    Hired to move my grandmother

    Hired them to help my great aunt move. We were really worried because she is elderly and hasn't had to move in years. But everything went really great. They showed up on time, had everything packed up safely and were very efficient. She was really reassured by their professionalism and how friendly they were. Can not say thank you enough for how great they took care of her.

    Moving service company

    I’ve heard so many great things about this moving company so I had to give it a try. I was excited to have the opportunity to work with them. My recent move was a sudden and stressful one. Metropolitan Movers completely changed the amount of stress and anxiety I was currently experiencing, by providing with excellent service. The truck driver was very skilled and careful with my belongings. I am very pleased with the quote they had provided me initially and satisfied that there were no changes and stood by their quote. I will surely refer them to my friends and family!

    relocating new house

    This company were recommended to us by local friends. They turned out to be a good hire as they were outstanding to work with. My husband and I moved two homes into one, requiring two teams and good coordination. Both teams were hard workers, arrived on time, and were very helpful and courteous. They operate a first class moving company and as they were recommended to us, in turn we highly recommend them to anyone.

    Moving Service Company

    I used this service to help my friend and her fiance move to Canada, it was hard to do research and find a moving company that would be helpful and be able to do everything that they needed and for a decent price at that. We were all pleased with the entire service; I may be sad to see them go but I know have a reason to visit Canada which is something that I always wanted to do. I want to say job well done and I will refer you to anyone that can use you.

    Moved from Edmonton to Calgary

    This was a fantastic moving service, the movers were on time, professional, friendly, courteous and they really took pride in their work. Everything was packed and ready to go they loaded their truck quickly and had everything packed in there and organized so the unload was just as speedy. The way they packed the boxes and other stuff on the truck allowed for all the rooms to be unloaded into the right place and nothing was broken! I would recommend Metropolitan Movers for all my friends and family as I wouldn't want to trust all my belongings to a second rate company. They are fast, friendly, professional and they care about your stuff!

    our new house

    Their service was beyond excellent. They showed up on time, were very polite and kind and worked for 5 straight hours. They were constantly moving and loading and lifting the entire time, all while being indulgent to our young kid who wanted to help out! We found no scratches or indents on any of our belongings as everything was packed very protectively. We would definitely recommend them to anyone.

    Movers

    I was also uninformed like many of the reviewers were that this move would be contracted out to outside movers. The mover themselves were okay they were rather friendly and showed up on time. However after they had loaded my stuff it took them over four hours to drive from Regina to Saskatoon when that Drive should take at the very most three. After the move I also noticed that my dark bedroom furniture had some scratches and dings on it. But that wasn't the worst of it the worst was when I was asking for a receipt or an invoice when I was paying. The mover seemed to have no idea what I was talking about when I said I needed an invoice because my work is reimbursing me for this move. Finally he produced a handwritten receipt that said the amount that I had paid and told me that they would send me via email an official invoice at the end of the day when he had imputed all the information to the billing department. Two days later I still hadnt received anything so I called them and after waiting on hold for what felt like forever I was talking to a lady who said she would transfer me to the billing department however she hung up on me, surprisingly enough someone called me back a few minutes later and he was extremely rude when I said what I wanted. He told me they would send out the invoice right away. When I asked how long he said right now and I that I can even wait on the line if i wanted. I couldn't because I had other things to do so i said if I didn't see it in a bit I would call again. Surprise surprise an hour later still no invoice. When I called back a lady informed me it would be at least 2-3 days till I got it. When I said that's ridiculous because someone else had told me they would send it today, and wanted to speak to a manager she said they would call me back. And again no surprise when I didn't receive a call back that day. After over a week of me needing to call multiple times everyday(they tended to say oh let me check then put me on hold and hang up) where I was told various things including: the billing department just closed, I'll submit an invoice request to the billing department, it usually takes 2-3 days to get an invoice, it can take 10-15 days to get an invoice. Finally I was given the number of the guys who actually moved me and told to try calling them. So I did, he seemed confused because apparently I had told him that the hand written receipt he gave me was enough. After explaining that it wasn't because if doesn't even have the companies name on it. He said he had lost their copy of it which was why he hadn't submitted it to the billing department. He told me they would make a new one and submit it right away. Later that day the cherry on top of this whole terrible experience happened. I got a call from them wanting to do a customer satisfaction survey. When I was in the middle of explaining how unhappy I was and that I wouldn't recommend this service to my friends I was put on hold mid sentence. And than they disconnected me. After 10 days and over 20 calls I finally received my invoice and I would never recommend this company because of their terrible customer service, and I don't at all know how it is they received a consumers choice award.

    moving

    Nice guys but extremely slow. My quote was 6 to 8 hours it took them 12. Broken expensive lamp, lost dining room table screws, too many smoke breaks. Cost $1860. Who can afford that! Sorry can't recommend then only warn others.

    Moving

    An absolute nightmare and damaged furniture. Workers were late, hid in the truck for hours, then refused to unload the final pieces until I paid $1000. The quote I had was $500. Used a "sister" company. I haven't ever seen a Metropolitan Movers truck in the GTA. They always seem to use "sister" companies. Not sure how they got these reviews. Possibly family and friends. I trusted what I saw here and was burned.

    Great experience with Great Moving Company!

    I found them through online search and after reading some wonderful google reviews took decision to work with them. We had a wonderful moving experience with Metropolitan Movers. I worried about our moving but these guys arrived on time. I appreciate their professionalism and honesty. No hidden charge!!
