We hired them for the last two years for snow removal and everything wast ok, this year we decided to add lawn care and not once did they show up. We paid in full and never heard from them again. Have tried calling for months to resolve the situation and each time I am told the manager/owner are too busy to talk too. It's very disappointing because when you pay for a service you expect them to at least show up. We have now taken our contracts to another employer. They charged for the services never delivered and show their GPS truck tracker as the proof for their work. They take advantage of people trust and someone should stop them as soon as possible. Apparently the vice president of the franchise is aware and does not do any action, instead supporting their dishonest work. Please report them to BBB if you are a victim. This is not the case at all, unfortunately there are cases in this world where people don't want to pay for the services they received. You know that is the case Mr. Ashtarani otherwise you would not have sent the emails thanking us for the service before refusing to pay. I find it very upsetting that you would harm our companies reputation, built up over 25 plus years to save yourself paying for service you did receive but won't pay for. It's too bad there isn't a site like this for companies to post reviews on bad clients, I'm sure you would be at the top of the list.

We hired this company at first in 2014. We were pretty satisfied with their work in the first year, usually on time and did a good job with the snow removal. As for the lawn maintenance quite disappointing. Judging on how our lawn looks this year after two seasons with them i think we paid for nothing. Above that the aeration process was very interesting, that day our yard looked like after a war. Chunks of dried dirt bigger than a wine bottle cap covering the entire yard, a hazard for our little kid who runs around. We took pictures and had to clean those ourselves in one Large black garbage bag because they said it is normal. That cost us a few hours of work and blisters on our hands. Either than that they cut the grass on time. So next year either we find another contractor or we do it ourselves.Answer from pro:
I am very sorry if you were not prepared for your lawn to have the displaced soil plugs to be spread on your lawn, this is very typical and quite frankly if your lawn is not covered in soil plugs it only means your aeration was not done well. If the aeration is performed at the wrong time of year when the ground is hard or if there hasn't been rain for a while the plugs will be very small. Having good sized plugs removed from the lawn is a proper aeration and will give the best results. While it will be unsightly for a week or so the plugs will break down and act as a topdressing. We do our best to give great service and do clean up any solo plugs left on hard surfaces like driveways or patios.

Great snow removal always efficient and use markers. Never have to shovel worth every penny. They remove snow and come back if there is 3 cm or more. They came back 3 times when we received a big snow fall.Review from Customer of The Gardener Customer of The Gardener

Having previously used The Gardener in Mississauga with great service and results I thought that using The Gardener in Etobicoke would result in similar satisfaction. I was wrong. They did not deliver the services they were contracted to provide. Following up with them did not result in a change in service. I can't say enough about Carlo, and his team from the Gardiner Etobicoke, his lawn and garden program is excellent, and is snow removal program, is even better. Carlo has been servicing my house, and commercial business for the last couple years now, and I would never go with any other company. Carlo is very personal with every customer, his attitude is great, and you can even get his personal contact number, just in case you're in dire need to get a hold of him. Honestly I haven't had to call him once, his service has been impeccable. Having his personal line goes to show how much he really cares about his customers, and me having such a busy schedule, I feel a calm knowing I can get hold of him anytime. Thanks Carlo. So the winter is here, and if you live or have a business in the Etobicoke area, that needs snow or lawn care, give Carlo a call at the Gardener Etobicoke, or you can talk to his friendly secretary at the Gardener. We hired theis company for the first time this year and we were very disappointed. They were always missing patches of grass and there were always patches of grass that were tore up By the wheels of the Segway mower. They trimmed very poorly as well. These guys in Whitby don't care, they just want to get in and out as fast as they can. Is there anyone out there that care about their work they do and can stand back and be proud of their work?Answer from pro:
Unfortunately we have had many competitors post poor reviews on our company which we cannot do anything to control. It is sad as we are a small local company (I operate only in Whitby) and this type of thing hurts my business. Online reviews are anonymous after all. I agree with all negative comments here. Mine is Mississauga South (Fernando). Terrible service. Damaged my lawn. Trys to rip you off. Selects customers on who will pay the most. Way better family run companies out there and with these other companies don't have to pay franchise fees (which you pay for). Go elsewhere and get quality service.Answer from pro:

I hired The Gardener (Fernando) for the last two years to cut my grass. The price always went up and he asks me for paper bags for the clippings. This past fall he tried to overcharge me $250 for the clean up when I saw his people there for less than 2 hours. This year he declines to do my lawn when he advertises with signs. Terrible service, trys to rip you off and gives me a reason to finds someone better.
