    Wasp Nest

Like many who have already posted, I would recommend Joe unequivocally. He was responsive in calling me back - within a day. We had a fulsome discussion, where he outlined exactly what he would do and why given my description of the issue. Turns out his technique was likely better than others as I had wasps who had built a nest in my 2nd floor window sill - essentially in the walls of my house. Others would have just come and dusted/sprayed. Joe took 1.5 - 2 hours to first vacuum them out which prevented further damage that angry trapped wasps might have caused. While everything I read on-line said that after dusting it might take a 7-10 days for activity to stop, it was fine within 48 hours. Well done Joe - professional, personable, knowledgeable!

red squirrels between the 1st and 2nd floor space

Joe came out to look for the hole the squirrels and probably mice were entering my home. He found it behind our gas meter. He mcgyvered a one way trap because the area was not easily accessible. He solved our problem. The squirrels left after a day or three. While Joe was at our house he advised us on how to prevent critters from getting in via other gaps in our siding. Overall good experience.

Thanks for the review. It was tricky indeed to get that one way door on. I had to rebuild a door and construct to work upside down. The door worked well though judging by the results.

    Pest Control - Wasp Nest

Joe was professional and courteous. He was able to accommodate a last minute request and took care of a very large wasp nest located under the fascia above our front door. He took the time to manually extract what must have been thousands of them before treating the area so they don't return. By the next day all traces of wasps were gone and we're 1 week post and no wasps to be found. Thanks Joe! Nancy

Thanks for the review. Glad they were all removed and we didn't have to deal with thousands of hovering wasps tiring to renter the home for weeks on end.

Ants in Lawn and on Patio

I inherited a terrible lawn from the previous owner, that was laden with ants. Even after landscaping and putting new sod in the backyard, the ants found a way to make a giant hill out of my new lawn. On top of that, they were running from the side lawn through my new patio into the backyard. It was unsightly sitting at my patio table to see these ants going back and forth. I tried multiple things on my own to no avail. That's when Joe came by. He offered a variety of options for me. We opted to go with a probe of the large massive ant hill. Additionally, he sprayed my patio down with the repellant. So far so good. No ant hills coming back, yet and ants have more than avoided our patio ever since. We do see the odd one here and there, but not the steady stream that was there before hand. Even thinking of having joe spray around our perimeter and possibly other areas now seeing how well his repellant worked. Thanks very much Joe.

    Answer from pro:

The ant hill was huge indeed. The issue was getting the nest killed off and ensuring that fleeing ants were not going to venture any where near the house. My approach on this particular job was to apply large amounts of insecticide directly into the nest via a 4 foot termite rod. They didn't even know what hit them.

    Bees in the wall

We noticed a weird sound in our back room and discovered that we had bees inside the wall. Joe answered the phone right away, and came to our house to assess the situation that night. We are very pleased with the work so far, and Joe was very informative and helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend Snap Pest Control.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for your review. The sound was on the second story and I had to get a tall ladder to reach the bees as they were entering and exiting. Once they were removed the issue was resolved without having to cut open the walls. A simple trick.

    Red Squirrel in attic

We had a problem with a red squirrel nesting in our attic. I called Joe because he came highly recommended by our neighbours. Joe came out, inspected the roof, sealed up the entry point, vents and potential weak spots. Joe showed up on time and the job took three hours to complete. After a week, I’m happy to say no more 6:00 a.m. wake up calls by unwanted critters. Joe is thorough and his price is reasonable. He is courteous, honest and all around nice guy. Highly recommended! Thanks Joe!

Thanks. I know this squirrel was driving you guys crazy. These red squirrels can be aggressive and persistent.. This little guy will find a new home soon enough. Joe

Removal of squirrels and lock down

We had a problem with squirrels getting into our eaves. What an awful noise. Joe was fantastic drawing them out, identifying their entry point(s) and repairing the roof and vents. He was not the first to try - before we met Joe we contracted other firms who talked a good game, charged a bomb, but fail to deliver. He had to repair their [easy to see for yourself] lousy repairs! Joe is "the real deal". Simply put, we will not use another pest control company again. THANK YOU JOE!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks For the review. The previous companies chicken wire and lag bolts came off with a meager tug. Yes, lag bolts were used to attach chicken wire to my clients aluminum cladding. Never under estimate the potential of wildlife to take advantage of weak work. Animals have all day to tug on things and loosen up shoddy work with shoddy materials. They will come back.

    Wasp Removal

I called Joe because I had a large number of wasps hovering around a covered back porch. They were coming in and out of two openings in the roof of the porch. His method sounded interesting to me (vacuuming a large number of them out before dusting). He worked here for about two hours. I can't yet comment too much on how effective his work was, as he just completed. He told me to call him if I still saw some hovering around in a week or two. Right now I can see that there are some wasps still hovering around trying to get back into the openings, but it seems that they are being turned away by the dust. So far I am very happy with Joe's professionalism and punctuality. I will write another review in a couple of weeks after I can comment on the effectiveness -- hopefully these wasps are gone for good.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for your review. In this particular case the wasps were entering the siding on two fronts. I have never seen so many wasps. I hauled out well over a thousand wasps and still did a revisit two weeks later as a few were still around. Knowing the extent and relative size of a hidden nest is impossible and by simply dusting I know that based on this job's dynamics it would have been a dangerous situation for this client. Thousands of wasps hovering to get in and wasps potentially entering the home would have been the result of not doing the job correctly. I don't know how many calls I get whereby a homeowner or company just blocked the entry /exit area with a dust or spray. Joe

Bees and Wasps and Hornets, oh my.

After reviewing Homestars, I called Joe to come help with a bee problem in my backyard. I could not only see the bees coming and going from my awning over a bay window, but I could hear them nesting from inside. Joe came first to investigate, gave me a plan of action, and then took care of the problem in a very short time. It turned out we had three varieties of flying stinging creatures nesting in our window. Joe took care of it. By the next day, I didn't see any more bees or wasps, nor could I hear them taunting us. Fair price, great demeanor, and highly recommended. Thanks Joe!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the review. I was amazed at how three different species of bees/wasps could want to set up shop in such close proximity. The bay window was challenging to treat due to some overgrown landscaping which was in my way. In the end I created a nice bonsai out of an over grown juniper bush so that I could reach the underside of the window. 95 % of the wasps were mechanically removed to avoid any lingering wasps and or wasps getting into the home.
