    Pest Control

This man does not miss a spot! He knows his stuff and goes through the place very detailed! I was very impressed how he patched the bottom of my kitchen sink and closed up the openings! He is very knowledgeable as well. Then at the end he left me some of those sticky pads and it was just great how he took care of my place. His customer service was great! Would recommend him with no hesitation!

Thanks for the great review. I knew that you were in an apartment and sealed your place up against mice entry altogether. Thanks again,Joe

    too good to be true?

reading past reviews there's not much i can add. joe arrived ON TIME today & immediately calmed my fears of a mouse infestation in our attic. he carefully inspected our home - inside & out. then sealed tiny holes (which i would never have noticed), pulled back & checked insulation, chose the best places to leave bait and calmed my fears again. working with joe was like getting help from a great neighbour or friend - kind, courteous, thoughtful and patient. thank you joe -you made it a pleasure dealing with 'pests' :) and give him a call!

    Raccoon removal

We had a family of raccoons living in our roof. Joe set up a one way door. The raccoons are now gone. He came back, removed the door, fixed a small part of our roof that the raccoons had chewed through, and even shingled the area of the roof he fixed. He also installed wire mesh over all vent covers. He did a great job and I am totally confident that the raccoons will not be back. I would recommend him to anyone.

    Answer from pro:

This was a tricky job I had to also mesh up a 30 foot section of upper roof line because of the exposed wood and gaps. That in tandem with cutting off the raccoon's ability to reach the roof altogether and roofing work resulted in a raccoon proof home for once. Thanks again,Joe

    Bed Bugs

I freaked out when my new tenant discovered that a previous tenant left behind some bedbugs in my condo. After hours of googling pest control companies in Toronto, I chose Snap Pest Control because of the good reviews that this company has (seriously, I haven't seen a single bad review). I called and explained my situation to Joe, and he was able to come out a couple of days later on a Sunday. Joe showed up on time, and took his time inspecting the apartment. This guy thoroughly went over everything with a magnifying glass. He explained everything to us every step of the way (i.e. their hiding places, life cycles, etc.etc.). He confirmed that we have bed bugs in the apartment and found their hiding spot. The little buggers were in the closet deep inside the sliding door track. Told you this guy is really thorough :) He then went Rambo on them by vacuuming, steaming, fumigating and dusting. Joe also pointed out a couple of places that should be sealed up in case a bed bug was able to escape and hide in there. It's been a week, and my tenant says that he hasn't seen any bugs and so far nothing bit him. Joe will also be doing a follow up soon to see if anything else needs to be done. Overall both me and my tenant were really happy with the service. Joe was able to answer any questions that we had and left us with clear directions on what to do after the procedure. This guy knows his stuff. I will definitely be recommending him to anyone that has any kind of a pest problem and needs a mini apocalypse to get rid of them.

    Answer from pro:

I always carry a good flashlight and magnifying glass on me at all times. I could see a tiny bed bug hiding in the closet sliding door track of the apartment and narrowed things down. The previous tech simply missed the remaining bed bugs or they were hiding in a crack or crevice. Thanks for the business,Joe

    Termite

I am a homeowner who recently discovered a massive termite infestation in my basement. Going on a friend's recommendation, I contacted Joe from Snap Pest Control. Joe was easy to communicate with - he explained everything to me and followed up. Snap could not have been more professional in helping me fix the problem. I also have experience working with Aenta, and in comparison Snap is by far the more knowledgeable and thorough company when it comes to termites. I would recommend any homeowner to work with this company. Just fantastic.

    baseboard spraying

Joe was able to come and perform the work two days after the initial call. Not only did he perform the work but he took a lot of care in the possible root causes and provided advice on how to prevent the issues from happening again. I would definitely recommend Joe to anyone.

    Rats in our house!

