On July 8th, 2019 I purchase and 8 by 10 foot shed from Summerwood Products, Scarborough for the amount of $12,803.74 with a 2 year warranty, installed August 28th, 2019. Summer of 2021, last year of the warranty, I was housebound due to an injury. Summer 2022, I entered the shed and was shocked at the amount of water damage there was in the shed. The floor, the door and all horizontal boards from the roof line down. None of the corners, window frames and door frames were sealed. Sunlight was visible through most of the horizontal boards and knot holes. I contacted the company July 11th, 2022 and eventually dealt with the President/CEO of the company. He insisted that I had an automatic sprinkler system on my property which was causing the problem. I do not. Sheds are purchased to store and protect items and the fact that it leaks as much as it does is very disappointing. But more so, even though the warranty was past, the president of the company did not address the problem and stand behind his product. The theory is that the cedar was not seasoned and over a period of 2 years dried after installation and shrunk creating gaps large enough that the sunlight was visible through the horizontal boards allowing rainwater to enter the building. I asked about quality control but received no answer. The theory on the cracked window, it fit snuggly in the frame and as the shed settled it put pressure on the glass and it cracked. The CEO offered to replace the window for $490.00. I declined, he did advise me however to go to any local hardware store, purchase caulking and have it installed between the pieces of siding. Eventually, after 37 e-mails and 10 months an employee came to my property and sealed all horizontal boards, windows, etc. in May 2023. Rainwater was still entering the building and puddling on the floor. I hired a handy man who noticed the threshold board under the door slanted to the interior of the shed. He shimmed it up and problem solved. If you wish to purchase from this company, I encourage you to negotiate a 3 year contract, the amount of time unseasoned wood takes to dry out.

We ordered a preassembled 8 x 12 Vera a shed last fall for delivery this May. My neighbour who is a contractor and I worked on it over the summer. We followed the building plans to the best of our ability. We did have to call the technical help desk on a couple of occasions for clarification and they were very helpful. We did run into a situation when we nailed all the strapping to the walls only to discover after that they were too thick. I called to let them know and they immediately sent a couple of workers with the correct strapping and they removed the wrong ones. Overall we are very satisfied with the quality of the product. We received many complements!

These folks did a shed for us 3 years ago, nothing but absolutely amazing. So easy, and super easy. The biggest criteria was no mess, no cleanup, and gone in a day litteraly.

Summerwood installed a Catalina shed for me almost 15 years ago. Over time due to weather the window flower boxes broke. I called to inquire about the replacement cost and was told to stop by and they would replace them free of charge. I was so pleasantly surprised. Would recommend Summerwood without hesitation. They also replaced the 4 window shutters free of charge. Wow !

We chose the Summerwood Urban Loft, as we wanted a shed that was attractive and could be part of a landscape design. Visiting the showroom and placing the order was easy and fast...a few hiccoughs on delivery, but only slipped by a week. Everything came well packaged and was assembled in a day. A great piece of advice from Summerwood (which we followed) was to make sure that the concrete pad is exactly the size of the shed footprint. Now we have a great looking shed that could be a summer office.

More than pleased with our Summerwood garden shed! The planning and design phase was painless, and a couple trips to the showroom was helpful for finalizing our colour selection. After a few delays in the spring related to production, and weather conditions, the shed was assembled by Summerwood installers. They truly did an excellent job, and we couldn't be happier with the end product. Have received many compliments throughout the summer, and definitely recommend Summerwood products to friends and family.

A little apprehensive to pay that much for a garage but boy, it was worth it. Top quality lumber, windows and doors. Great crew, great staff at Summerwood. All round great experience. Brian Cleary Scarborough

From the quality of the product to the customer service, I am extremely happy with the result. I only needed some clarification on some of the instructions but if your somewhat handy you can easily build this yourself with help from someone else

Summerwood was an excellent company which planned and built our beautiful garden shed. Starting with John and Peter, the whole staff were very professional and helped us choose and build this addition to our backyard. Excellent customer service, quality products, and amazing craftsmanship. You can see it for yourself! Strongly recommend!

Purchased ,our Cabana June 1999. still looks has Beautiful. has the day it was installed. So many Complements. Our flower boxes, were do to be replaced. Called and spoke too John Hickey. Went in too purchase, new Box`s was very surprised, to see a company, too stand by there, Product. John gave me the two window boxes free. We would highly, Recommend this ,company.
