Project
Masterpiece did a fabulous job on our hardwood. The service was quick and prompt and the workmanship was superb. Furthermore, the price was very competitive. We visited a lot of big name flooring stores and found that the quality of the hardwood offered was inferior to Masterpiece for the price that we were willing to spend. Todd was meticulous, experienced and completed our project ahead of schedule. Connie offered excellent customer service. She answered all my concerns and questions in a timely manner. I would recommend Masterpiece to anyone looking to install high quaility flooring for a very competitive price.

Hardwood Floor Installation
Outstanding Products and Customer Service!! Our search for hardwood flooring began almost two years ago, and in that time frame we have visited / consulted almost every store in Calgary. After each visit we left with an uneasy feeling either about the product itself or the company. That is until we spoke with Todd and Connie. From the initial measure / install appointment we knew Masterpiece Hardwood was different. Todd arrived early, and provided numerous samples. Once we began narrowing in on product selection he was able to provide meaningful insight / opinions based on product knowledge as well as his installation experience. Almost immediately we were able to find the hardwood floor that we had been looking for - Coswick Oiled Ash - Approximately 1800 sq. ft. We were so impressed from our initial meeting that we actually referred Todd to a few friends even before the project began. From the beginning of the project right through until the end Todd was always punctual and quick to communicate if there were any questions. His work ethic and attention to detail are impeccable, and he puts the same care and attention into the entire project as he would if he were working at his own house. We would not hesitate to have him complete another project for us, and we will continue to recommend him to friends, family or anyone else who may ask.

Hardwood Floor Intallation
I used homestars to search for a well reviewed hardwood flooring company as my mom wanted install hardwood throughout her main floor. Masterpeice was head of the class and I have to agree with everybody else. My mom had a few estimates done and was most impressed with Connie, as she clearly explained what would be done and what her options were. My mom ended going with a higher quality floor than what was in the house already, but it still matched well and she is very satisfied.My mom is willing to pay a little more for better quality and service,but she ended up getting a very competitive quote that was less than the other two quotes we received.Todd came in and did the work about twice as fast as I would have guessed and the new floor looks awesome. My mom was also impressed with how they cleaned up after themselves and their overall effort to make sure sure their customer is happy. I can't think of a reason not to hand out a 10 for this company.

Bungalow Main Floor Renovation
We love our new floor! My wife and I live in a big bungalow. The size of the main floor is approximately 2400 sf. It used to be a mixture of 25-year-old hardwood and carpet. So we decided to replace it with new hardwood floor. We found Todd and his company on the Internet. We decided to hire him because of all the wonderful online reviews. We picked the product called "Coswick Oak" with a Rose Matte finish. We happened to be away on vacation while Todd and his crew worked in the house. When we came back, the house was clean and the floor was brand new. We just loved it! We were very impressed by Todd throughout the entire renovation. He has a good knowledge about the products and he is very easy going. We were not there to witness the whole installation process but that did not matter. We are very impressed and extremely happy about the end result--our new floor. It is a true reflection of high quality and excellent craftsmanship. We are very thankful to have made the right choice to replace the entire floor with hardwood and to go with Todd and his product. We are also very impressed with the after care service Todd provided. My wife made a small mark by accidentally dropping the Ipad. After being in contact with Todd, he came by and fixed it without any charge. Overall, it is a great product and Todd is a very nice man!

Supply of Vinyl Cork (new product to the market)
I am an Interior Decorator in Calgary and I am always looking for new products and reliable contractors. I've met Connie and Todd at the Home and Design show in 2012. They presented Vinyl Cork, a new product from Portugal, which I liked very much for my out of country project. Todd was very helpful for educating me on the quality and installation of the product and how much we would need to install it properly. Then Connie helped me with the shipping and doing all the paperwork for customs. A few boxes came damaged and she quickly organized the replacement so my project went smoothly. I couldn't have a better experience with the process. I am looking forward working with Todd and Connie on my future projects.

