    Fixed leaking pipe

    I called three plumbing companies and this was the only one where I actually talked to a real person. The plumber was very plesant. He spelled out exactly what he was going to do and he didn't talk down to me just because I'm a woman. I would recommend this company to anyone.

    drainage pipe cleaning

    I needed a pipe cleaned out and another section of it relpaced and they came in and did a great job. Although a little bit slow and the workers enjoyed their breaks, they got the job done effectively and I was throughly satisfied with it

    Shower Spout

    NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE!!!!!!! I took the afternoon off twice for them; it took 3 days for someone to show up, to check my spout in the shower. When he finally showed up, he took the spout off said it looks good put it back on then charged me 197.00 I didn’t even get my free estimate as promised on there web site…he told me I was getting a deal and that he took off 50.00…I called the company back spoke with the owner Barry M..who at first told me he would do nothing, he actually was yelling at me and he hung up and told me to never call back again…I called back to get his last name, I wanted to report them to the better business bureau, he finally told me he would credit me back my money and never contact him again….It’s been 3 weeks and I still haven’t received my money, I call and told It would be done however they seem to ignore me…I guess they find it easy to intimate woman and make us feel stupid…I have never deal with a COMPANY or individual like that in my life…The guy was here for 30 mins and I got charge 197.00 for nothing. They don’t even follow there only policy…which clearly states you will receive a free estimate before any work is done… I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone….

    Rooter-Man responded to this call in a timely fashion. Our response to this complaint is as follows: “WHEN HE FINALLY SHOWED UP, HE TOOK THE SPOUT OFF AND SAID IT LOOKED GOOD AND PUT IT BACK ON AND CHARGED ME $197.00” This statement is incorrect. We went to the homeowner’s residence, took the spout off, told her it was broken, and went to the truck to get a new spout. We then informed the customer it was going to be $175 + HST to rectify the problem. The customer AGREED to the price; the plumber spent 30 to 40 minutes performing the job as the customer stood by his side and watched. The customer then paid the full amount, and when the plumber left there was no issue reported. The next day, the customer called and demanded her money back because she didn’t receive a “Free Estimate” before the work began. There was no need for a Free Estimate, as the problem was identified and the price was provided and agreed upon prior to the work commencing. The cost of the tub spout part was approximately $50. “I CALLED THE COMPANY AND SPOKE TO THE OWNER BARRY…” When she spoke to the owner, he explained repeatedly that it was not a Free Estimate because she went through with the work and we fixed her issue that the “Free Estimate” did not factor into the equation. The customer made numerous THREATS to disparage the name of the company online, and the owner agreed to give her a full refund of $197.00. Upon accepting the refund, the owner told the customer never to call us again and that we do not want her business. In conclusion, we gave her a full refund, completed the work to her satisfaction, provided a new part, and provided a licensed plumber to do the work. We do not understand what this customer is talking about, and it is clear that all she wants is FREE WORK done in her house. At Rooter-Man we guarantee all of our work and 100% customer satisfaction.     Water Pressure Shortage in Multi-Use Building

    Tenants were reporting a loss of water on a older building with an office on the bottom floor. The man from Rooter-Man arrived in a very timely fashion on Family Day and diagnosed a potential fix to the problem. He was professional and knowledgeable and gave advice on dealing with the City to get the water turned off in order to replace the connection valve between the building and the city. After replacing the valve, the water in the building has never been better. If that did not fix the problem, he was ready to come back but it turned out that it did fix the issue so the crisis has be solved. Thanks Rooter-Man Bill.

