We build our new house with Avi in 2013. It certainly was a time and energy consuming process with them. Their immidiate answer to all of our requests (which was paid per request from us) was "It is absolutly impossible" . All the impossible issues have been completed by ourselves like the floor plan we picked wouldn't fit the lot ( It did!!!) permit for our deck ( We personally got it from city and paid for it twice). The worste one was tha fact that neighbour built their driveway 6 feet into our property limit and they didn't want to fix it (The builder for the neighbour house was AVI !) we had to use our personal connections to get a survey done and then they had to fix it ! If it was not for our technical background this house would end up being a total disaster. The whole process was a nightmare.

Our townhome in Evanston has lots of plus features which suggests much thought and refinement has gone into the design process and into the product package however we are getting the same treatment where specific issues are downplayed and the we await resolution on numerous issues. We are hoping they will come through but it is nine months now. Some issues include bathroom design, shower heights, flooring transitions, fence and gate problems. Contact me if you want to discuss.

We were fortunate to find someone selling their just completed Homes By Avi home. We jumped on the opportunity to buy and were able to purchase the home. Given that the home was brand new, it still included the warranty. Homes By Avi was quick to update their files and provide us with information on the home, as if we were the ones who had built it with them. Their warranty work was excellent whenever something needed to be fixed. In particular, Ira in their warranty department was excellent to deal with. While I can't comment on the process of building with Homes By Avi, if the professionalism and attention to detail they paid in the warranty phase are any indication, this is an excellent company to build a home with.

Homes by Avi built our home in 2011 - can't believe it's been 2 years already, but I must say they did an absolute amazing job. From the framework to the concrete, they did a fabulous job!

I was fortunate to get out of the purchase, before there was no turning back. I hope you will be smart enough and not get involved in any contract with them in the first place. Good Luck and find a builder you can trust.

I had my home built almost completely custom by Avi Homes. It turned out great and they did it in the time they said it would be done by. Great job Avi Home and thanks a lot.

Dealing with this homebuilder has been a complete nightmare. The day you pay for your home is the last you will ever hear from them. Any attempts get warranty work done are ignored. Look at the recent complaints made to the BBB for more info on this. If you build with them, prepare for a ton of headaches.

We recently built with Homes by Avi. While we were very happy with the home, it was quite the process getting there. I had to take a month off work to ensure that what needed to be fixed was fixed. In the walk through, the site super kept trying to downplay all our concerns. However, there were a few key trades people that went above and beyond with the required repairs - the problem stemmed from the higher levels.

Homes by Avi is an exceptional builder, home selection process was painless, they have a lot of choices especially ones with good feng shui as we are quite superstitious when it comes to these things. Reps were pleasureful to deal with and are profession. Overall quality of home is quite good, don't pick the appliances those as ours have all malfunctioned at one point in time.
