I just recently called Shawn to ask him a couple of questions about my water softening system that were of concern to me. He promptly called me back and was able to provide the answers to my queries. Shawn had been referred to by a family member who had great experience with him. We purchased a home in Richmond where we had sulphur in our water and the smell that came along with it. We contacted Shawn and he was really knowledgeable and took his time to answer us all of our questions. The filtration system arrived as on the date he mentioned and we couldn’t be happier with the service. He also followed up after the installation which is a bonus.

I am on a well with a high iron content, particularly the soluble iron which causes rust stains when it oxidizes in air. We had a standard ion exchange water softener, but this was ineffective in removing the excess iron. We installed one of Iron&Sulfur Filter’s HIM systems a year ago, and we are delighted to report that this unit has performed flawlessly, removing all traces of iron from the water, and running with no problems. We purchased the unit for delivery to the Maritimes, and found shipping costs remarkably reasonable. We were easily able to install the unit ourselves, using only simple DIY plumbing skills, following which Shawn walked us through the set-up procedures with impressive personal attention. When the initial set-up proved to be inadequate to remove the increased iron content in the water which occurred in the Spring, Shawn immediately responded with direction which solved the problem. Altogether, a very superior product, with outstanding personal product support by the company.

My water was hard, sulfuric, highly mineralized and lots of sediment. This system has resolved all of these and I love that it self regenerates, which means never having to buy filters or even replacing the resin inside the filtration tank. All is automated except for having to add salt periodically. Hassle and worry free. Being a "Do it yourself-er", Shawn coached me through the installation and it was easy! I highly recommend!

Shawn did a fabulous job for my home's sulfur/iron filter and water softener installation. Shawn was punctual, courteous, attention to detail and knowledgeable. It's starting to work within hours! I am very happy to have found the best water consultant and highly recommend Ottawa Water Filters Co for your water needs. PS: My neighbor Vito has their sulfur/iron filter that was installed in 2012. It was set and forget with absolutely no issues for almost 10 years. When Shawn was in the neighborhood, he didn't mind showing Vito how to clean the filter inside to assure continued great performance. Thank you!

Our filtration unit was purchased a couple of years ago before I became president of our small condo. I am the least technical person alive and our water system died. The trouble shooting from this company over the phone is second to none. By sending photos of other equipment, a few phone calls and we were able to get our water system back on line. Just installed the filter last week, no surprises and it seems to works! Shawn talked me through the installation and with a few minor glitches on my part, it does what it's supposed to do. Very happy with the results.

After setting up well water for an expansive home irrigation system of 9 zones, to my absolute horror I began to start having reddish brown and orange marks all over my beautiful landscaped patio and driveway pavers. Upon reaching out to a few different options to solve this with no avail, Shawn (Ottawa Water Filters) came in as a saviour and solved my problem! Shawn is an honest, knowledgeable individual that acts in the best interests of his customers. About 12 years ago we had Ottawa Water Filters Co. install a filter to remove iron and sulfur from our water. This filter has worked out great, removing both the sulfur and iron from our water supply. I can highly recommend this group to anyone with water problems
