    Rip-off 4 Customers

If you read this, I have just saved you hundreds of dollars and a lot of aggravation. I got burnt like the other 150 people here. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. $80 for diagnostic? Technician is supposed to tell you what's wrong with your appliance what has to be replaced and how much it will cost you (labour + parts). Instead he said nothing that I did not know already. Got 0 value for $80. I am sure that he knew what the problem was. Since I had no choice, I let him fix the appliance which cost me $600. A $30-$40 part was marked up to $200. The rest is labour rate. They are a bunch of ... artists. Stay away from them!

    cooktop 4 repair rip-off

Don't be fooled by this company! Here's what happened to me. I found out too late that Service 4 Appliances is rated as an F by Better Business Bureau. It has a RED ALERT posting online to warn potential customers. Do review BBB's official website. There are 90 unresolved registered complaints (more each day) against this company. Here's mine. I paid Mike, the technician, $327.70 with promise of a cooktop repair. He stated it was prepayment for labour of a part to be installed. I trusted him. He left for the part, and never returned. Why then, did he and Clarinda, the dispatcher, make false claims to me that parts were available to them and they would be able to fix the problem? Mike did NOT repair my cooktop as promised. Both misled me. None of my money was returned. Another company completed the job professionally in one visit with parts from the manufacturer on hand. Lesson learned: Service 4 Appliances cannot be trusted. ALWAYS CHECK WITH BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU FIRST!

    Service4Appliances

STAY AWAY!!!!! They wanted to charge $640 to repair a microwave that costs only $650 brand new!! They charged $220 for the $80 call out, wanted $330 for a new magnetron (which I found online for $89) plus another $120 installation fee. The lady who takes the calls is extremely rude and unhelpful. STAY AWAY!!!

    service

I had a service call in January 2013 on my freezer. Was charged almost $500 to fix. I understand i should have called to have them come out again but life happened (death in family, babies being born...) the ice maker which was supposed to be fixed in january was never fixed. Service tech wanted another $ 280 to fix what i already paid $500 in January!!! i called to see if they can do anything about it and was treated with no respect and found the service lady to be rude. I wont be doing business with them again!!!

    Whirlpool Fridge Repair

Their service is a rip off do not use this company! The Service4Appliances technician ran some standard tests (cost of $280.00) and then tried to sell me a 3rd party part (additional cost of $165.00) that he thought would fix the fridge, instead of the original Whirlpool part (cost of $65.00). I declined this option and after some intensive research I learned that these 3rd party parts can be purchased online for approximately $45.00 but are not recommended for use in any fridge! Further to that he would not guarantee that the part he suggested to be replaced would even fix the fridge and stated, "it may be a short in the compressor". I called the customer service department to voice my concern and was told flat out that they stand behind their service technicians and would do nothing for me. So after spending over $300 dollars for what amounted to a 1 hour service call my fridge is still not repaired. Also don't be sucked in by their marketing ploy of waving the $80.00 inspection fee if you have them repair your appliance. From my experience it is a hook to get you to have them try to service your appliance at a rate of $280/hr and not provide any customer satisfaction.

    Fridge/Freezer Repair

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE – WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AND WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN … After reading some of the posts on this website, I feel lucky that I only lost $90 to these people. Last December the bottom-mount freezer compartment of my fridge started leaking. I called this company and the technician was prompt and courteous. He pulled it apart and found a piece of paper blocking the drain. Now, six months later, it is plugged again - so I called them again to see if there was something else wrong. This technician was incompetent - I told him about what was done the last time and he told me that was irrelevant. He pulled the fridge out, removed the back, did some electrical tests and said the compressor was dead. I told him I had turned off the dial in the freezer compartment that morning to start melting some of the ice and I asked if this was pertinent. He told me it wasn’t and the compressor should still turn on for the fridge. He told me the compressor service would be $280 plus parts. I told him to forget it and I will replace the fridge (it is a Jenn-Air – I thought they are supposed to be quality). My gut feeling was to get him out of the house and call someone else. Once he left, I turned the freezer dial and the compressor started!!!!! I did what I remembered the last technician doing (basically taking apart the whole freezer compartment). After clearing the ice and using a hair dryer to melt the rest of it, everything is running perfectly. I phoned their customer service today and they were no help. She told me the $90 service charge is non-refundable. She said I could complain to their service manager but all he may do is tell his technicians to listen more to their customers – DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STAY AWAY

    washing machine

AWFUL !!! STAY FAR AWAY !! This company quickly sent a repairman to my home and accepted $316 to pay for doing nothing. He left and the problem persisted. I called customer service and advised to fill out a form on line a would receive a call back in 48hrs. I filled out the form and waited. No call ! called and received the run-around. I was told the head technician needed to review the case. I asked for the names of the technician and the owner or a supervisor and was told NO. After 9 days the same person in customer service advised they do not refund labor costs and to write email. I paid $316 for NOTHING !!! Never so frustrated with a company. Within one day they were at my home to accept money. When there was an issue it took 9 days for them to deny any refund. UNACCEPTABLE. I will be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau.

    Wasing machine repair

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!! It seems the company is being run by bunch of people only! STAY AWAY.. the technicians are incompetent and their customer service is terrible! To top it all their accounting department ( it seems all are just 1 person) is pathetic! They could not fix the washing machine, the technician kept on changing the problem reasons and charged me #$350 and then when I ordered the part to be replaced, it didn't arrive even in 2 weeks. I cancelled the order and had ti pay the stocking fees( stocking fees for parts not in stock) . The refund hasn't arrived yet - been three weeks and when I call for refund - they don't know when the cheque was sent out and when will i get it. Their is no-one in accounting department, when i tried to escalate the CSC says " I am the manager , SIR" and wont listen and kept on shouting " the cheque was cut, the cheque was cut" . Again , stay away and you will be doing yourself a lot of good!! Don't bother calling them , let them run out of business which i guess anyways they will!!

    Washing Machine Repair

Terrible. Paid way over market rates, and for nothing. Don't waste your money. Terrible customer service, terrible repairs. The service person was here for less than 30 minutes, seemed very uncertain about what he was doing. Claimed the machine was fixed, charged us over $300 and it is not only not fixed but is now unusable.
