Called them because I have the heating protection plan. They assessed same day and said it was the control board. The guy who came didn’t seem to think we would be able to “get the right part” as apparently it’s hard to get parts for lennox? Which makes no sense to me since they still make furnaces and are a pretty reliable company. The part came almost a week later, as soon as this same guy comes he says *before even opening the box* I sure hope it’s the right part..... which made me wary and think did he purposely order the wrong one? Sure enough- didn’t work. He then proceeds to basically tell me my only option is to rent or buy new. Which is complete horse crap, it’s a perfectly fine furnace, just needs a control board. I starting searching online and said Um, they are available online?? So he goes oh I’ll call our distributor and see if they have any... the lady on the phone was quite helpful and called Lennox herself and was able to order the correct board. Which now leaves me with no heat for another 4 days if not more. On his way out he suggested again about buying a new furnace (which I believe was his intention the whole time- and had no intention to try and fix the problem) anyway- still don’t even know if that part will work but it really made me rethink this program. Seems like they don’t want to fix anything and basically just tell you you need a new furnace.
