My son recently constructed a solid maple staircase which needed staining. Adam and his crew were diligent in getting the job done, which was no easy task. Maple is a "tight grained" wood, in other words, it's hard to work with, requires quite a bit of conditioner, and there's no guarantee the stains will take as quickly as you want them to. We had budgeted and planned for between 2-3 stain sessions (you have to wait at least 12 hours in between stains before applying another coat) and in the end it came out to 5! Throughout the process from the initial consultation over the phone with Jason, to the final staining with Adam and his crew the staff of moda was professional and helpful. thanks and great job. Adam came into our home to quote the painting of the interior of our 5-bedroom house. Not only was his cost reasonable as compared to others but he provided suggestions on colour schemes, type of paint and finishes. He worked within our budget and the end result was fabulous. We had him come back to paint the exterior of the house to match the colour of our new windows and doors. He got it exact! We had him return to apply a textured cement finish to our front porch to turn a cold cement front entrance into a warm welcoming entrance to our home. Adam is precise and careful in his painting and very professional in his approach. We were extremely happy with the results and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

Looked waaaaayyyy better than if I were to have done it myself... and a whole lot less work as well! Everything from the colour selection to the carrying out of the work itself was done in a professional and timely manner. Thanks again guys!

Attention to detail and fine quality were what marked the difference between this paint firm and others I've used. I always like to say "I like my trims white, and my walls painted". It's nice to see a company that shares my values, came in on time, and on budget. Good recommendation. Ed.

Although it wasn't the biggest construction project ever, our recent bathroom renovation turned into a bit of a nightmare when a few of the trades either showed up late, didn't show up at all, or conducted poor worksmanship. Luckily, we chose our painters well based on recommendations from friends of the family. They only used the finest paint products that will not harm us or our children (Ben Moore) but they even left the job site neater than how they found it. Being in the industry myself I can totally appreciate what the trades go through and how finding good trades is a rarity. Recently we (my husband and I) had a significant portion of our rental suite (window trim in the "French door" style - rather time consuming and requiring a degree of technical precision and experience), our railing leading from the ground to the upper floor as well as various doors painted by the team of MODA finishes and were quite content with the results. Adam, Matthew, and Jason only used the finest products (Benjamin Moore – low or no VOC, volatile organic compound, based paints and primers), and did a very nice job. Being a realtor in the Lower Mainland myself and having to deal with home owners moving into and out of homes quite frequently I have a real appreciation and keen eye for what is and is not quality painting. Dear Jason, Just wanted to drop a note to say how thrilled we were with the finishing job that Adam did on our french doors. They were discolored and bleached by years of sun and rain. Adam matched the finish to the natural look of the other doors and trim in our home. - but this was no easy task. It involved extensive prep work - sanding the doors in stages, from coarse to fine, filling irregularities with wood putty and finally by meticutousty applying multiple coats of varnish over a number of days. He did it patienily, methodically and wouldn't leave untilwe were totally satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend Adam and Moda Finishes for any painting job you may be struggling with in your home or office.
