You're our hero!! Moving from a condo to a first time home purchase made us a little nervous. We knew we needed to have an inspection done because we've heard all the horror stories out there about unexpected expenses people get when they move in. We researched a number of inspectors and finally selected Clearview Home Inspections. They responded quickly and answered all our questions to our satisfaction. Tom was very thorough and very knowledgeable. This is exactly what we wanted in our inspector. He did a great job and went out of his way to educate us on many aspects of the home (ie, adjusting the humidifier, changing furnace filters, shutting off the outside hose bib in the winter etc.) He was awesome and would definitely recommend.

A Wonderful inspection. Tom provided a very comprehensive inspection of my mother's older home including using the latest in technology. Tom provided guidance and suggestions throughout the inspection. Tom was very understanding of our concerns in regards to the house and provided his thoughts and recommendations while remaining objective and professional. I knew I wanted the most comprehensive inspection possible and contact Tom from Clearview to perform the home inspection with Infrared camera and air quality test. The overall process was thorough and professionally done. The report was emailed the same day and the lab results came in 2 days after that. I was happy with the service and would definitely recommend Clearview to anyone wanting a quality inspection.

After researching home inspection companies on HomeStars, and reading such positive reviews about Clearview Home Inspections, I know I wanted to give Clearview a call about my pre-sale/pre-listing home inspection. Tom took my call immediately, gave me different inspection options and the costs for the various services right over the phone, and once I decided, he fit me into his very busy weekend schedule. He arrived on a Sunday afternoon for the home inspection, when I only contacted him on that Saturday evening, the night before! He arrived on time as promised, was patient and respectful throughout, as I had a number of inspection-related questions about prepping my house for sale. He didn't even seem to mind us following him around, watching & accompanying him as he thoroughly checked out the interior and exterior of my main property, but also my detached garage. Not only did he do the pre-listing home inspection, but he also did the Infrared (IR) Home Scan. I was very impressed at how thorough Tom was and how easy it was to understand the main items he noted in my 58 page inspection report. It included lots of helpful explanations of the issues, with photos of my property items to repair along with sample images & instructions for correcting the problems. I am currently working my way through his recommendations, as I am renovating/updating a 60 year old bungalow, but I found his advice and feedback meaningful and helpful so that I could confidently repair, list and sell my property. When a home buyer sends in their home inspector as a condition of sale, I will know that I have already attended to the issues. Tom, thanks again for your timely responsiveness to not just attending to my property for the inspection, but for providing such a thorough report so quickly. On my next home purchase, I already know who to call before I sign a deal. As a regular user of companies listed and reviewed on HomeStars, I was very pleased with Tom's service and would happily recommend ClearView Home Inspections.

We could not have made a better choice in hiring Clearview. Not only was this a great value for our money, but we actually had two inspectors go through the home. They were professional, personable, very knowledgeable and most importantly honest. Sometimes the truth is hard to hear when you think you've found the house you've been looking for, but did they ever save us from a real money pit. From start to finish they explained the process, encouraged us to ask questions (and yes even "silly question") and provided a real education on the house, house maintenance and things to look out for. They were thorough in their answers to our questions and encouraged us shadowing them throughout the home. We will definitely be calling Clearview back when we have found another potential home to call our own in the next few months. Having peace of mind is priceless. This is the second time I've used Tom's services for a home inspection and just as the first time, it was top notch! Tom helped us make a tough call on the first home we conditionally purchased, which we walked away from, after calculating the cost & effort involved in fixing the existing problems. Without Tom's expertise and explanation in laymen terms, we would have been stuck with a property that simply needed too much work, money and effort. With the second home that we recently officially purchased, we knew it was the right home after Tom had inspected it and found no major issues. In terms of the type of inspection, I would highly recommend the infrared camera as its worth the cost since it will show you any structural or insulation problems. The inspection report is also very useful, with pictures and diagrams. It allows you to gain a lot of knowledge in the proper construction of home. We also received a repeat- customer discount for the second home inspection, which is a sign that Tom values his clients. Tom is an inspector and person that you can trust; he is extremely honest, patient and kind. I can honestly say I haven't met a nicer person in this business. In one instance, I was truly amazed at how elegantly and professionally Tom handled a situation with our previous agent, who was completely crazy. I did use Home Stars to search for a home inspector and glad I did, as it allowed me to find Tom, who responded in a timely manner. He truly provided me the confidence in having him inspect my house. Tom provided his expertise in thoroughly examining all rooms. His patience in explaining the care and maintenance was greatly appreciated. Tom did a great job inspecting our home. Since this was an older house, we decided to select the more comprehensive package. This was excellent value and will go along way in helping us prioritize the improvements we need to make to this house.