Hardwood Floor and Baseboard install
We met Todd and Connie from Masterpiece at the Sept. 2012 homeshow and were immediately impressed with their knowledge and experience, committment to their small company and the product lines they chose to work with. They made selecting the exact flooring easy by bringing samples to our house (on multiple occasions) and answering a barrage of questions. Todd installed the Coswick product we selected on 2 levels of our house, includng the staircase. He graciously worked around our renovation schedule completing the job in phases from Feb - May 2013. Todd's workmanship is excellent. Great examples of this are his transitions to floor tile at varying heights and a custom curved bottom stair. Other tradespeople onsite commented on his great work to us as well. Todd kept the worksite clean and was very pleasant to work with. We really like our floor and highly recommned him!

Harwood floor installation for roughly 950 sq feet and stairwells.
I found Todd right here in Home Stars. I was planning on having quite a bit of renovation done to my home, which included the kitchen, hardwood flooring, and tiling. The hardwood flooring was to be the biggest job and I wanted the perfect contractor for it. I did my homework and got 3 quotes just for the flooring. Todd was well-priced, and definitely in the range I was willing to spend; however, it was his personality and great customer service that won him the job. He is courteous, professional, and gave me a quote in less than 24 hours. I should mention that his customer service started as soon as he met with me. He took his time to get to know me and even enjoyed playing with my puppy. I think it is important to get to know a worker that is going to be coming and going at-will in your home. I did like his products and ended up choosing an engineered hardwood oak floor. Love the floor! It has passed all the tests with my pets! The variety in its color, the grain, and the overall style is so attractive! This floor is going to get better as it gets older and that is why I chose it. Except for the painting/patching of the walls and baseboard, the renovations are done. The more I look at my floor, the more I love it. Todd was so patient: I had a hard time making up my mind at first. He was kind enough to drop the samples off to my home, pick them up when he needed them, and drop them off again just so that I could compare them with color samples for my kitchen. How is that for customer service? He was also easy to reach. I would text him, and he would reply almost right away. If you want to hire a contractor and be able to forget about him until the starting date, Todd is that guy: I never had to worry about him not showing up or arguing with me about the job. If I had a question or concern, it was addressed right away. Todd is a stress-free contractor! He is also a craftsman: my floor had so much variety of tones that it took a skilled worker to puzzle it together. I wonder if his inspiration came from the kind of music he was listening to while working. He also cut and installed my baseboard, making sure to cut it nicely to match the discrepancy in levels where the wood met the tiles. He also had to deal with crooked walls (thanks to the house builder!) and stairwells that were not quite straight. Everything is now perfect, and everything was done and finished on time. When you hire Todd, you get the 5-star treatment and result. Without hesitation, I would hire him again.

Hardwood flooring
Todd has completed two contracts in our home. I would hire him again and have recommended him to others. In addition to being professional and timely in his work, Todd provided information about various woods, finishes, and longevity, advice and suggestions about design, comparisons between products, and information about the processes used by his suppliers. I appreciate that he chooses his suppliers carefully and that he has good access to Canadian product. Todd took time to answer questions. He took interest in our personal tastes and lifestyle that influenced flooring choice. Todd approaches his work as a craftsman, paying attention to detail and quality, We talked on a couple of occasions about character, coloration, and markings in the wood I chose. It was delightful to see that Todd paid attention to board choice during the installation, showcasing some unique pieces. I continue to be pleased with the product and the work.

Project consultation
Spoke with Todd at the home show, and had an immediate impression of both professionalism and an easy going manner. Having family who work in the flooring business (carpet & lino) I'm not often impressed, but I was with these guys. Looking forward to getting some cork and hardwood in the near future.

New Cork Flooring
I love my new floors! I had to have my carpet removed because of my asthma. I was not sure what floor to get or what was best for my asthma. I looked around on-line and found Todd and Masterpiece Hardwood Flooring. Todd suggested that I install cork flooring. He explained why cork was a good option and also supplied me with information on the cork flooring. I found out that Cork is antimicrobial due to the presence of suberin, a naturally occurring substance that reduces growth of mold, mildew, bacteria, and other allergens. The hard surface makes it easy to clean with a dust mop, and even though it is a porous material, the finish prevents pockets where allergens can collect. It has been over a month since my floors have been installed and I love them. Todd came to the house and installed the floors on the day he said he would and completed them in the time frame he gave me. He was very professional and helpful. I would and have recommended Masterpiece Hardwood Flooring to anyone who is needing to have new flooring installed.