We contacted Snap to get rid of "mice" living in our stove. Joe came to our place and took a thorough look around our house and determined that our "mice" problem was in fact rats!! He went around to all possible entry points in the house and meshed covered them off. He also placed poisonous bait in the areas that they were nesting. He's coming back for a follow-up visit next week (2 weeks from his initial visit) to check the bait and ensure we are rat free. Great guy. Very concerned about his clients well being. Not just there to place bait, which is only a band-aid solution. He fixes the situation and ensures it is fully taken care of. We would absolutely use him again and recommend him to anyone needing to get rid of critters. Thumbs up for us!

    Answer from pro:

Thanks, for the great review. It took me awhile to figure this problem out in that the rats were using a plumbing stack to enter the home. I noticed it because there was an open end on the stack on an elbow which was no longer in use which was connected at one time to a toilet in an extension. A week earlier I had seen the same scenario and I was able to draw the same conclusion. You can see the photo on my web site ( a green stack). Joe

    Mouse in the house

Snap Pest Control was courteous, considerate, thorough in their investigation of the property and provided a clear report and summary plan. I was on a tight budget; their advice highlighted what I could do myself and how best to make a follow-up inspection complement that effort. The advice was professional, and easy-to-understand. I would call them again or share their number with friends.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the review. I totally understand the budget issues these days and am happy to be of help..

Squirrel, rat and mice internal and external

The Snap Pest team came for a squirrel problem we were having in a little extension in the back of our home. The squirrels were getting in under the floor board and using it as a latrine. While they were addressing that issue, I had mentioned to them about an external rat problem we were having under our deck and some mouse droppings we found under our kitchen sink. They laid out poison traps external and internally in our home. All problems were resolved. No more rats or mice and the squirrels never came back. Fast forward 18 months later and we see some mouse droppings in our home. I call Snap again and Joe comes over and inspects the home. He finds where the mice are now coming in from and stuffs the hole. He resets the baits and makes sure everything is secure. All at no additional charge. That's what I call service and taking care of your customer.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks for the great review. I remember the job well, in fact the tenants at the property next door were feeding pests like they were zoo keepers. The fact that my client was so diligent about maintaining the integrity of his home in tandem with our advice on potential problems really helped avert some serious issues here. I've never seen so many squirrels.

    Termites Extermination

We had discovered termites in our basement and was really scared. We did not know what to do, then we went on internet looking for some information. We called Snap Control and they gave Joe's phone number to call. Then we called Joe and his voice on the phone sound so friendly. He came to see us very soon and walking around our house tried to find where the termites were coming from. He had spent a lot of times examining and explaining things to us. His price was very reasonable and he had listed all the calculation on how to arrive the price. At the day he came to work, he did not rush himself. He did the jobs very carefully and in very professional manner. After the job was done, he provided lots of ideas for us because we want to renovate the basement. He told us if we ever have any question, call him and he is willing to help us out. Joe, very much appreciated for your quick assistance and very professional services. Your friendly smile and caring had calmed us down. We definitely will recommend your professional services to our friends and neighbors if they ever need one. Best regards.

    Answer from pro:

thanks for the great review. I relied on some previous jobs to help me tackle this pest issue. The problem was a badly chewed up staircase and I knew we had an opening somewhere because the basement foundation was cinder block and showed little signs of humidity as well as termite shelter tube material. It was important for me to remove the walls on both sides of the stair case because I wanted to find the access. Finally, after removing a vertical support stud a hole about he size of golf ball was discovered. A chemical treatment in tandem with the sealing of all potential access areas with high strength parging cement was the required course of action. I could see termites in the grass, the trees, even the mulch outside and realized we had to protect the house as much as possible. I make calculations on all my termite related jobs because its important for people to know just exactly how much chemical and concentration is needed to fully treat a home. Holes were drilled every foot apart into the basement slab one foot away from the walls. It was decided to go with a concentration of .75% instead of .5% as added insurance. Also, I even cross drilled holes into the floor joists and sprayed them twice. I even went around the exterior twice with a 2 hour gap so the soil could absorb termiticide evenly without becoming too concentrated on the bottom only. Later, a dust was injected into the wall voids as an added precaution. I take termites seriously and am happy it all worked out well in the particular case. Joe Snap Pest Control
