Jovian and his assistant James did an excellent job creating our backyard patio. We were so fortunate to have found him on Homestars and so thankful that he was able to squeeze us into his schedule this fall. Jovian understood the challenges our backyard posed, being slanted in many directions. We realized that he was very experienced and he immediately started with the construction issues before tackling the cosmetic ones. Jovian is a perfectionist, wanting the construction of the patio to last, not just to create a patio. In addition, he also had an appreciation of our aesthetic wishes. We felt secure in hiring him and now, afterwards know we made the right decision. Due to COVID, there were supply problems, but he worked with us, and we now have a beautiful patio as a result. They started exactly as scheduled and both worked extremely hard and efficiently. He put down plywood to protect the front lawn from any machinery used, and was considerate of not only our front lawn, but also our neighbour’s adjoining yard. He was always approachable and has a very calming personality. He patiently answered our many questions, very professionally, which allowed us to learn about the process and made sure we were part of the creation. Creating a patio is not such a simple process, especially to do it properly to avoid pooling and sagging. You need someone like Jovian who coupled with years of experience, gives your job full attention, does the job conscientiously, with an eye for detail and commitment -- not trying to rush finishing it. and just run off to the next job. It was such a pleasure having him and James do our patio, we highly recommend him if you want someone who cares, takes pride in their work, has a wonderful work ethic, and is professional and honourable. Our small subdivision back split desperately needed a revamp of the front entryway, as well as a replacement for the wood deck I already removed. We wanted something clean and simple in both areas. The difference out front is remarkable and the curb appeal of the place has been elevated dramatically. The back patio is fabulous and it’s great to sit out there again with my breakfast and my dog, to have somewhere to have guests gather. I’m not a pro at all but the work looks slick and carefully lain. Again, not a pro, but seeing how they prepped the areas I’m convinced this will all last a really, really long time.

Joe, we look at our beautifully transformed backyard through the window and cannot believe that about a week ago it looked like a war zone. Our backyard is compact - only 500 sq feet. It was not touched for 20 years and obviously cried for renovation. In search of help, we contacted few contractors this summer. Our realistic expectation was that someone will put us on their waiting list for October-November or next spring. Lockdowns made homeowners overlook their outdoor properties and improve them for better use. Some contractors honestly said that they are so busy that they literally are taking jobs only in their neighborhood, other ones made a fuss about narrow clearance to our backyard entry and did not want to handle the construction using manpower. When we met Joe, he pointed on manual labor as well but he did not hesitate to do some of the work manually and did not make a big deal about it, he gave us good recommendations regarding material, explained the project major steps, and possible hidden obstacles which he could not address before the construction area cleaned up. When he said that he could squeeze us into his summer schedule, we did not believe it, and yet less than a month later our backyard, front porch, and the entrance of the house have been completed!!! As a contractor Joe hit all our checkmarks - he always contacted us on time, provided information as promised, answered all our questions, performed a professional job, cleaned up the working site at the end of each day, and not once showed his people skills by talking to our immediate neighbor. Thanks to Joe and his team we have time for planting new trees this season and enjoy our backyard with family and friends. We would highly recommend these guys.

We had our backyard patio redone and extended by Stone landscaping. Kyle was terrific to work with. He walked me through all the work that would be done, offered some recommendations on paver selection and answered all of my questions. The crew worked quickly and efficiently and cleaned up the site when they were done. The new pad looks really great and is graded properly for water run off. We love our new patio. I'll definitely have Stone Landscaping back for future work - highly recommended.

The vision we created with Kyle and Joe transformed our tired yard into a beautiful backyard oasis that included a pool, fence, stonework, lighting and entertainment wall. We were so delighted, allowing the project scope to creep and now our front yard has exceptional street appeal. Kyle, Joe and crew are polite, respectful, highly skilled, professional outdoor design and build experts who went above & beyond and exceeded our expectations. They are first rate, we would not hesitate in recommending them to others.

We hired Stone Landscaping & Construction to replace and widen an old asphalt driveway with new stone pavers. Jovian and his team were very professional and easy to work with. The finished product looks great and we still receive compliments from people on the street. We are very satisfied and would gladly recommend them.

Jovian and his crew were a pleasure to deal with and I would highly recommend Stone Landscaping for any outdoor projects. Due to the lack of stone and garden supplies during the pandemic it was reassuring to see Jovian go out of his way to find the stones and plants we were looking for. His crew was punctual, courteous, and above all professional with their work. They didn't overlook a single detail to make sure the job would last for years. Above all, because of their experience they were able to visualize what the project could look like and make the appropriate changes to the plan. We have used contractors for a LOT of work around our homes for many years, and Kyle provided the absolute BEST SERVICE WE HAVE EVER RECEIVED. He did exactly what we asked for, adjusted to changes without any fuss (or extra charges), his work was beautiful and his crews were very polite. People regularly stop as they are driving or walking by and stop to take a look at what a beautiful job they did. I would highly recommend Kyle for any project of any size. He is fantastic to deal with in all respects.
