    Concrete basement

    Made good on most of their promises initially. Good trouble shooting and problem solving abilities. They were able to complete to job quickly and came back to resolve small issues in a timely manner however once they received the full payment the did not return calls and promised to bring additional promotional materials but did not. The concrete did crack in multiple spots upon drying which I was told is likely to happen however they offered no advice or assistance and explained that it is not their field. There were some inconsistencies which I expected in an old building so I'd have to rate service as okay but falls short of great. I ended up contacting another concrete company that fixed everything for incredibly cheap.

    Garage Foundation

    Dion and Jamie were great, helped me navigate inspectors and options when issues came up, and were quick to deliver when it came time to do the job. Would definitely recommend again.

We were originally planning to underpin the neighbors garage in order to complete the excavation- but due to some circumstances that came up we found a more efficient alternative (Helical Piles).     Basement excavation

    The work was completed on time and on budget. I was very comforted and felt in good hands. Dion was exceptionally patient and professional with a difficult neighbour.

    New Home Construction - Drains, Radiant Heated Floors

    RockBottom did a great job with our new home builds, installed all of the basement drains & connections. The heated flooring throughout, RockBottom ran all of the pipes to all 3 floors, installed the manifolds and concrete to encase everything. And concrete front steps. What a great job! It was done professionally, quickly and efficiently, couldn't have asked for more. Great job!!!

    New basement walkout, new concrete porch, stone steps, interlock and retaining wall

    Dion was referred to me by my structural engineer, so I knew to expect quality work from a professional. It was a big job that included excavating the front yard, constructing a new basement walkout, new front porch, stone steps, interlocking walkways and a retaining wall. Dion provided a detailed and competitive estimate for each major part of the project, and the final price was exactly in line with that. He was always available before, during and after the project was completed, for any questions or assistance needed. The team working on the project (Sergio, Joaquin and Frank) worked well together. They were very meticulous and precise especially with cutting and fitting the stones, and ensuring the grade was appropriately sloped, and both sides of the walkout walls exactly level (to the pleasant surprise of my mason guy, who came later to do brick tuck-pointing on the front facade of my house). We get a lot of pedestrian traffic in front of our house, and there were numerous comments on how great a job Dion's crew did. A number also requested business cards for their various projects. Needless to say, we are very pleased with the end result and definitely recommend Dion and his RockBottom Underpinning team.

    basement underpin

    I purposely didn't review the underpin performed by Rock Bottom Underpinning as soon as they were finished because I wanted to let some time pass to see if any problems were going to present themselves. Well, it's been 3 years since the job was done and I'm very happy to report that everything's just great. There have been no issues with the new foundation (below a 100 year-old original brick foundation) or any of the infrastructure, which includes a radiant heated concrete slab. Drains are fine and floor's perfect - polished concrete - another contractor - no cracking or settling. They also installed an I-beam to support an old chimney that couldn't be removed and that's rock solid as well. I have already recommended RB to neighbours and in fact they're underpinning a house on my street right now. Great crew with solid engineering and hard working labourers who work very quickly and precisely, all led by their main contractor who's honest, affable and a fantastic problem-solver. Here's the best part: we had three quotes and theirs was the lowest - true story. Couldn't be happier with the result. Laying down on a heated concrete basement floor in the middle of winter looking up at an 8 foot ceiling is something I'd never imagined could be so satisfying. If anyone's considering this very serious alteration to their home give RB a call, even if it's just for some advice and information. My guess is that if you do decide to dig they'll be the ones on the other end of the shovels.

    Several different services

    Used Rock Bottom Underpinning in late 2018 for underpinning, a walkout, and an addition for my basement project. The team at Rock Bottom was great; pricing was very competitive, and the quality of work was superb. Call and speak to either Dion or Jamie. They understand a homeowners struggles when it comes to home improvement projects and are always happy to share important information. Highly recommend Rock Bottom Underpinning for all your basement needs in Toronto

    Underpinning, Walkout & Hydronic Flooring

    Rock Bottoms service, team, and work was superb. Sam supervised the project from start to finish, and we couldn’t believe how quickly and efficiently the project was completed. On top of the great work provided, Rock Bottom Underpinning provided an “Underpinning Insurance Certificate” for both our house and our neighbours house as they were also underpinning the party wall. All prior contractors that we called couldn’t provide this benefit as they were not insured with such “Underpinning Insurance.” Overall a great experience - clean, efficient, and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t suggest any other underpinning company to underpin your basement

    Basement Renovations

    My family and I were very pleased with the work Rock Bottom did for our basement,. They were available and flexible to discuss and resolve any issues that came up. They finished the work on time and have competitive pricing compared to the rest of the market. I would definitely recommend Rock Bottom Underpinning as I am confident they can get the job done.

    Waterproof and lowered basement

    Rock bottom did an awesome job with our basement. They always showed up to do the job, kept the job site clean and organized and were professional and trust-worthy. We would recommend them to anyone who needs waterproofing or is going to lower their basement.
