Black Forest, built three pieces for us. First was a custom cabinet to house our TV, stereo equipement combined with a fireplace mantel. It is truly beautiful and looks amazaing in our basement. The second project were two custom dining room cabinets. The entire project was flawless from napkin design to final placement in the dining room. I strongly recommend Black Forest for all your custom cabinets, bathroom vanities, fireplace mantel ... etc.

Steve from Black Forest Woodwork made a beautiful cappacino coloured maple cabinet for my guest bathroom. The drawers are well made and slide very well. The cabinet is a focal point in the room and I am very happy with Steve's dedication to his craft and perfection. The cabinet has been admired by many people. A picture is enclosed.

The job started well - Steven arrived when he said he would, he established what the job was, reviewed the situation (determined where the wiring was, how the nearby doors opened, what if any special requests for design there were) and developed a design with schematic/drawings. Discussed and helped with knowledgeable comments re: materials (wood type, finishings etc.), size of cupboards, number of drawers, doors etc. Set a time to meet again with samples and materials - arrived on time and finalized the plan. Set an agreed due date, which he met. Came and installed the designed piece - it fit perfectly first time. He then finished the instalation having added touches that I had not thought of such as a felt stopper for the door that openned near the cabinets. At the end of the project, without being asked he did a complete clean up on site. The final result was stupendous! I have had no problems and no follow up issues. I have had many compliments on the work and workmanship. I would not hesitate to recommend this contractor and his excellent work.

Steve Fekete of Black Forest is a craftsman that pays attention to detail. Extremely skilled and old school craftmanship for a young personable,honest and very cool contractor. Use this gentleman and you will be extremely happy with the results as well as your resale value. Thanks again Steve.

Steve helped us to remodel our family room. What started out as a cold and conventional room ended up being a warm and contemporary haven for our family. The mantel that he built and installed serves as a show piece in our home. Many of our guests and family have complimented his fine work! I have highly recommended him for several jobs. A true craftsman!

I was given a quote and that was the final price (no add-ons, no hidden costs and no issues). Steve explained every step of the way in detail, came through as expected regarding time line and with the finish product. I’m always worried about who enters my home, but Steve @ Black Forest Woodworking is very reliable, accurate and keeped the work area very clean. Steve built some custom oak book shelves and some built in cabinets for me in Feb. 2010. I liked him and his work so much he's now designing new cupboards for my kitchen. He has a great eye for design and shares his ideas if you ask, and I do. I appreciate his ideas and suggestions. He has a key to my house and I trust him to come and go as needed. He's easy to work with and delivers a high quality product for the promised price and on time. Finding the right person is half the battle with renovations and home projects. It is a pleasure to work with him and I highly recommend him and his work.

I know Steven since he was working in my friend's carpenter shop.(10 years ago)I know he is fully trustworthy ,and precise in work.Even when he arrived in this country very young had the diploma of wood industry technician.When he learned to work with all the woodworking machinery ,he become a very well qualified worker.I would never order any woodwork from somebody else. Impressed would be an understatement when describing the craftsmanship of Black Forest Woodworking. Steve (the owner) takes the time to help design a piece of furniture that will custom fit in your home. He is extremely meticulous when designing and installing. I was amazed at how many times he would measure a piece to ensure that it fit so exact that you would have thought the built-ins were already a feature of the house. Not only is he very exact in his measurements and installation, but he is also conscientious in how he leaves your home....CLEAN. We absolutely adore our mantel and side built ins. The custom made filing cabinet meets out office needs. If your looking for an honest family run business that prides themselves in their work, then Black Forest Woodworking is the company for you.

Steve did an ecxellent job on our fireplace mantel and built in cabinets on either side. His workmanship is impecable and he is truly a master craftsman. He helped us go thru various designs and was patient with us until we were absoluely sure about what we wanted. We have since recommened him to our friends who have complimented us on the work that he has done. Steve takes pride in his work and it truly shows!
