    REFRIGERATOR

I called this company to fix my fridge. The tech came and told me that if what he did didn't work, then someone else would come in and fix it. He was there for maybe an hour, charged me $350. The fridge didn't work. I called back again and again and never heard from anyone regarding fixing my fridge. I would not recommend this company. AT ALL!

    Washer

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY!!! They charged $316 for 30 minute labour service call. Service Guy left piece out of washer and the lady in customer service was so rude and was not able to help. If you call to complain they will only keep hanging up the phone. Save your self the hassle. I have lived and learned from this negative experience. I hope to save you the grief too.

    Dishwasher- Never call!

Diswasher leakage, technician charged $320 for fixing, he said he wanted to save our money and if it did not work, call them back after 12 hours to replace the valve. 24 hours later, turned it on, everything was the same. Called them back, they said the valve cost $460 (checked with Sears, no valve is higher than $10). Came to their office to make a claim but their addresses in the invoice and website are unreal, they were not there so I could not meet any body to talk to or to complain. Called another company (referred by friend), problem was not the valve, total cost for estimating, sparepart and replacing was only $160 in total. So stupid to spend $320 for Service4Appliances. They only want to make money and then disappear. Never call a company you don't know, always use referrals!

    Fridge Repair- NOT!

My LG fridge stopped cooling. I called and made an appointment with Service 4 Appliances. The technician arrived, diagnosed the problem and told me there would be a $280 labour charge and $165 for parts. I agreed to pay, as I was desperate. It took him about 20 minutes to repair the problem. Though I felt $280 for a half hours work was a bit much, I paid it no problem. About an hour after he left, I noticed water coming from under the fridge- he obviously had disturbed the water line when he was repairing the other problem. I called Service 4 Appliances several times, and kept getting the run around and very poor treatment from Susan in particular. Needless to say, they would not come and repair the problem they had clearly created. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

    washing machine

BEWARE! This company is nothing but a shake down... you get nothing for the $80 bucks they take off you for showing up and when they take another $200 off you for opening up your machine to say can't fix it... needs parts. OK it needs parts, but the parts they quote you are marked up over 100%!!! Do these people not know we can check this stuff out on the internet. My big mistake was being in a hurry and not checking out these people first. The BBB gives them an F.

    Maytag dishwasher door latch

The latch on our dishwasher was broken. Even though it worked fine, we had to prop the door closed. The serviceman said a new sensor would come with the latch and it would cost us about $250. We decided to get it since the machine was not very old. When he returned and installed it, the dishwasher would only work on one setting. Now he told us we needed as new touchpad at over $300. No way. By the next day the dishwasher had quit completely. We got no satisfaction from the company via e-mail or phone call. So much for telling you up front how much it would cost.

    Viking Stove Repair

My Viking Range's self cleaning oven door lock was not engaging so I called Service 4 Appliances based on their rating in the HomeStars forum. I specifically asked if they serviced Viking which the company representative said that they did, "all the time". I told them what the problem was and they said they would send someone out on Sat. between 1 and 4 pm. The repair person arrived at 5:05 pm (1+ hour late). I told him what the problem was and he proceeded to try to open the front panel on the range. We should have stopped him then as it was very obvious that he did not know what he was doing. He took the top of the range apart, tested the lock mechanism, said it was fine then took 45 minutes putting it back together. My husband had to step in as he stripped a small screw trying to put it in with a power driver. He put the knobs on incorrectly (too tight, would not turn) and broke the inside of one so that it would not stay on. We paid the $300 bill, and signed the invoice...stupid us, we should have read the fine print at the bottom which said we were also verfying that the appliance was put back together properly and clearing them of any responsibility for damage. When I went to clean the oven overnight, the lock was still not working! I called Service 4 Appliances to make them aware of all the issues and all they said was I shouldn't have let him continue to work on it once I saw he was inept (they admitted that he was fairly new) and that the only thing they could do was order the part and I would not be charged labour to put it in. Do I want one of their service people back in my home?...I think not! Was smarter the next time...called the manufacturer and got a referral. They would not even come out until they had the door lock part as to do otherwise "would be a waste of everyone's time" as this is apparently a common issue. Carpe Diem

    washer repair

Paid $300 for nothing. First guy misdiagnosed problem, Charged me $300. Second guy gave me a new diagnosis for the problem, was honest an said the parts and service were very costly, and I should just get a new washer. Ended up paying an extra $200 for first call because the first guy got the problem wrong.
