    He never showed up to do the work He did not even call to let me know that he was not coming. I found this highly unprofessional

Unfortunately, our technician was sick yesterday, and we tried to call you to inform you that we didn’t have another technician available in your area at that time, but the call went to voicemail. We kindly ask you to consider removing the negative review, as we are still willing to send a technician tomorrow to complete a full assessment of your appliance. Please also note that the appointment was postponed multiple times on your end, and we never charged any cancellation fees. No work has been performed or billed so far. We appreciate your understanding and hope to resolve this matter to your satisfaction.

    Fridge and freezer both stopped working. The technician - Bill, came out promptly; he inspected the fridge and diagnosed the issue. He indicated that my make and model of fridge has a particular issue with the compressor and while he could complete the repair (estimated $1200), it would be more cost effective to contact the manufacturer, that has extended the warranty for this issue. Bill’s honesty and knowledge saved me quite a bit of money as the manufacturer indeed covered the repair under warranty. Highly recommend!

    They showed up on time, had to order a part for my dishwasher, came back the next day as they were eager to get my dishwasher up and running again. So was I. Seems to be working great now. Happy with the service.

    Don't use this company. They went ahead with a very expensive repair before getting approval from me, despite telling me that was their practice. Then they refused to leave until my tenant paid them, without contacting me as requested. I had arranged with Sam to make the payment via e-transfer, but the technician refused to leave the property until my tenant paid them. She's young and felt intimidated by the technician. We have contacted the police.

    After an initial visit from our usual appliance repair person, we decided to get a second opinion as we were told that we would need to get a new oven since the model was dated and the part needed for a repair was no longer available. Fixify was one of the first to respond to our HomeStars post. They sent a technician (Bilal) who was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He confirmed that our control board had short-circuited, but after he called his office, informed us that a repair was possible but required ordering a replacement control board from the US. We weren't excited at the prospect of trying to buy a new oven (a similar model/type would be over 2K), we decided to move forward with the repair. After a few days of waiting for the part to arrive, Bilal returned and was able to repair our oven! So far, it's been almost two weeks, and no issues so far! We figure if we can get another 5+ or more years out of the oven, it might align with maybe a kitchen reno. Thanks Fixify

    Terrible customer service and communication experience, despite a professional / reliable technician. Lack of clear communication about the time window. I was originally quoted an amount less than 50% of the final amount (the most expensive job I’ve ever paid for), even with no parts replaced and tax. Sam insisted on an e-transfer payment multiple times while I was requesting an invoice for a breakdown of the amount to understand the gap in pricing and what I was paying. It took some questioning of the math for Sam to admit that he’d charged me the wrong price (which wouldn’t have been discovered if I’d paid straight away), several days to get a breakdown of the costs (as the invoice was only one line) and needed follow-up payment confirmation, and the breakdown included a $50 parking fee (for 2.5 hours in downtown Toronto) that I hadn’t been informed about. I will not be using this company again, and strongly recommend that others do the same.
