I was informed by my furnace manufacturer that my furnace was under a safety recall notice. In one of their emails they provided the name of the HVAC firm in my area whom they had contracted to do the recall replacement part repair. That company was Martino HVAC (Concord). I emailed Martino one evening and the next morning I received a phone call from Chris, the Service Manager. He was very personable and helpful. He reassured me that the recall repair would be taken care of and that I had little to worry about in operating my furnace. He also explained what would be involved. He ordered a replacement part that same day. It was to be shipped to my house and he asked me to let him know when it arrived. Later that same day I received an email from Chris letting me know that the part had been ordered. A couple of days later the part arrived. I emailed the information to Chris who quickly got back to me offering me a couple of days when the repair could be done at my convenience. I chose one and I was given a three hour window when the technician would arrive. Scott, the technician, arrived about an hour into the window. Scott made the repair. While he was doing his work he explained what he was doing and why. He also gave me some advice about proper furnace filters.
A few hours after the repair was completed I received a follow-up email from Chris telling me that Scott had informed him that everything had gone well.
The whole process from when I contacted Martino HVAC until the recall repair was completed was less than two weeks. I was very impressed with Chris and his quick responses to my concerns and his arranging for the work to be completed. The technician, Scott, was very personable and skilled in his work. I was particularly impressed that the repair was followed up, something that rarely happens when service work of any kind is completed.
Based on my experience with Martino HVAC I would not hesitate to call them or recommend them to friends for either HVAC repairs or equipment replacement.
