    New Hot Water Tank

From the moment we had discovered our Hot Water Heater had broken Reliance was eager to get our problem taken care of. We had previously owned our tank, and discovered getting it serviced was near impossible. Nick C was professional and took the time to explain the scope of what he had to do to complete the install. Our old tank was removed and new tank installed in two hours and we were back in business with Hot water!

    Service on Furnance

Had my furnace serviced, the 1st service guy ordered parts. When the 2nd service guy arrived to install the parts he discovered the wrong hose was sent instead of ordering the correct part he "cut and pasted a hose together". When I questioned this I was told not to worry. I called the company to complain and they sent a 3rd service guy out this guy still did not order nor install the proper hose on my furnace. Still waiting for the proper part to arrive and be installed. Not very happy with this poor service! Their customer service department will not do anything as the people that answer their phone do not understand the problem. This will be the last time I have this company service my furnace.

    Water Tank

called in because Building inspector told me there was a Leaky soldier joint to the hot water tank, I'm getting horrible hot water pressure in ALL taps/showers/laundry, etc. Rep comes on site next day, which was nice. Tells me that rust and moisture leaking from pipe is just condensation from heat of the exaust vent and the cold of the inlet pipe. Buyable. Except Clearly, the crud/minerals/corrosion has built up into a mountian. He then proceeds to show me melted plastic on the hot water heater, where the pipes come in and out. This is because the exaust vent gets very hot. it scared the crap out of me. He assured me it wasn't an issue.... which I find hard to believe. its MELTING. It holds 40 gallons of steaming hot water. How is it not an issue? I then tell him about my horrible water pressure. it takes 15 minutes for my washer to fill up with hot water... or 2-3 minutes for a cold load. Shower has to be set to almost 80% full hot to get proper temperature. He informs me he won't be fixing it because we still have hot water, and it might be our pipes, not the water heater. I told him I find that hard to believe, as the pipes are dented or anything, and it effects EVERY outlet in the house, even the one thats 4 feet from the water heater. Regardless, he basically said I could try draining the tank and refilling it to see if that helps, but wouldn't help me do it. I'll be buying my own hot water heater as soon as I can afford it. Also, Sick of high pressure sales. Every time I call, they keep hassling me to sign up for 60 dollars a month worth of protection plans, which still wouldn't have covered my issue anyway. I know this seems overly negative, but if you look at my other reviews, they are honest and to the point. The person who visited did put on boot covers, and was very clean. He seemed to offer a lot of advice, but no real help when I asked for it. How can the 4 feet of pipe different from the cold vs. hot be the cause of my horrible hot water pressure? its either the leaky connection (which still glistens when I set the hot water heater to "vacation" for a week) or something restricting the flow inside the heater itself... Again, Going to purchase my own water heater. They've very well lost a customer for life.

I had my water heater changed and the guys were very quick and pleasant. They did an excellent job. Thank you so much. I am with Reliance. It was at no cost to me because it is a rented unit,

    Repaired leaking humidifier

Paul Chattarpaul was great! He identified the issue with the humidifier and repaired it on the spot, as well he identified the filter on my UV purifier needed cleaning which was great since the previous sales and service person said it did not need clueing. Thank you Paul!

    Water heater not working

Reliance has the worst service around. I can hardly wait to get this crappy heater out of my house. I will never ever be held ransom by a company under a contract. Beware all you people out there...this is why these types of companies want a contract. So they can screw you around any way they like..not happening with me anymore

    Furnace

I called for an annual checkup for the furnace. Rick, the technician who came, was very friendly and gave me good tips to maintain my equipment. I would ask for him again next time.

I recently bought a furnace from Reliance Home Comfort and was more than pleased from the minute Shannon stepped in the door. She was helpful and informative. The installation was flawless and we are extremely comfortable in our home. Thanks!
