    Excellent Stair Recapping

    Ideal Stairs did a great job recapping our staircases, which were in pretty rough shape. They were able to reinforce the stairs from the top to limit damage to the walls and ceilings. They were also able to refurbish the original trims and maintain the traditional stair look and feel that we wanted trying to preserve. They were able to get the job started a week early and finished in the exact number of days that they had told me upfront. Having had some pretty tough experiences with contractors over the past few years, Ideal Stairs was really a great company to have around and I would definitely recommend them for your project!

    revamp my spiral staircase and upper landing with hardwood floor

    I have never ever dealt with such an exceptional company as this before. All the employees were highly skilled to give me the finished product that I had envisioned. From start to finish I was amazed at the care to detail and their professionalism in dealing with their customers. Very courteous and excellent communication with the owners and an overall happy business relationship with all!!

    Stairs Recapping

    I hired Ideal Stairs to do the recapping of the stairs. Rajan and Mesh were very good to deal with and the installers did excellent work with attention to detail. I highly recommend Ideal Stairs to anyone planning to do any renovations to their stairs.

    Highly recommend

    Thank you Sayanthan and Thavam for your excellent work - we are very pleased with our stairs! Our old and unsafe railing was removed efficiently and replaced with a beautiful and solid custom wood railing. The stairs were crafted meticulously and I was very much impressed with the work performed. The staff was polite, well communicating with one another, respectful of our space (even with 2 dogs) and maintained a tidy and organized workspace at all time. Very happy with the staining and the stair appearance, it's a perfect match with the existing flooring in place. Highly recommend!

    Highly recommended: staircase renovation

    I had Ideal Stairs update our staircase by restaining the treads and risers and installing new posts and spindles. The staining and trimwork was excellent. I am installing new flooring upstairs and they matched the colour and set the nosing perfectly. It made my job so much easier, I am definitely glad I hired them. Mesh called me everyday to let me know what was happening and when they would be onsite. We are very happy with the work the result is exactly what we were looking for.

    Extraordinary Work by Skilled Craftsmen

    We are so grateful that we found Ideal Stairs to remove the original carpeting from two curved staircases as well as the upstairs hallway, and provide us with an amazing hardwood transformation! Working with Mesh, Rajan and the entire installation team has been an absolute pleasure. We requested traditional, all-wood staircases and they delivered a grand entrance -- with custom staining to match existing hardwood on the main floor. We were most impressed by the precision of joint cuts, custom nosing, beveling, accurate staining, and the overall level of detail. There are many facets to building new stairs and creating custom nosing and steps with templates. Each of their team members are highly skilled craftsmen, who deliver superior results. This entire job was completed in two weeks, due to the hard-working team who worked 6 days a week. At the end of each day, they swept, vacuumed and neatly assembled their supplies. They take pride in their work, as evidenced by the results. I also appreciated the daily morning phone call from Rajan to let me know that the team was on their way, to answer any questions that I had, and to update me on what to expect next. This was one of the best home improvement jobs we have ever done, and a seamless experience with a contractor. Not only did Ideal Stairs deliver what they promised in providing us with a beautiful staircase transformation, but they exceeded our expectations!

    Complete staircase overhaul

    Rajan and the entire team are absolute craftsmen. I had my curved staircase completely redone including carpet removal, new hardwood, new spindles, handrail sanding and staining. They even got rid of the squeaks in all the stairs that have been driving me crazy for 20 years. The custom stain color they created to match my vinyl plank flooring looks stunning. Each day they took care to ensure the workspace was cleaned both inside the house and outside. They paid attention to every detail. I would highly recommend Ideal Stairs.

    Carpet to hardwood

    The Ideal Stairs team did a fantastic job, installing new hardwood stairs on our staircase. The management team was on top of communication to let us know when the team would be arriving and what they would be doing each day. The installation team were diligent professionals. They prepped with drop sheets to avoid sawdust getting everywhere and cleaned up each day. We removed the carpet ourselves and kept the original handrail. The stairs match the touched up handrail very well. We are so pleased with the results! An added bonus we discovered was more creaky stairs! We definitely recommend Ideal Stairs for price, service, and value.

    Stair staining , pickets and flooring
