Our markup covers the logistics involved with unexpected issues such as receiving a defective part or the wrong part before the installation visit takes place, getting the RMA (return merchandise authorization) on the parts and the reordering of the part again. In situations where the part failed after the installation, the cost of the technician coming back to remove the old part and then returning to install the part gain is done at no additional cost to you. We also provide a warranty on the parts for 90 days whereas the industry standard is 30 days. This gives you the peace of mind and confidence knowing that Repair Care is taking care of it all for you. We want to be part of the solution not add to the problem. Lianne, it is our practice to be very upfront about our pricing and you should have been told about our flat fee for repair or the cost of the service call if you did not go forward with the repair.
