    Air Testing

    I have recently purchased an older home in Hamilton and had some concerns around air quality related to asbestos. Angelina from Healthy Abode came in to take air samples and provided a lot of great information on the subject of asbestos. Angelina was professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I have no hesitation in recommending her services and would hire again in future.

    Environmental Assessment Services

    We were extremely pleased with the level of service offered by The Healthy Abode. Angie was very knowledgeable, professional, prompt and honest. Her guidance has been invaluable as we navigated unknown territory.

    Asbestos Testing

    I contacted The Healthy Abode, among other companies, for a quote on what it would cost to test my home for asbestos. I am very glad that we chose to go with The Healthy Abode. Angelina from THA got back to me in a very timely manner, with a reasonably-priced estimate, and was friendly and knowledgeable about the issues. She came out to my home for the test, and even did a couple of extra samples at no charge so that we could get a fuller idea of what was in our home. She was extremely thorough, even checking out areas of the home that I hadn't thought of. When the lab results came back confirming that there was asbestos in our stucco ceiling, she gave us advice as to possible solutions, and referrals to appropriate companies to help us resolve the issue. I would heartily recommend Angelina and The Healthy Abode to anyone who has concerns about their home environment and its effects on their family's safety. The company is prompt, reliable, affordable, and, should the results indicate a need, they are more than willing to walk you through the next steps.

    Asbestos testing and inspection

    We hired Angelina a few months ago to take three samples of our ceiling popcorn stucco for asbestos testing. She was very flexible and courteous (my fault for changing the appointment last minute too - sorry!). She came with an assistant and the two of them also walked us through the house, top to bottom, to inspect it for asbestos and mold while explaining to us the different types of asbestos and what to look for. Despite having to courier the samples to the US for testing, we received the written report within a couple days (no asbestos - YAY!). Angelina runs a top notch company and is a pleasure to deal with. I recommend her without reservation.

    Mold Testing

    We were worried that we might have mold in our basement apartment, so after some help from the Homestars site, we contacted The Healthy Abode to do the testing. We were so pleased with the service! Angelina was prompt, courteous and immediately put our minds at ease. In addition to the air testing, Angelina did a great inspection of the house, making useful recommendations as she went. As it turned out, we did not have a mold problem after all. But we learned so much from Angelina, and the professional lab report was delivered so fast, we are delighted that we found Angelina and Healthy Abode.

    Asbestos testing

    In between buying and selling old homes in toronto which both contained potential asbestos Angelina was prompt to reply to my call and made herself available and flexible to accommodate our schedule between sales. She was quick, efficient, friendly, knowledgable and honest about the testing process and action required. In addition to testing the areas specified but did a full walk through for other potential hazards as well. We would highly recommend her and wouldn't hesitate to call her in the future.

    testing for asbestos and lead

    My husband and I uncovered the house's original ceiling which was crumbling and my contractor suggested it could contain asbestos and lead. We have two small children so making sure the air quality was safe was very important. I came across Healthy Abode online and read many positive reviews that seemed genuine and now I can add my own recommendation to the others. Angelina is professional, thorough and clearly cares about her clients. I wish there were more like her in the world of house repair services.

    Asbestos testing

    I would highly recommend Healthy Abode for a number of reasons but the main ones would be that the process is transparent from outset in that Angelina gives you a price and sticks to it even when she sees something extra that probably should be checked too (and does at no extra expense!). The turnaround is amazing as I had my results within 24 hours which is more than impressive. Thank you Angelina.

    Mold Check/Tests

    I called several companies before I found The Healthy Abode. The one thing I like about this company is the promptness in response and scheduling of visit without a fuss. The owner, Angelina who tested the air for us, is an amazing and full of energy individual. She's very friendly and accommodating. Plus the fact that her test results and reports are given to you the next day, unlike the other companies that you have to wait for 5 to 7 stressful days, whether you're safe or not with the air that you're breathing inside the house. Most of all her price is not ridiculously high like the other companies. Yes, of course, I will definitely recommend her to anyone who needs this service, in fact, I already recommended her to my friends.

    Asbestos Testing

    Angelina came in to test some popcorn ceiling for asbestos. She was in and out fast and had the tests back the next day. She also gave me a folder with all everything i needed to know about the testing, procedures, extra contact cards etc. etc. A well put together package. I wouldn't hesitate to use her services again or recommend her to others. (She's also really pleasant and pretty funny!)
