After snaking, descaling etc.there was still too little water coming into the bowl and it wasn`t totally emptying, but we had done everything and if you dumped a bucket of water in it flushed fairly well. So, I was pretty sure we were going to have to put in a new toilet (the one we have is seriously poor quality). QUinn came over and was pleasant and listened to my long winded explanation. HE went through the same routine and agreed that a new toilet was likely in order; but he would try augering the drain before we finalized the toilet purchase. Voila! He managed to get out what is likely a latex medical glove. Although it wasn`t enough to block the drain it was enough to make toilet act weird. Our bathroom is TINY and there is only room for 1 - were he not the honest fellow he is he could have said no success with the auger and dinged me for a toilet purchase and installation (which I would have happily done). But he was as thrilled as I that this was the solution. I am a small woman who uses a wheelchair and that can attract service people who will try to shaft me. I had been prepared for a rather large bill. But, he was only going to charge me for the service call ($50)...he was here quite a while. However, all of our neighbours have had a lot of drain problems; so, I decided to also purchase a service plan. It wan`t very expensive and the peace of mind is worth it; and, the discounts you would get if it was a larger job would more than cover the cost of the insurance plan. He applied the discount to this service call and it was only $25. Dalia in the office was also wonderful. Good team! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

The existing plumbing configuration for our toilet was unusual - 10" rough in with only a 3" clearance from the wall in direct line with the toilet footprint. We had already tried two toilets unsuccessfully, and purchased a third toilet with high hopes. Quinn showed up on time, and pleasant. The toilet, not surprisingly, did not fit, but Quinn trouble shot on the spot and came up with a solution that allowed the toilet to be successfully installed. Smart, resourceful, high quality and clean service.

Due to age, I needed three of my toilets rebuilt. Dan was very professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very courteous and explained everything in detail to me. I highly recommend Bosco. This is the 2nd time I have used them and both plumbers were excellent. I will continue to use this company.

We had a main water shut off valve leak that needed to be repaired with concern for basement flooding that we had to call the city to shut off the water. It was great that the company was able to sent someone within a few hours and Steve was personable, punctual, appeared knowledgeable and did the work well with follow up waiting for the water to come back on and checking for leaks. He gave some good advice on repairs, fixtures etc. The reasons for the lower rating was that it seemed we spent more time going over service plans and the money that can be saved on future work than the actual work that we called for. We ended up getting the service plan because it was only 20 dollars more with the 10% discount. I was surprised to see some of the prices quoted including our work quote. For instance, to upgrade the toilet which I have done on my own was quoted for 300 dollars without the service plan. I have seen the work done for less than 50 dollars with a qualified plumber friend to assist. After reviewing the work which I could have done easily, the price quote was high. Parts would be the bulk of the costs if I had done it. I realize that there may be higher quotes out there and there may be lower quotes as well. Take home point - do your home work and if there is an opportunity to review a company and they can give you a fair quote, that would be the way to go. Given the urgent nature and not wanting to make a mistake with the main shut off valve in a 20 year old house with aging parents and not having my friend around prompted me to accept the quote and take it as a long term investment. We had no other choice. I would only use the company if its emergent work given the same day availability.

Natural gas was shut off due to low pressure (signifying a leak) as well as some minor code infractions. bottom line - no hot water! Chris came on a Sunday to assess the problem and found that the gas pipe was inaccessible thanks to a poorly designed extension (it was as if the extension was built on top of the old pipe) added by the previous owner. Rather than just take the easy way out right off the bat and install a new flexible line, he opted to give repairing the old line a shot (which would have meant $200 savings for me). Chris returned the next day with Doug at the appointed time (noon) and proceeded to spend a good 2 hours trying to find a way to fix the old line with no luck. We resorted to the pricier option of installing a new line and bypassing the old but even this proved challenging as it was no easy task to find a feasible access point for the pipe from the exterior. They ultimately got the job done, repairing the leak and clearing all the other infractions before sun down same day and kept the price within the quoted amount for the line bypass, even with the extra labor involved in the fruitless repair attempt of the old pipe. Thank you Chris and Doug for all your hard work in restoring hot water for us as quickly as possible.

Bathroom sink was very slow to drain. Tried to snake (25 ft) it myself but to no avail. Was desperate and called Bosco with all these great reviews and ads on radio. When plumber arrived, it seemed from the beginning the intent was to upsell to service plans. After about 10 minutes of looking up prices and calculating, the plumber gave a quote to snake the drain. The pricing for this alone was $400 which now seems outrageous for what was done. We went ahead with the snaking which he told me was limited to 25 ft and did not help to clear any clogs. At that time, he mentioned that another technician with inspection cameras would arrive to review further and provide options. After paying so much money already, I was beginning to get concerned how much more this may end up costing. A subsequent appointment was made to send a drain technician. This service call lasted barely 5 minutes after mentioning that a camera could not be placed in a sink drain - the plumber obviously was not aware of this. The drain technician provided a suggestion to use a drain cleaner and promptly left. Without wanting to use chemicals or spend more money, I decided to try another solution. Using a water bladder attached to a garden hose meant for clearing drains, this cleared the clog within 5 minutes. Lesson learned - a lot of these companies are just looking to upsell service plans and not provide the best knowlegeable services.

Kevin and Kevin did a quote to replace a faulty humidifier, a nest thermostat and new air cleaner. A week or so later one of the Kevin's showed up alone and did the whole job all by himself. He was incredibly polite and had great customer service, he found other issues with the furnace and found quick and simple resolutions for it. Kevin also stayed very late into the night to make sure the job was completed right. Had a wonderful experience with Bosco and the Kevin's!

I had a leak in a pipe that Dan K was able to isolate in a short period of time. What I liked was that he was punctual. Also appreciated the call from Head Office confirming the appointment. Totally professional in every way and pleasant demeanour. Explained everything thoroughly - what was wrong, what needed to be done, how long it would take. It made me feel at ease. Mannerly and respectful of my home (putting shoe covers on inside the home). Fixed the problem and showed me the final results as well as how to winterize the pipes in the fall. Would not hesitate to recommend Dan K.
