Phong and his crew did a great job for us, removing four courses of bricks at the top of a wall of our very tall Victorian house, then tuck-pointing, replacing bad bricks and remediating water damage. This was a large and complicated task and Phong and his crew did fantastic, clean, and attractive work. They always came when they said they would and the job was done on budget and on schedule. Phong is very reasonable and easy to work with. He took very good care of us and our house and we could not be happier.

Phong had done a much larger job 4 yrs ago to re-install the stone to the whole side if our house. We were very satisfied with his quality of work,diligence and professionalism so we asked him to squeeze us in whenever possible to fill in the concrete on every small area of the foundation. He provided the same excellent level of service even if it was a very small job. We are very grateful!

We are having issues with a wet basement and our concern was that it was coming from damaged brick that needed replacing. Phong was very prompt in providing a quote and got the work done in a very efficient fashion. His communication was excellent and updated us many times during the process. At the end he went over the job and provided pictures of his work to make sure we are satisfied. Phong is a true professional and provided exception service and communication which I appreciate. Highly recommend this company!

Phong, Van and Teo did a great job. I found Brick Aid Masonry on Home Star and, after reading the reviews, I contacted Phong for an estimate. The work to be done was: grinding out joints (to remove a silicon for masonry product that we used ourselves to cover the missing mortar), tuck pointing and replacing approximately 30 bricks. Phong responded quickly, provided relevant information, a reasonable quote and a timeline. The team (Phong, Van and Teo) arrived early in the morning. They were professional, friendly and very hard-working. As bricks similar with the existing ones were no longer manufactured, Phong had to purchase the closest similar ones. The new bricks had a different size and they had to be cut. This took unexpected time and additional work to complete the project. In addition, removing the silicon product that we used to cover the missing mortar / joints was another challenging and time consuming job.Phong, Van and Teo worked continuously and diligently throughout the day until late evening. The team did an excellent job and I would highly recommend BAM and the team to anyone. Thank you again Phong, Van and Teo!

We had about 40 bricks that needed to be replaced since the adjoining interlocking sidewalk had sunk and the cement brick had wicked up the rain water and started to crumble. They were old brick and couldn't be replaced. I disassembled and angel stone planter and entrance porch wall, and Phong removed house brick from under our picture window to replace the damaged brick by the sidewalk. He then installed the angel stone under the picture window, which matched the fireplace chimney stone. He also used angel stone to finish off the end of the entrance porch where the planter had been removed. He also lifted the interlocking stone that had sunk along the wall and put additional limestone screenings under so it was sloping away from the wall. Lastly, he used a special spray on the lower courses of brick which would repel the water so the porous cement brick wouldn't absorb water in future. Overall and excellent job.

I can't rave about Phong and Brick Aid Masonry quite as much as other reviewers but I am still quite happy with the job they did. I hired them last autumn to repair several areas of our house where the brick was crumbling. Their quoted price was slightly lower than the others we got but not the lowest. Because of bad weather and a few health issues on their side, they were only able to spend one very long day here before it snowed and the weather got quite cold. We mutually agreed to defer the rest until spring. Frankly, I wasn't totally happy with their initial work. While the chimney repair and some other parts looked quite good, there were other areas that looked either incomplete (a few of the cracked bricks weren't replaced on the side of the garage) or not well done (the bricks on the window ledge weren't all cut to the same length). To be fair, they were working in the dark for the last hour or two. I took pictures and sent them with the list of my complaints to Phong. In spring, about a week ago, Phong came back with his son and they fixed all the problems I had pointed out as well as finishing the parts they didn't have time to start last fall. That's when the reason for all the past good reviews became clear. Phong cared a LOT about keeping me happy and didn't argue at all about fixing the parts that didn't look good, even including a few parts that I just noticed on that day. While the initial quality problems stop me from giving them 10/10, I have no qualms about recommending Brick Aid Masonry to those who want an honest, competent masonry company for a fair price.

We contacted Brick Aid Masonry as we had a multitude of brick work that needed attention. A Victorian building in the Annex- the work included a complete rebuild of a planter retaining wall to brick replacements and parging work on other sections of the building. They matched the bricks perfectly. Phong and his crew were professional and did a beautiful job replacing only what was required. No pressure sales tactic here, they are very honest and well definitely hire them again.
