    Asbestos testing

    We are a General Contractor and this is the second time we used the Mold Guy services. Once at the Cocal-Cola plant and just recently at the closed Campbell’s plant. Both projects we had engineered reports on hazard materials by others that left us suspect of certain areas. Mold Guys prompt service, quick results have allowed us to continue or projects on time and most importantly safely. In less than 48 hours we had results. Thanks Mold Guy!

    Clean, Fast, Easy to Deal With

    Getting our house ready to sell and we found some mold in the attic. The Mold Guy was easy to schedule and so clean. Couldn’t even detect they were there. I highly recommend.

    Mold removal

    Such a pleasure to work with everyone associated with this company. Kay in the office and the 2 workers who were so pleasant and did a great job. I recommend them highly.

    Mold Guy - for the win!

    These folks were the best! From the office staff, to the very kind and thorough assessment m, all the way to the removal. The team was kind, helpful and extremely professional. They not only treated the area (which was COVERED In mold) but gave us pointers on how to keep it from coming back. If you are in the unfortunate situation of having mold, you want these folks on your side. Would for sure use them again.

    Great Service

    From the initial inspection to the removal service, I was very happy. The problem was located and the inspector took the time to explain to me exactly what the process would be, as well as offering me some things to consider moving forward. The team that came for the removal were on time, pleasant, worked fast to complete the job, and walked me through everything that was done upon completion. Overall, I was very satisfied with the level of professionalism and would definitely recommend.

    Cold Room (mold) and crawl space cleanup

    to our surprise we had mold in our basement cold room (cantina), and a musty smell permeating from our basement crawl space. We needed this situation rectified asap, the mold was a health concern and the musty smell in the house was getting to be quite overwhelming - we called The Mold Guys on a Monday, and they took care of this issue in one-day, the Thursday of the same week, they did a tremendous job in relatively short time to resolve this issue for us - we are so grateful to Justin and his team! they were professional and considerate all around, we have our house back - clear and free of mold and smell!

    Attic Remediation

    We discovered that our bathroom vents were not working appropriately and that the steam from our showers was not venting properly out of the attic. There was black mould on the sheathing and we wanted it dealt with immediately. The mould guy process from beginning to end was very quick, efficient, and the work was done very well.

    Basement mold remediation

    I found mold in a finished part of my basement 2 weeks ago. I found the Mold Guys based on their score here on Home Stars. I spoke to Kay, she was awesome and very understanding. My family is currently doing a very tight lock down due to Covid, and the Mold Guys crew are the only people who have been in our house since March. The diagnosis was that we needed to remove the ceiling, wall and floor of the impacted room at a minimum. The next day a crew was here with a dumpster. The crew was also very accommodating of our heightened concerns due to having people in our home. They sealed off the area of the house and took a lot of care in alleviating my concerns. They removed the moldy material, sanitized and cleaned the area. Found the source of the water, which caused the mold, and provided photos of the progress of the job. I highly recommend the Mold Guys.

    Mold Remediation

    The Mold Guy can remove mold but be very, very careful with their pricing. We discovered signs of mold in our basement and someone from the Mold Guy came out for a paid assessment. The assessment payment is credited to your job if you proceed which is fair. It was determined that we had some type of mold issue and we were told that it would take two days to fix so the job would cost $3600 (2 days X $1800/day) plus a bin so we signed up. The crew was great and easily finished the job in under 8 hours including training a new crew member over two days. I asked the crew lead about paying for two days when it only took one and he said that is just how it is since times jobs can go over the estimate. I spoke to their office about this and they have a scripted response saying they quote on a job basis and not an hourly basis (even though they build the price based on a daily rate). I suggested paying for 1.5 days vs. 2 when it took only one day seemed fair but they went back to the script. Other than the pricing the work was great but a mold problem can become emotional so be careful with their pricing. I can understand building in a contingency on a job for unforeseen problems but doubling the price seems excessive and unfair. Addendum: In response to The Mold Guy's Comments, my job price was based on a crew of 3 taking 2 days to remove in our Coldroom. The crew of 3 completed the job in 7.5 hours. The job was overestimated by 100% and I paid accordingly. Had they said "it will take us one day for the job but we'll charge you for two" I wouldn't have agreed. I suggested I pay for 1.5 days of work so in fact was willing to pay 50% more than the time spent at our house. Also, The Mold Guy says extra work was done at no additional cost. I wrote to them to clarify what this was and have not heard back. The Sales Rep did look for mold in other areas of the basement on the paid visit which took about 5-10 minutes. No other work was done so that is a complete fabrication.

We're not sure where you got the idea that you were billed for 2 days as we could have put 5 or 6 team members on the job and completed it in one day. We also completed other work at your request in other rooms which was not included in the quote and you weren't charged a dime more.
