    Extension

We live in a 100 year old house so there was concern about many things; HVAC, support, etc. Some creative work arounds were required. Arvin and Pezhman worked well with the contractor and inspector to get the job done. Always very courteous

Remove load bearing wall, install support beam

Work was scheduled for 2 weeks, after many delays work was completed in 10 weeks. Many of the delays were NOT the fault of the company. However the work was slow (general contractor was horrid,( read to the end)), my home was VERY dirty, dusty for the duration . General contractor did not use protective coverings on my furniture, carpet or stairways, a carpet in my basement was beyond repair and had to be destroyed. For some reason all the frame cutting was completed indoors, hence the extreme mess. The gentlemen that own the company were very knowledgeable about the work they were completing, kind, considerate and courteous. The trades rating: drywall: excellent, fast , clean, amazing detail work Electrical: good (he was working another business (non electrical), during the time he spent at my home- thus a 2 day job took 2 weeks), his work was good, though all the little cuts of electrical wire were left where they landed. H VAC: excellent Steel Beam installer: excellent Handyman general construction: HORRID Plumbing: excellent The general contractor was let go near the end of the job, but the damage to my carpets, furniture and just absolutely everything in my basement was horrific. You may wonder why I didn't complain about the general contractor; I was overwhelmed at the slow pace of the job , I was concerned that if I complained additional delays as this employee was replaced would extend the work even further. I would recommend this company with the caveat, do your own furniture and carpet coverings before any work is started. The finished product is very nice, I have a safe, solid steel beam supporting my open concept home.

Hello there. Thank you for this very detailed review and for all your patience during this project. We apologize to that you had this experience with one of our trade. We are happy that the rest of our crew did excellent job. To the readers, we would like to clarify the schedule and other important items contained in this review. Our original contract is to install 1 beam, 1 post, relocate 1 electrical switch and remove portion of the drywall in the ceiling to install the beam. When we started the job, the permit drawings that where provided to us did not reflect the correct scenario. As engineers and architects, we were able to take over the revisions of the drawings and resubmitted the drawings back to the city for approval (no additional cost to the client). We ended up installing 2 beams, 4 posts, 2 footings, relocated plumbing to feed the 2 bathrooms for the second floor, reroute 2 ducts for the second floor, rerun 2 central vac pipes, remove and reinstall the entire drywall ceiling in the kitchen, dining room and living room and half of the basement, remove and reinstall a portion of the subfloor, relocate a few number of electrical switches and was asked to install pot lights. We strongly believed that the amount of time spent are acceptable to finish all of these items including doing the engineering, drawings and waiting for the city. The unplanned changes and additional to the job resulted to unexpected dust and debris which we did our best to control. All throughout this project, we are communicating on a daily basis to the client in order to get their feedback and answer any of their concerns, if there are any. Throughout the project, we were very forthcoming and honest to the client; hence we don't know where the idea that saying anything will cause additional delay to the project came from. Thank you very much for reading and we hoped that we were able to explain our position and clarify the contents of this review. Rigid Frame always strive to meet and exceed clients' expectations in all of our project.

Drawings and permits for tricky garage

I contacted Pezhman on the merit of the other strong Homestar reviews. I liked him over the phone so agreed to have him come to the house. He came with his business partner and they were very nice, helpful, and generated ideas of how to replace our garage doors so that a vehicle could actually drive into the garage. They were very good to deal with, submitted all the drawings and the permit was granted in a flash.

    Great team to work with.

I have worked with Arvin and Pezhman at Rigid Frame now for over 5 years on many projects of various sizes and complexities. They are a great company to work with, they know their stuff, turn around designs in a reasonable amount of time and are well priced for the scope of their services. I will continue to use them for all of my Structural Engineering needs and would recommend them to anyone looking for an Engineer.

    Architectural and Structural permit drawings/Construction

We discovered significant structural issues in the basement of our 80's home within the first 6 months of moving in. We contacted and engaged Pehzman and the Rigid Frame team for a structural engineering consult and then engaged them to the work. Their drawings were very thorough and aligned to what we needed and wanted. We had no issues with our Town permits. We also contracted the actual work to Pehzman and team which includes structural beams, raising floors of a sunken living room, HVAC , electrical and plumbing. We are so impressed with the quality of the work from all trades ,the project management and the communication throughout the entire construction. This is the first we have ever undergone any structural design and construction and are so happy that we engaged the Rigid Frame team. Total professionals who are professional, reliable and do quality work.

Engineering drawings for removal of interior load-bearing walls

We reached out to Rigid Frame based on their excellent reviews on HomeStars, as we were looking to have some interior load-bearing walls removed to open up our main floor, and needed to get architectural/engineering drawings done. Pezhman was extremely easy to communicate with, and both Pezhman and Arvin were professional, knowledgeable and clearly take great pride in their work. During the first site visit they immediately spotted what looked like asbestos in the duct work, and put us in touch with an asbestos removal company to get it checked out. It turned out we had a significant amount of asbestos (not only in the duct work) that we had to get removed, which from a budgetary perspective meant that we put a hold on removing the interior load-bearing walls. We appreciated Pezhman's focus on our family's health and safety first, even when this meant we had to put a hold on the job we had initially contacted them for.

We hired Rigid Frame to help us with our home renovations and to build our addition. Pezhman and Arvin were both very helpful and always there whenever we had any question. They provided excellent recommendations and suggestions throughout the process. We received exceptional service in all areas of drawings, zoning, and permits. They were consistently updating us with any changes and prompt with any communication. Both Pezhman and Arvin were an immense help in getting our house to be what we hoped it would be.
