I put out a request for quote and received a reply from Phong that same morning and a site visit later that day. His pricing was very competitive and he was able to start within a couple of weeks. I needed tuck pointing done to an area of about a couple of square metres on the chimney and a small area near a back window. The parging repair was a much bigger area (8 to 10 sq metres) and involved a combination of concrete block with no parging and old parging that was cracked, broken and flaking, that needed to be removed and redone. On the first day the tuck pointing was completed. Phong found and fixed several spots I hadn't noticed myself. On day 2 the parging work was completed. Phong's parging and tuck pointing work is top notch. I've got a pretty critical eye when it comes to this sort of thing and have zero complaints. Phong also stands behind his work. A couple of days after the job had been completed I noticed a few small cracks in one area of the parging. I texted Phong (it was a Sunday) to let him know and he happened to be close by and came right over to fix it. There aren't many contractors I would give a 10/10 to, but Brick Aid Masonry certainly deserves it. I would not hesitate to have him back in the future.

Phong and his colleague came by at short notice to take care of some pointing work that had become necessary. This is my second time hiring Phong, and I've referred two happy neighbours to him in the past year. He is always efficient, professional and personable.

Phong came out on Sunday morning and located a probable cause for water seepage into my home and caulked the faulty area. He identified some areas that require attention in other parts of the house and gave some very helpful advice. He was extremely responsive and we will be happy to call upon him for any future brickwork that is needed.

My house is 31 years old. 3 of my front window sills were completely breaking away from my house! It was extremely hot and humid- but these guy's came on time, started the job immediately and never let up till the job was done. No loud talking or music blaring-they just worked extremely hard. Well worth the money!!

Once again Phong did a great job. He successfully built up the basement exit walls to prevent earth from being washed into the drain area at the bottom of the stairs. I particularly appreciate that he responded to my request so quickly. I was worried that the earth would block the drain during rainstorms so the longer I had to wait the more likely that there would be rainstorms. Thank you Phong.

I hired Brick Aid Masonry to do some tuckpointing and brickwork. Both Phong and Leo did a wonderful job! They were communicative and took their time to ensure the best quality work. The initial quote was for replacing 15 bricks. When they took a closer look, they see that we needed to replace 22 instead. They took the extra time and replaced the extra ones without charging. Phong gave clear communication from the start. What he needed to do and how much it would cost. Some of the bricks on my front porch were cracking and crumbling. Phong provided bricks that matched perfectly and finished the job with a professional touch. Would recommend Phong for any brick repair work. Professional work at a fair price.

Phong returned recently to repair a hole left in our brick wall by appliance installers. Last fall, he tuckpointed and replaced bricks, repaired extensively and thoroughly the parging on a stone rubble foundation, and replaced the broken lintel on a second storey window with a high quality limestone piece. Of the estimators engaged, Phong was the most observant and exacting in his estimate. On the job, he and his mason took care of the work site and worked carefully and methodically. When he was packing up at the end of the job, he noticed a patch at the front for which I had not asked for an estimate. He repaired the area immediately at no additional charge. Phong has already done two jobs for us. Should we need additional work, we will call him.
