Warranty Registration on new Furnace AC and air filter

I purchased and paid for a new Rheem furnace and AC and air filtration system from Reliance in November. My salesperson advised that all paperwork with respect to my manufacture warranties would be dealt with by Reliance. This needed to be done within 90days of install otherwise the warranty with the manufacture becomes invalid. There is a Reliance warranty but the contract states that you have both the manufacturer warranty and a reliance warranty to back the product. I asked for written confirmation that my warranty was registered with the manufacturer however after three months of many emails to my sales person I contacted Rheem myself and they told me that Reliance had not registered my warranty with them and I did not get the benefit of the additional protection. I have complained to Reliance through their customer relations people and was told over two weeks ago that a District Manager would be in touch with me. Still waiting. Be wary of promises made by these people. I thought I was dealing with professionals. Be careful and register your warranties yourself.

    Water heater repair

Thanks for sending the two most courteous and friendly guys to repair my mother in law’s water heater. She relies on the water heater to work with the furnace to heat her home. They showed up with in the time frame set. They actually went above and beyond and fixed a problem that was left by the previous job. Thanks again. Mike, and on behalf of V. Haw. Burlington Ontario.

Charged me $150 for a water tank that they never picked up

Never came to pickup water tank rental and I dropped it off after 3 months I returned it myself. They said everything is good and three years later I get a hit on my credit score. They never contacted me never sent me a bill.

    Professional and trustworthy!

Christian was not only knowledgeable but noticed that we had a less efficient installation from the previous Co who installed the AC. While being competitive in price, we knew then we could trust Reliance from the get go. Tim and Alex were the amazing team who installed our new furnace, they treated our home as it was theirs, thorough work, they took the time to explain the process, clean afterwards - so classy all the way in terms of quality and service!

    Water heater

Acc # 0161496214676434 Vianna Saldanha3060 Drumloch Avenue, Oakville Ontario, L6M 5H7 The worst experience ever! Extremely disappointing and incredibly frustrating! Our water heater started giving issues. We had some murky water from the taps but the water was hot, everything else was just fine! So as expected, we called Reliance Home Comfort, with whom we have a contract and an additional service plan for our water heater and furnace! Day 1- Technician shows up just for diagnosis. Tells us to change, not only the entire tank, but also the pipes! We agree! Estimated cost - $250 for the additional pipe+ $250 labour Day 2 - Technicians spend more than 8 hours breaking our drywall, ripping out the insulation and removing the pipe. Fix a new tank. Great! Same day, in less than 2 hours - NO HOT WATER and a foul stench and a bitter taste to the water. We call Reliance Home Comfort again. They book us for a technician! Day 3 - Technician arrives - tells us we have to change the mixing valve and it will cost us around $400! Could be more... but he doesn't have time to fix this for us! Note - everything was working just fine before the tank was changed.   Day 4 - We call Reliance again, they say we have to pay and they will send the technician to fix it. No notes were added by the previous technician.  We spend almost half an hour on the call - and then get a promise of $150 good will credit but we have to pay the remaining amount? WHY? Why should we pay anything out of our pocket when we didn't break it? Same day evening - The technician shows up - again! Fixes the issue for the foul taste and smell. Tells us he is NOT a PLUMBER so he can't change the valve! No technician for fixing the valve! The appointment with the technician was never booked! We're still stuck with cold water!  Your technicians are flushing out full tanks of water! Who is paying for that? You technicians are ripping off drywalls and insulations! Who is paying for that?Your technicians break the valve and then expect us to pay? WHY? We're here, more than $500 down and no hot water! Reliance - what is going on? Is this Customer Service?

Honeywell T6 Thermostat flipped to cool during March

Woke up to a cold house, furnace was not providing heat. Reliance technician found the Honeywell T6 thermostat had flipped from heat to cool. No problem with the furnace. The thermostat was not touched. I am now suspicious of this Resideo/Honeywell product, and am having a great deal of difficulty contacting them about their T6. My service call was covered under a warranty contract. Has anyone else had a T6 problem like this or was this a one-time fluke event?