    house main drain clog clear

    My house main drain clogged, and backup everything I flushed, very disgusting. I call the Richmond Hill service number around 18:00, and got response that a technician will show up in 1 hour. I called after 2 hours asking why no one showed up, and turned out my address got mixed up in phone call, the guy, Bill, showed up in half hour after everything corrected. I'd still give it a prompt response for an emergency call. :) After free estimation, which took only about 5 minutes, I got quoted $400, higher then I expected, but after Bill showed me my main drain problem (after I signed the work paper, I gambled in the company's favor), I was happy what I'm paying for: I got a clog 54 feet away the clear out, and also had a sagged pipe line which may cause future problem, but it is city's problem. It took Bill less than a hour to clear the clog, and I saw the result in the camera, very nice. Glad had a pro well equipped did the job. :) The only thing that I took 1 mark out is that there is no warranty for the job done. Although I understood anything can end up in the sewer, but I think the company can do better than that. Will recommend to friends. :)

    Clogged sewage drain video inspection and clearing

    On November 29, 2011 we had a partial flooding situation in our basement. Things seemed to be under control, so I initially accepted an appointment two days ahead with another company. When, in the mid afternoon, the situation changed for the worse (it rained all day and apparently that intensified the problem) we called Rooter-Man and asked how soon they can dispatch a drain pro to fix the issue. We were glad to hear that within two hours a certified plumber will pay a visit to our home. We requested a quote over the telephone after describing the problem. The quote was verified by Lisa, the friendly receptionist, with a pro who was in the field. It came to $150 plus tax. We agreed and waited for the plumber to arrive. At 4:30, 90 minutes later, Peter Patelis arrived. He first went to the basement for a preliminary inspection, then brought his camera and snake equipment. All the while explaining to us the various issues at hand and answering our questions, he proceeded to work. In less than 30 minutes the clog was dislodged (tree root penetrating clay drain pipe beneath basement floor) while we all coud see the result and the surrounding pipe area on the video monitor. He advised us that this is a temporary fix and that in order to obtain a permanent solution we will have to commit to excavating the concrete floor and have the section of damaged pipe replaced. After completing the job, Peter wrote his invoice and also supplied a written quote for the permanent solution. Very professional demeanor, very quick and good job. Very good price too, especially when compared with 3 other quotes from similar companies in the area. We definitely recommend Rooter-Man and when we are ready for the permanent solution we'll stick with them. Way to go Rooter-Man! We give them a 10, (very satisfied) however I do not see this option on the form. The max is 5, although the "Total Rating" area says it's "out of 10". I hope that our very good experience will indeed translate into a 10 mark, not a 5. Very pleased and satisfied by both the prompt arrival and the job well done.

    Clogged Sink in the Basement

    I would like to express my gratiitude to Rooter-Man Plumbers for a job well-done. On October 6th, Rooter-Man came to my home and addressed a kitchen sink clog I was experiencing in my In-Law suite in the basement. As it turned out, the kitchen sink clog was a symptom of a greater drain problem. The plumber, Rick, explained that the kitchen sink was clogging and backing up in the shower because the main drain was blocked. He cleared my kitchen sink and gave me another quote to fix the drain line. This is work I have not moved forward with yet, but I will definitely use Rooter-Man if I decide to go forward with it in the future. Once again, a job well-done.     Unclogged Toilet in my Business

    The Rooter-Man come to my business and unclogged the toilet in the basement stock area. I would like to thank them for good job. The plumber gave great value by giving coupons and fixing the toilet fast. I would strongly advise that others consider the Rooter-Man when they have plumbing problem. MITCH YEE

    Dishwasher Replacement

    I called this company to come and remove my old dishwasher and then install a dishwasher I was having delivered. Their plumber Bill did a good job of setting everything up. What impressed me was that he stayed around to make sure everything was hooked up properly. Very impressed with the service. Thank you, Betty.

    plumbing service

    I recently hired Rooter-Man to come to my house and fix a problem with one of the toilets in my house - this was a very old toilet so we decided it would be more beneficial to change the toilet. I really liked that the plumber was professional, knowledgable and respectful of the fact that one of my children was ill in bed with a high fever and resting! The job was done quickly and at a great price. We would certainly use Rooter-Man again and highly recomend them to anyone with a plumbing problem! -marianne
