Absolutely horrible service. I can't count how many times I've needed to call and have them show up. And then the work itself is terrible when they do. A neighbourhood child could do better work. After the easy winter they have had, they could at least do a decent job now. Beyond disappointing.

Shovelled it once when only a few inches fell. Never shovelled the big snowstorms..found out my neighbours did. I call and they won't call back...horrible service and they took my money!! Despicable!!

We used these people last year and they were very good and reliable. Apparently they have been bought out by someone new and they SUCK!! Don't waste your money or time calling to complain because it's excuse after excuse or some BS answer like they came at 2am but meanwhile no one had even been to our property!! Will never use them again...lost our business for the lawn as well...also my family that uses them for grass cutting is done with them too!

I regret having The Gardener clean the snow on my driveway. They always leave 2cm of hardened snow behind and it's noon now and they have yet to come clean the snow. I will go with them again

I have had the Gardener for several years. I have noticed a large drop in service over the last 18 months. On lawn maintenance they rush through the service leaving large clumps of grass not cleaned up. When trimming around the gardens they constantly spread the mulch over the grass. I mentioned this to them on several occasions but they did not seem to care. We have noticed this year on snow removal they do not respond timely often 10 to 12 hours after a snow fall. This is a drastic change from years previously. I have lost faith with them as they do not seem to care for my business like they did at the start. Very disappointed.

They have been completely unreliable in for the winter season of 2014/2015, at best they show up mid-morning to plow the driveway. When I call I get voice mail or excuses as to why the driveway hasn't been slowed and how unreasonable I am being.

I purchased the complete spring/summer 2014 package, they did come every week to cut grass, however never cleaned, weeded the garden which I had paid them to do. They basically charged me for more than I got. If I just want them just to cut my grass I would have only purchased that package. When I called and complained the woman did not apologize or offer a refund. Needless to say I will never use them again,

Today, I got a card left by the front door stating that my lawn had been aerated. I checked and was surprised that there was no evidence of any aeration in the back yard, only a few clumps of dirt in the front area. I called and complained to a patient lady who offered a defense: maybe they couldn't get into the back yard! This got me wondering that since she was so quick to offer this explanation, it was something that happened on an ongoing basis. If that was what happened, then why didn't the person performing the aeration knock on the door to tell me this, or why didn't they write it on the card that they left? Later, I spoke with the owner who said that they couldn't get the machine into the back yard because of a hill that was slippery! So, how many other times have they been unable to access the back yard/negotiate a hill, etc and left a card stating they completed the work - work that I paid for. Every other lawn care service has never had a problem getting into the back yard with an aerator. Shoddy, unprofessional approach to customer retention!

I cant compliment The Gardner Etobicoke enough. There service is next to none, we couldn't ask for a friendlier more co-operative crew. I have to say my garden and lawn is the best looking on the street. I have been using them for 3 years and would not think of using anyone else Their snow removal services is fantastic too. . I would highly recommend them.

Consistent with many of the reviews, I hired The Gardner (North York) at $120/mo. for grass cutting only for the 2013 season and did not renew. Hires students not knowing what they were doing other than pushing a mower and using a weed whacker (which zapped a shrub that I had to replace), no call backs from the franchisee and at best, average results. Dropped the mower several times especially around edging, not bothering to pick up pine cones rather just running over them (glad I don't own the equipment). Did the bare minimum.
