The circuit breaker for my dryer stopped working and sadly, parts for my ancient electrical panel were no longer available. (Well, they can be purchased used from old homes but cost at least 10 times as much and if not, more! I kid you not! For example, I'm told that a new circuit breaker may cost around $25-35, but the one I need for my old clunker will sell for $300-400---this is almost 1/3 the cost of replacing the entire electrical panel!) Now I called Hot Electric, and over the phone, Martin listened to my problem. He asked me to take a picture of my electrical panel and send it to him as a text message. He confirmed that indeed it may be impossible to find a replacement part for it. He asked if he could come over to take a look, and also to give me a quote for an electrical panel replacement. He arrived on time, and after puzzling over the relic of an electrical panel, he found a simple, creative but safe solution!! And right then and there (and this is after his regular work hours at 8pm!!) he did his magic and saved me a lot of money as well. Now I have a working dryer and in the end, no need to change my electrical panel for now! Unbelievable-- so sincere and authentic, so knowledgeable and creative, so cheerful and professional, so caring, so passionate about his work. What also really impressed me is that he is an example of a modern Renaissance man--one who treats his female clients with respect, never condescending or sexist. I look forward to having his company work on my house for any future repairs or projects!! And I certainly will be very confident in recommending him to anyone who needs electrical work done. I wanted to get my tv mounted on my wall and all the wires hidden for one main reason: to make sure my daughter couldnt get to the wires, and that she could not shake the tv off of the stand. I needed to get this done in a timely manner and get it done right the first time. I called many places for estimates, but the one I trusted the most was Hot Electric. I thought that they would not take my small job but took it with open arms. I dealt directly with one of the owners (Martin) and he was propmt, curtious, trustworthy, reliable, honest and upfront with the estimate and gave a few recommandations that I hadn't even thought about. There were other companies out there that were cheaper, but I felt most comfortable with this company. His estimate was very detailed so nothing was a surprise. He came bright and early as promised, was very clean throughout the job, made sure I was completely satisfied with the work, everything was to code, and his clean up was immaculate. I will use this company for future electrical work on my home (small or big jobs), and will highly recommend to anyone. Keep up the great work!

The best experience I've ever had with a trade service. Not only did Martin come by on super short notice, but he got everything needed to fix the issue and finished everything within an hour. He was extremely informative and candid about everything he was doing. At the end he helped make sure everything was functioning correctly before he left-- went above and beyond his duty. I would definitely hire him again for any electrical needs.

I had a great experience with this company. Martin came round exactly on schedule both times, did some great work, gave me a very fair price and completed the work very promptly. We needed to run wire for a new induction range, after searching Home Stars web site for electricians we found Hot Electric being one of the most highly rated. Paul came to inspect the site to quote and he made several cleaver and important recommendations based on what we mention about future renovations. He offered to source all the material too. When we received the quote we saw it was fair compared against others we got. Paul brought some samples of the materials and parts he proposed and also they were best in quality and price compared whit what you can find at common home repairs retailers. We are very happy with all the job done so far by Paul his partners (Tristan and Martin) and the rest of the team, they were very professional, clean and easy to deal with. We also replace our old base board heaters with new cutting edge convection heaters proposed by Paul, we are very happy with this new equipment it is friendly with our kids (no more dry noses and over heating rooms). Paul proposals for exhaust fans were perfect, top notch equipments better priced than internet if you are able to find them. We for sure will use again Hot Electric and absolutely recommend them.
