training so that each clean is consistent. Each team comes with a team leader who will work with you for any last minute requests or changes that might be needed based on things that may arise not on the schedule. The ladies are hard working, focussed (not on their phones) and professional. They do their best to ensure each visit is done to your liking before they leave.
I like that Allan is willing to work with you after the first few initial cleanings to amend the Cleaning Plan as needed. As I adjust and get accustomed to having someone in my home I have found that there are some things I like and don't like about having my home cleaned professionally and Allan has been very patient and accommodating.
My only suggestion is that it would be nice to have the same crew come to your home every visit allowing for peace of mind knowing who is in your home. However, I acknowledge what a challenge this must be for any cleaning company. The difference with Lux Cleaning is that with their staff training and a solid Cleaning Plan in place I am assured to get a consistent clean.
Lux Cleaning may be more expensive than other services but for the peace of mind that my home is being properly cleaned and to my specifications; and knowing exactly what to expect each time based on the Plan, I can honestly say that it is worth the money! I wasted so much money over the years trying other subpar cleaners - don't be like me and go straight to the best!
