James was quick with calling back and with answering questions. He was very efficient and very professional. He knew his products. Price was just a tad more than another company we were strongly considering, but due to a couple of referrals, we decided to go with Dayside. Day 1 of installation, my husband happened to slide by the house and noticed that a window being installed on the second floor was the wrong window. After the installer looked up the schematics, the mistake was corrected. Day 2, all the windows were installed. Windows on the outside look fantastic and we’ve received a lot of comments from neighbours and friends. However, upon looking at the windows from the inside, just a few days after the installation, there was no wood filler used in the frame. The inside was unfinished and looked horrible. James insisted that filler was put in and that weather usually makes it come apart. Some of the void spaces were very large and after showing the pictures taken to contractors and friends, no one saw any sign of any filler. When I spoke to James about it, he stated that usually the “husbands will go around and fill it after” or the painters when they come in to paint the frame. James did come back and filled in the spaces, stating it would take about 20 minutes to do the top floor, but just under a couple of hours later, ran out of the wood filler before finishing all the windows and said he would return. A couple of weeks later, James texted and asked if the rest of the windows had been filled in. My response “they’ll be filled at our cost by the contractors”. That was it. No other communication made. The windows look great. But the job was incomplete. I will not be referring any friends or neighbours.
