    fix a dishwasher

The serviceman was very careful and did not leave a "mess" for me to clean up. He did clean any spillage. He explained to me what was wrong, what he had done to fix the problem, and best practices to maintain the dishwasher.

    Answer from pro:

    Cleaning Drryer

There wa a suspicious burning smell coming from my dryer and Service 4 Appliances sent two men who quickly dissembled it and removed a huge blanket of lint. They were quick, fast and clean; they were also upfront and warned that the wires may have burned, but they were honest and only advised that the machine needed to be clears of lint

    Fixing noise from Frigidare washer.

The Tec, came and diagnose the problem- 80$ He said that shock absorbers should be changed and price will be over 500CAD. I asked him if the rest of washing machine parts are fine, because I can buy used one for repair price. He promised that the rest of parts are in perfect condition. The unit newer worked, making even more sounds then before, plus not dripping water at all. Called several times to "customer service", have conversation with supervisor Alona, rude conversation. Only one option was indicated- another service visit for extra payment. Avoid this company, they are tiffs. How they still in business that's the question.

    Repair lower oven

Simple replacement of a fuse in my lower oven cost me $420!! AND they left my upper oven not working which had been working prior. They would not come back to fix it even though it had been working before they came. Called another company next day and they found a wire pulled out and touching the metal frame of the oven. Very dangerous. Could have caused fire. Service4Appliances said I would have to pay to have them come back as it was unrelated to the lower oven!!! They broke it!! DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!! They are unprofessional, dishonest, do not honour warranty, did not even respond to the Better Business Bureau regarding my complaint. They do not care once they have your money. Also, they would not take payment by any form other than cash.... Hmmmmmm.

    Dryer Service

I paid $340 for service to my LG dryer which was not drying clothes properly. They took apart the dryer and said it was completely serviced. Now 3 months later it is not working again. They say they only warranty their service for 1 month! They were not willing to come back and even look at what the problem is without pre-charging me $80 for the service call. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY HAVE VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND OVERCHARGE WITHOUT ANY REGARD FOR THE SERVICE THEY PROVIDE.

Formal quote to repair LG fridge

Asked for a formal quote for a legal issue. Repairman said no problem, call the office in the morning. The office said that will be another service fee and refused to help. We were very clear about what we wanted before they came. Now they want to charge us for another service fee. Do not use this Service 4 Appliances.

$560 to repair a 5 year old fridge

Possibly the most dishonest company I came across. Company would not give me a quote over the phone except that it was $80 to come over and assess the problem. If I chose to proceed, it would go towards the assessment/repair. Technician (Roman) came over chatting about his personal life for the first 40 minutes while the fridge was warming up. The fridge was unplugged when he got here. In retrospect, I realize that he didn't need this time to warm up the fridge; it was to distract me from the total amount of time he actually needed to to fix the fridge. Then he quoted me $280 to test the components. This took 5-10 minutes. I am not sure how testing the components is different than the $80 assessment I was quoted over the phone? He then quoted me another $210 for the part (self starter for the compressor). It took him 2-3 minutes to install the part. When he left, he gave me the wrapping with the part so I can throw out. I looked up the part (self starter) online and the part goes for $10. I ended up paying $560 for 15 minutes of actual work and 40 minutes of unnecessary conversation. Need I say more. Also when I pressed him about his warrantee he hesitated and said 30 days. HA! UPDATE- Six weeks later, my fridge started to act up again making funny noises. When I called, I was met with a very unfriendly response by the receptionist. A few months later, my fridge died and I ended up buying a new fridge. When I first wrote this review it was over a year ago and it still bothers me that companies like these exist out there.

    fridge repair

The man was on time, very polite, explained the problem and how he would repair it. Very good service. He seemed to know the business of refrigerators very well. I would recommend him to others.

    Basic Stove Completely Dead

I bought my stove second-hand fairly recently and was very disappointed when it completely died. Not even the clock worked and the fuses were fine, so it was fairly clear that the problem was something electrical. Service4Appliances responded to my appointment request through their online form quickly, which was great. The coordinator was very professional and the technicians were punctual, pleasant and able to repair the stove the single call. I'll be happy to call them again.
